Reincarnated By The Weakest Primordial Being(but with OP growth twist)-Chapter 22: QUEEN OF THE DEVILS
Maya moved.
Her steps were slow, deliberate—each one heavy with the weight of killing intent. The air around her warped, trembling1 as a black-purple aura bled from her body like an endless storm of malice. It didn’t just glow; it devoured the light, drowning the cavern in a suffocating darkness that sent chills crawling up every spine.
Her voice broke the silence like a whisper from hell—low, venomous, every syllable dripping with raw power.
"No one interferes now," she said, her tone colder than steel. "While I... finish this monster myself."
The ground trembled, then cracked beneath her feet as her power exploded outward like a volcanic eruption. The air became dense, almost unbreathable. Her once-amber eyes now burned with an eerie, demonic brilliance—piercing violet flames that radiated pure annihilation. For the first time, even Surya—the monstrous leader of the Corrupted Hunters—hesitated.
Her presence was no longer human.
It was something else.
Something greater.
Something terrifying.
The Queen of the Devils.
---
AK stood frozen, breath caught in his throat, heart pounding like a war drum.
Holy shit... what am I even witnessing?!
Last time... in the erased timeline... there had been Luv, the squad leader of the Corrupted Hunters. A nightmare, yes, but a nightmare AK knew how to escape from. Back then, HRX—the legendary hunter—had arrived like a savior, clashing with Luv in a battle that shook the dungeon. But now? Things were different.
Because HRX wasn’t here.
Because this wasn’t Luv.
This was Surya.
A man wielding a forbidden device known only in whispers—Death Call, a relic capable of twisting a human into something unholy. Surya wasn’t a man anymore. He was something else. Something worse.
Surya surpasses them both... Luv and HRX, AK thought, his stomach knotting like iron chains. And now, it’s Maya against him. A fight between two monsters. Fifty-fifty... maybe less. Gods, I don’t even know who’s stronger.
His fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white. I’m weak. So damn weak. I can’t even stand next to her right now.
---
Surya’s laughter slithered through the cavern, deep and mocking. "So... this is it? The legendary guild leader unleashing her true colors?" His voice warped as his form began to change—bones cracking, muscles swelling, flesh twisting into something grotesque. His mask shattered, revealing a face stretched into a nightmarish grin, black veins crawling like serpents beneath his skin. His size doubled, tripled, his body steaming with raw power.
"You think this scares me?!" Surya roared, his voice echoing like a demon’s wail. "This is the gift of the Death Call! I am beyond your reach!"
But Maya didn’t flinch. Not even an inch.
She walked. Slowly. Each step sinking cracks into the stone floor. Her aura screamed violence, whipping around her like a hurricane of blades. Her hair billowed wildly, strands of obsidian framed in purple lightning. Her lips curled into something that wasn’t quite a smile—something too sharp, too cruel.
Then—she vanished.
No warning. No sound. One moment she was there, the next she wasn’t.
A sonic boom shattered the silence as she reappeared in front of Surya, her blade already slashing downward with a speed that tore the air itself apart.
CLANG!
The strike landed with the force of a meteor, the impact sending a shockwave ripping through the cavern. Wind screamed like a living thing, ripping chunks of stone from the walls, flattening everything in its path. Surya was hurled backward, smashing into a mountain of jagged rock with an earth-shaking crash. The stone exploded like glass, fragments raining down in a deadly storm.
Ash’s eyes went wide. "What the actual hell—?!"
But before anyone could breathe, a sound crawled through the rubble.
Laughter.
Low. Twisted. Getting louder.
Surya stepped out of the smoke, his monstrous frame unmarred except for a deep slash across his chest, black blood oozing like tar.
"So... this is your limit?" he hissed, grinning like a beast. "Pathetic."
And then his power surged.
His body convulsed, bones cracking louder this time as his flesh warped further. Spikes erupted from his spine like jagged obsidian blades. His arms thickened, claws elongating into weapons of pure bone. His teeth became fangs, his grin stretching until it split his cheeks.
Surya wasn’t human anymore.
He was a demon wearing a corpse for skin.
---
"MAYA!!!" AK shouted instinctively as the monster roared, shaking the dungeon. The ground splintered beneath its feet as it slammed a clawed fist into the earth. The floor erupted like an earthquake, jagged stone spikes shooting up in every direction—a death field designed to shred anything in its path.
But Maya...
She didn’t stop.
She didn’t slow down.
Her eyes slid shut for a heartbeat.
Then her sword moved.
One slash. Then another. Then another.
Blades of compressed wind tore through the cavern like divine punishment, slicing spikes into dust, ripping open the air with each swing. The ground split beneath her power as her aura blazed brighter, a storm of purple and black flames spiraling around her.
And then—she flied with the wing of aura.
A flash.
A sound like thunder.
And suddenly, she was behind Surya.
For a moment, no one understood what happened.
Then blood sprayed in a wide arc.
Surya froze mid-step, his massive body trembling. Slowly, he turned his head, his monstrous grin faltering for the first time. His chest split open, a gash so deep it glowed with the remnants of Maya’s aura.
His voice broke in a guttural rasp. "You... bitch..."
Then his legs buckled, and the beast fell.
The impact shook the world.
Silence.
For a long moment, no one moved. No one spoke.
Then— 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"We... we won?" Ash whispered, his voice trembling with disbelief.
Phaphy, clutching his bruised ribs, broke into a grin. "Holy crap, we actually won!"
Aisha stepped forward, her soft voice cutting through the stunned quiet. "It seems... it’s over."
Everyone’s eyes turned upward—to Maya.
She hovered in the air, her sword still dripping black blood, her body framed in an unholy glow. For a moment, she looked like a fallen goddess—majestic and terrifying all at once.
But then... her wings of aura flickered.
And she began to fall.
---
"MAYA!!!" AK didn’t think. He didn’t plan. He just moved—legs screaming, heart pounding, every nerve on fire as he sprinted across the shattered battlefield.
Her body tilted, descending like a broken angel.
And then—his arms caught her.
For a breathless moment, time froze.
She lay against his chest, her hair brushing his cheek, her warmth seeping into his skin. His heart roared like a raging sea as his eyes locked on her face—flushed, exhausted, yet still impossibly beautiful.
A romantic pose. The kind that only happened in stories.
Until her eyes snapped open.
And her fist slammed into his shoulder.
"What the hell are you doing, idiot?!" she barked, glaring up at him. "You think this is some kind of drama scene?! Put me down!"
Flustered, AK loosened his grip, nearly dropping her. "I—I wasn’t—damn it, never mind!"
She landed gracefully on her feet, brushing dust from her armor as if nothing had happened. But AK swore—just for a second—her ears were pink.
---
"What kind of skill was that?" AK blurted, trying to mask the heat burning his face. "That last move... the flying, the aura... what the hell did you just do?"
Maya’s expression softened—just a fraction—as she slid her blade back into its sheath. "Berserker Mode. And wind elemental control. The last attack was a Wind Severance—a forbidden technique. And as for the flying..." She smirked faintly. "Let’s just say the wind carried me."
Then her eyes hardened again. "But none of that matters now. What matters is this—we won."
AK let out a shaky laugh, running a hand through his sweat-damp hair. "Yeah. Congrats to us."
He extended a hand toward her, a grin tugging at his lips. "Good fight, partner."
But Maya... didn’t take it.
She walked right past him, toward Hazzy and the others.
And in that moment, something sharp lodged in AK’s chest. Like an arrow tearing through flesh. His hand hung in the air, empty, trembling.
Don’t take it personally, he told himself bitterly. She just didn’t notice. That’s all.
But it still hurt like hell.
---
The team erupted in cheers, voices echoing through the cavern as they gathered around Maya, showering her with praise. For a brief moment, joy bloomed in the darkness—a fragile thing, but real.
Until Aisha spoke.
"Everyone," she said softly, her voice cutting through the noise like silver. "Don’t forget... the boss is still alive."
The words fell like a stone in water, rippling through the group.
The laughter died. The air grew heavy again.
She was right.
The dungeon wasn’t cleared yet.
They had slain the hunters. But the true challenge still awaited—the Dungeon Boss. The heart of this nightmare.
And so, weapons were raised once more. Tired limbs steadied. Bloodied bodies stood tall.
And as they ventured deeper into the abyss, mining mana stones along the way, none of them knew—
The worst was yet to come.
