"Acha~. You really got us well, Rina!"

Ascertaining it was just black cat alone, It didn't take me much to connect the dots.

"Meow-Meow!"

"Hmm? Oh, alright-y."

"Z-Zephyr! What's the meaning of this black cat! H-Has Karua been eliminated?!"

Rika, having just returned back, asked in a flustered manner.

Pamela and Misato were tagging alongside her. It appears they're all right.

I had them account the details, and learned that their situation was so dire they're about to be eliminated by the opponent's force. However, Class-8 arrived in time and saved the day for them.

To summarize; heck, it sounds like a peak of excitement! Rrgh, I can't believe I missed such a fun party!

*Ahem*. Anyway, it appeared the royal rumble ended up in the two leaders---from Class-9 and Class-10—being eliminated. ...So early? But the finale had just begun......

Afterward, I explained the implication of black cat's presence here. In short, "Karua is unable to fight."

Well, I had more or less imagined what could be the reasons behind absence of follow up reports. Uh-huh, and here I thought I already had stopped Noel. No wait, this was probably Rina pulling the strings. But the question was, how?

Never mind. We'd have more important things to consider than trying to figure out what might have happened.

"Explain, Zephyr! Karua... What happened to her!? Is she eliminated?! What's the situation with her!!?"

"Calm down, Rika. Hey, don't shake me like that. I know you're worried but losing your calm wouldn't give you your answers."

At the end of my words, Rika zapped toward my direction, grabbing me by my equipment, seeking an answer while shaking me.

Wow, this girl really needs to calm down her nerves.

"I understand your concern for Karua, Rika, however fretting over it wouldn't be of any help-desu!"

Pamela chimed in, and helped me by dragging Rika away.

Phew.

"B-But, what about Karua, Pamela?! Karua is...!"

"Geh, you're giving me dizziness, Rika."

"H-How can I not do that?! If anything, how are you so calm!!?"

"I am also worried, believe me, but your impatience alone gave me my rationale."

Yup, sometimes, it's easy to remain calm when you see someone being more anxious than yourself.

"Alright, at least she is not eliminated completely if black cat is here. I think she is probably captured somewhere else, and if you ask me, she might be having a good sleep right now."

Capture. It was one of the popular strategies even in the game. Since the intermittent broadcast would display the present member count of any class, sometimes it was possible a strategy shimmering behind the curtain would be spoiled, bringing the attention of others. Plus it would also be an incentive to raid the bases of weakened classes.

But, if they're captured, which means still present in the arena, the highlight wouldn't show the elimination of any team.

I had often used this tactic too. It was like 'Captured Princess's Breakout Plan' that is a common troup among media. It was quite fun though. Well, some also purposely captured members just to lure opponents in it. Personally, I never lost here, and always was the one to bring back the captured princess.

Oh wait, I derailed from the topic once again.

Anyway, if she wasn't captured, then she must be sleeping somewhere under the influence of an item or something. Heck, I bet my money on later.

Well, I had expected something like this to occur. After all, «Sleep» was Karua's biggest enemy. And the exceptional part of this abnormal stats was that it could be applied even without dealing damage.

If there was something that could better fetter irrespective of job, or agility, it was these abnormal stats.

The prime target who could have achieved this was «Songstress Princess» Noel. But how could it have been achieved if Karua could've just escaped with her agility? And that's where the rules come into play. As a matter of fact, every obstacle, like a mountain, was counted as occupying one square.

Take the central mountain for example. By normal standard, it occupies an area equivalent to 81 squares, but the mountain was only counted as one. There was no restriction inside that we're usually available against them.

In short, a wide area of effect could easily affect even the members in distance, as there was no boundary of squares of the whole mountain was counted as one. But of course, the doubt would emerge. How could a base job possess such a potent skill with long reach, but «Songstress Princess» actually had. Or well, not being ordinary is the typical business of «Princess» job category.

Admittedly, it required work of several skills---like, using unique skill «Princess Idol Live» and «Special Song» would increase the overall effect, the «Distance Whisper» allows her voice to spread far and wide, and at the end, using «Sleeping Melody» to deliver the effect—but there was no escaping once that happens.

—In the game, it was even given the title «A Seal that traverses the Mountain».

This was one thing I had been extremely valiant for Karua. In fact, I would've purchased «Sleep Resist» accessories, but it was bad luck that I didn't see the inter-class battle take place so suddenly, and by the time I hurried up, the market was clean of them.

The characteristic of «Sleep» was such that the afflicted person wouldn't wake up until an ally or an enemy dealt some impact. While waiting for naturally waking up was as good as never counting that member. Furthermore, if she hadn't been able to sleep much due to the excitement, the lack of sleep might push her into deep sleep.

So this was one thing I had requested Mert in my earlier request to not bring Noel's skill in between. And yet, it appeared Rina had got us, somehow successful in sealing her.

She really has grown to be an excellent tactician already, didn't she? Well, at least the black cat came back alone, and that was enough for me to know what had happened.

This was our strategy. I had asked Karua to always keep a normally summoned black cat by her end since the summons were impervious to abnormal status. On the side note, Karua could summon up to 2 black cats at a time, however summoning only one allowed the summon to remain for much longer.

"And this is what I presume happened. Shizu, we need to rescue Karua it seems. Follow the black cat, it should show the way."

"Understood."

If Rina was the culprit that I am assuming, then Karua must be already visible in the «Dragon's Miniature Garden» than. And Shizu was our countermeasure for that.

"Oh, and if you manage to save her, tell her---------"

"---Understood. Then I shall leave now."

"Meow, meow."

After passing my message, I saw Shizu and Black Cat leaving. I had a hunch Shizu would complete her mission in a flash.

With the thought in a corner of my mind, I turned to all the members gathered here.

"What's our next move, Zephyr?"

Rika asked, regaining her composure seeing Shizu was on the move. I guess she was assured of Shizu's perfection.

"Well, let's begin with the information exchange. Starting with me, I and Ester noticed a fortress in the north."

My words stirred everyone. A confused expression on their faces.

I know, and indeed. It's confusing without understanding the underlying reason.

New novel 𝓬hapters are published on ƒreewebɳovel.com.

I proceeded to provide an explanation first.

"Sheesh, that's quite a bold move from Rina."

"Have you thought about how to tackle them, Zephyr-kun?"

A groan escaped Rika, while Misato inquired.

"Before that, you'll have done a good job in laying the foundation. Now, it's time to dive into the main action. Starting now, we shall begin with our offense, and---we are going to use «White Throne» for that. It's time to bring down their fortress!"

Frankly, the «White Throne» was strong. Its firepower was so off-the-chart that it instead brought an hesitation in using it. It was the mirror to what an advanced job was capable of achieving.

I wouldn’t have brought it up in the finale, but Rina had forced our hand. The fortresses, the tri-party alliance, and capturing Karua.

She'd done a good job in turning a worthy opponent. So it was my duty to answer her effort with our acknowledgment.

It was time to show why advanced jobs were the pinnacle---the lump of out-of-norm subjects—of all, starting with the «Seraphic Saintess». And why it was ranked No.3 in the Official Strongest Job Ranking (Advanced Section).

There had been a good reason why despite being healer oriented, the «Seraphic Saintess» managed to spread her brilliance and got the throne of No.3.

I just hope they're ready to face one of the world's strongest job. A summit that basic job would never be able to cross.
