Reincarnated as a Lizard-Chapter 354: Sixth Evolution (1)

Feeling her excitement for her sixth evolution growing as she had now finally managed to reach the limit of her current evolution and was ready to undergo her sixth evolution, Scaly decided to find a place away from the carnage she had caused to the rather unfortunate group of dream bears that had turned into the final stepping stone for her to reach level 40. Intent on checking out the evolutions that had become available to her this time around.

After all, even if she wasn’t going to undergo her evolution immediately in her current location, she still had the ability to check out the evolutions that had become available to her.

But before any of that, she first decided to give her status a look to see if anything special had happened now that she had reached the limit of her current evolution.

However, outside of a new skill that she chose to pretend didn’t exist, nothing new had appeared nor had any of her skill increased in level during her slaughter of the dream bears. Understandable all things considered, given that her skills were already starting to become more difficult to level up, and she doubted a one-sided battle would be of much help when it came to increasing the level of one of her strongest skills like her dragon claw strike.

And so, with her status looking unchanged in her eye outside of the increase in level, Scaly turned her attention towards the familiar interface that could be summoned with a single though ever since she reached level 40.

Just looking at this familiar line of text filled her with excitement as she already let her mind wander thinking about what kinds of evolution would be available to her this time around. Perhaps a stronger version of her current evolution? Or maybe other dreamscape related dragon evolutions?

No matter what it was, Scaly looked forward to seeing what would appear.

But before finding somewhere to safely undergo her sixth evolution she had to wait.

However, with how much she was looking forward to her sixth evolution, it didn’t take long before she set off to find somewhere safe to undergo her sixth evolution.

Originally, part of her had wanted to just go through her sixth evolution on the spot and use the hiding place of the dream bears to go through her evolution, but on second thought, she realized that the hiding place of the dream bears was far from optimal and would at most stay safe for a few days. Far from long enough to ensure a successful sixth evolution.

For her to find somewhere safe, Scaly soon enough turned her attention to the small floating islands that were now barely visible in the distance.

Although there was a high likelihood of those floating islands drifting away from the floating continent during her sixth evolution, she felt that they might be the best choice for her on second thought.

Not just because she realized that some of the dreamscape monsters found within the sky of the dreamscape could still be eaten, but more so because a genuine fear had emerged within her after the encounter with the devourer of dreams, as a part of her she was unwilling to acknowledge genuinely feared that there might be other similarly powerful dreamscape monsters lurking nearby ready to wake up and cause destruction like the one from earlier had.

The fact that she couldn’t even sense or see these demigods of the dreamscape that lurked on the floating continent only made them more terrifying.

Whoosh~

And so, after a short flight back to the edge of the floating continent, Scaly soon enough moved over the edge and flew towards one of the nearby floating islands that only had a few weaker dreamscape monsters. Choosing the specific floating island because it had a natural space for her to hide away inside just beneath the floating island itself that was easy to block off. Ensuring she remained sealed away somewhere difficult to reach during her evolution...

And when she silently sealed herself off inside the small space a little over five times her own size, so not exactly that small, she turned her attention towards the familiar interface once again before silently answering the question.

Yes!

Watching excitedly as the interface was soon enough faded before being replaced with a long familiar looking list of evolutions the next second.

Filled with excitement, as her attention finally turned to the first entry on the long list...

[Dreamscale Dragon (Second Stage)]

[Requirement: Already a Dreamscale Dragon]

[Description: The dreamscale dragon is a small dragon covered in soft glowing scales that are rumored to change depending on the dreamscale dragon’s environment, while its wings are translucent. Making them difficult to spot while making the dreamscale dragon look almost like it’s wearing a thin veil from a distance.

The abilities of a dreamscale dragon are considered unique among dragons, as it isn’t particularly powerful. Instead, having the unique ability to enter the dreams of sleeping beings.

Why a dreamscale dragon enters dreams and what it gains from this is unknown. Scholars have attempted to research the dreamscale dragon to find out but find themselves helpless when it comes to finding these unique dragons, as while they lack power, they can freely move between the dreamscape and the material plane.

Dreamscale dragons are not native to any specific region or environment and can be found wandering dreams of creatures across the world. This does not mean the dreamscale dragon is easy to find, as it is still an incredibly rare type of dragon.

The second stage of the dreamscale dragon can be considered a fully grown dreamscale dragon. More than twice the size of the former evolution, while also being significantly stronger. Different from the earlier evolution, the second stage of the dreamscale dragon also has the unique ability to preserve itself through mana alone, a crucial aspect for most adult dragons to stay alive, as their growing size makes it increasingly difficult to sustain themselves normally. A trait shared by other similarly large living beings.]

Unsurprisingly, the first possible evolution was none other than a second stage to her current evolution that didn’t exactly excite her much outside of the fact that she would gain the ability to sustain herself through mana without the need to constantly worry about food any longer.

Before entering the dreamscape, she hadn’t exactly thought about the problem of food, but now that she had realized she couldn’t eat every dreamscape monster she ran into along with the fact that it was becoming more difficult to continue hunting normally without constantly having something to eat, she had realized that this was a true problem she needed to tackle.

Now that a solution had been presented to her, she felt hopeful that this worry of hers would disappear.

Of course, none of this meant she would ever stop herself from munching on delicious monsters, as she had absolutely no intention of ever stopping herself from enjoying a delicious treat.

With that in mind, Scaly soon enough turned her attention towards the second entry on the list of possible evolutions.

[Grand Lizard Queen]

[Description: The grand lizard queen is a mythical being amongst lizard kin and an existence that exists above the realm of lord realm monsters, a true ruler among lizards with a size comparable to a fully grown land dragon.

Throughout history, only two grand lizard queens have emerged amongst the proud lizards that roam every corner of the world, and both left their mark for all to remember. Even to this day, scholars and adventurers alike still study and marvel at the ones grand empire created by these two rulers of fate and the sheer scale of what they created.

Stopping herself from reading any more of the pro lizard propaganda that big lizard had managed to lobby their way into filling the description of the grand lizard queen evolution with, Scaly decided to focus her attention on the evolution below it.

Silently hoping not to encounter another lizard evolution again, as she seemed cursed to encounter these lizard evolutions whenever she wanted to go through an evolution...
