Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 777: Other Motives
After Seth watched the drill-shaped Beyonder machine leave the Outerverse, he bid the two Ancient entities farewell and piloted his arkship away from the edge of the universe.
Although he never got to see the true forms of these ancient ones, take a close look at them, and had never done so since he knew them he was satisfied. Seth didn’t want to know them too much.
There were some explicit implications of having too much knowledge about certain entities that were too powerful for reality to configure.
Seth was satisfied like this, he didn’t want to know them more than what he already knew.
As long as there was an agreement between him and them and knowing that they were eternally chained to this place, Seth was okay and that was enough for him.
If someone was to trace back and find out when all this started, they would be very confused.
After all, this should be the first time at least that Seth was officially stepping out of the Original Heaven since he became an Immortal.
Then, how did he know all these things and those entities?
The only explanation would be that Seth had been leaving the Original Heaven and coming to the mortalverse way more often in the past.
Right under everyone’s noses.
He had been setting up his own designs for a long time.
While he was in the arkship commander chamber, going back to the galaxy housing the mortalverse branch of the ancient feline alliance.
*DING!*
The sound of a bell echoed in his head. At first, Seth merely ignored it, pretending as if he did not hear anything.
*DING!*
But then, the sound came again, louder and more frequent. It started to disturb him.
Sighing, Seth dipped his hand into his pocket space and brought out the transmission device.
The pocket space was a really useful piece of technology. For entities like him and those tier 7 equivalent, ripping the fabric of space to create a little pocket dimension was not hard, but it would never be stable or last long enough to be used effectively.
Monsters like Kael, Katari, or Quin, and those with related abilities could create organic pocket spaces which were pocket dimensions that could be sustained with the powers of the user alone.
Those who could not sustain such dimensions would just use very complex magic runes inscribed on their body or an artifact.
Seth was using a magically inscribed rune, something he was planning on getting rid of very soon.
Looking at the transmission device, Seth flashed to his chair at the center of the command chamber and sat down, making himself comfortable.
His fluffy tail curled around the back rest of the chair as he pressed a button.
"Father," Seth greeted with a respectful tone.
"Seth, have you been ignoring my calls?" The Patriarch of the Luthor House asked with a voice that expressed genuine annoyance.
"No," Seth responded calmly, "I’ve just been making sure that the tigers are put in order. They’ve been getting rowdy for a while."
"Hmm?" The Patriarch sounded surprised, "Did something happen? You didn’t tell me anything."
"Oh, I didn’t tell you? I thought I did..." Seth said.
This was an obvious lie and the Patriarch knew it. How could a mid-level immortal forget that kind of crucial information?
It was impossible.
"What is it?" The Patriarch asked, his voice grim and accompanied by a very low and threatening growl.
"It’s the lions,: Seth said, "A few of their Immortals tracked the Primordial Cheetah to take their revenge.
They didn’t succeed, but they still managed to kill a few mortal powerhouses."
"How does that affect the tigers being rowdy and you being unable to pick up my calls?" The Patriarch asked, his voice noticeably getting louder.
"I was getting to that," Seth continued, "They killed Chen, the one who was holding the title of leader in the Tiger race. It may have skipped my mind, sorry Father."
Seth apologised.
The Patriarch sighed where he was.
"Harley did not tell me anything about this," He said.
Harley was the Council member of the Ancient Felines Council representing the tigers.
Seth had given all of them transmission devices so that they could communicate with their council members in Original Heaven and coordinate their plans properly for effective cooperation.
But Harley had not mentioned anything about this happening at all.
"That’s because it happened very suddenly, I’m sorry Father."
Seth apologised again, not because he was truly sorry, but because he wanted the Patriarch to let go of the matter.
Seth didn’t want to dwell on the matter longer than he had to to avoid suspicion.
He had mixed lies and truths.
Indeed, some immortal lions had actually tracked down the Primordial Cheetah to kill him, but they did not succeed.
Seth wasn’t lying about that part.
The lions, being true to their reputation, had no single bone of forgiveness or mercy in their body, especially when it was for a non-lion.
However, although the lion group that came did not succeed in killing the Speedster Assassin, they had caused a ruckus and eliminated thousands upon thousands of panthers and cheetahs from the respective civilization.
They made sure to spill enough blood to fill up two or more planetary oceans before being chased away.
Seth had lied about the part of them killing Chen.
Chen had been with Seth on that day and was protected until Seth chased the immortal lions away with his superior power level.
Obviously, Chen was not dead, he had gone to a place Seth did not want anyone, including his father, to find out about.
All the Patriarch would need to do was ask some questions and he would know that Chen simply went missing and his death was never confirmed.
"Seth?" The Patriarch called, calming his tone.
"Yes, Father?" Seth paid attention.
"I hope you have not forgotten what we are aiming for, my son?"
Seth straightened his back in the chair and looked around. The room was silent and only the voices of two people could be heard.
Because he did not want to take chances, Seth pressed another button on the transmission device, switching the setting so that all the information would come in the form of encrypted telepathic waves.
"No, I haven’t, Father," Seth replied solemnly.
"They tortured your brother so badly that he nearly exposed the secret of the Slave Lion Avatar. His death was necessary, but it wasn’t justified.
It is right to put the blame on the lions, on the All-King and his bastard group of tyrants."
The Patriarch spoke with a little hint of anguish as a deeper growl laced his voice.
He had tens of thousands of children but not all of them were as impressive as Seth and Chez, it was a great loss for him. The day Chez’s soul mark suddenly went out was a dark day for him.
It had coincidentally happened right before Kael’s consort, Ruda, was assassinated. Basically within the same hour both their deaths had been confirmed.
This led some to believe that the death of Chez was a very swift and brutal retaliation from the Lion Hegemony.
But the Patriarch knew, he had placed that spirit seal in Chez’s head himself and knew why his son died.
Seth knew too.
Sitting on his chair, he squeezed his fists and allowed the cold wrath to simmer into a serene boiling lake.
He couldn’t allow any desire for revenge to stray from his designs. He refused to be like that abomination.
"I haven’t forgotten, Father." Seth said, his glowing white eyes looking down at the transmission device, "The fall of the lion race is inevitable as we planned.
It’s just taking a little longer than expected because of all the surprises. In the long run, the result is certain." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Seth answered with seriousness. The lions were a threat that absolutely could not be ignored by anyone whose interests fell in that direction.
"Hmm," The Patriarch seemed to smile where he was.
"Don’t get too carried away though. Remind yourself every hour and every day that everyone and everything, including the lions, are just stepping stones.
They are there to pave a path to our rise...and our ascension..."
Seth raised his head and closed his eyes, preparing himself for a short nap while his arkship automatically flew to its destination.
"Trust me, Father, it’s the only thing on my mind," Seth replied and rested his head on top of the backrest.
"Good."
After the Patriarch said that, he cut the call, allowing Seth to quietly doze off into a state of half-slumber and half-vigilance.

Original Heaven.
Headquarters of the House of Luthor.
A blue-haired man stood at the end of a small and ordinary-looking balcony. His face could not be seen clearly but the six ears on his head were very eye-catching.
In his hand was a transmission device that had just been turned off.
"What is it, Luthor Patriarch?" Asked a humanoid female, naked with pitch black skin and golden egyptian styled markings on her earrings and necklace.
She wrapped her black-skinned arms around the waist of the blue-haired man and took a long sniff from his neck.
Her sharp golden eyes watched the side of his face, awaiting a reaction.
The blue-haired man’s shoulders sank, "I suspect that my son may have other motives that don’t involve my benefit."
The black-skinned beautiful woman chuckled, the crystal-like ears on her head quivering.
"Should I go and kill him for you? Will that make you happy?" She asked, her voice was very seductive which enhanced the fragrance she emitted.
Hearing the question, the blue-haired man did not answer immediately.
"Hmmm..."
