Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 739: Ownerless Laws
Seth’s father continued talking with the various representatives of the feline alliance.
Now that they were all on board, he began to explain the first phase of the plan to them.
Generally, they weren’t meant to do too much besides oppress the lions long enough for the Law of Slavery to catch up and take over.
Seth’s father and his accomplices in Original Heaven were already working on suppressing the Law of Conquering and they were expected to be done sooner or later.
There was something strange though.
In the plan that Seth’s father was explaining. For them to succeed, it was required that the Primordial Lion cease to exist.
This should have already been achieved, as Ibadon had completed his work not long ago.
Seth’s father and many others in Original Heaven were aware of the reality-crushing battle between Ibadon and the lions as they had watched it through the pierced Gaps of reality.
Technically, the Primordial Lion should have died right.
Why then did all of them start to have a very bad feeling when they were talking about the All-King?
They felt a tiny wave of oppression pass through their minds and into their hearts.
This was a phenomenon unique to Singularities when talking about them as it meant they weren’t just talking about a single being, they were referring to a literal Law.
To everyone here, Kael was dead.
And there was no one available to correct them on how grave their conclusion was.
Seth’s father went on to explain that the transmission devices were given to them so that they could communicate with their fellow kinsmen from Original Heaven and understand that they all had powerful support in places they could not reach.
After a few hours, the meeting was completed and the various representatives left to go back to their various factions and report to the main leaders.
Especially the Cheetahs, Jaguars, and Panthers. The real leaders of their civilization were the Primordials, not them.
Chen sat alone outside the meeting room, receiving the fresh breeze of the newly colonized planet.
His eyes were darkened by thoughts.
He glanced at the various arkships that left through the sky. He was the only actual leader in that meeting, everyone else was an envoy.
Chen was upset.
His hunger for power was reaching new heights. He understood the difference between entities like Seth and Seth’s father.
Chen was beginning to understand just how useless he was if not that he was serving as a holder for power that Seth could use to control the tiger civilization.
The red sky unique to this planet was a signal that the evening was fast approaching. The reddish haze mixed with Chen’s white hair and athletically large body.
He turned his gaze to look at Seth who was hovering away, having a private conversation with his father.
Under the red sky, Seth looked truly imposing and extraordinary. His white eyes showed disdain for almost everything that could possibly exist.
’The immortals are the ones who truly run this universe,’ Chen thought to himself.
’Anything less than the immortal tier was completely unimportant to the grand scheme of things.
All they could do was actually act as pawns to be used by the greater powers.’
Chen lamented to himself and shook his head. He really wished for all the power in the world.
He wished that he could be the strongest, the greatest, the fastest, the most powerful creature ever.
If he could achieve immortality, not only would he get a lot of power and eternal life, but he would also be able to regrow his wings and get access to extra abilities.
After a while, Seth was done and he flew over to Chen with a calm aura.
"What is it Chen," Seth asked, noticing the frustration in Chen’s gaze.
Chen was silent for a while, unsure if he should say anything about it. After all, he didn’t really trust Seth that much.
"I am weak," He said, after some thoughts.
"Oh," Seth opened his mouth but ended up not saying anything.
He could console Chen that he wasn’t truly weak, but that would be a big lie.
Tier 7 was only powerful in the local factions that dominated the mortalverse.
There were still tiers above tier 7.
Even immortals had powers above them that they couldn’t dream of touching even if the universe were to turn over.
"Weakness is only permanent if you make it so, Chen," Seth said.
Chen frowned, "That’s very easy for you to say."
Seth raised one of his eyebrows. He leaned to the side so that he could be directly in front of Chen. He wanted to look Chen in the face as he spoke.
"What do you mean?" Seth asked.
Chen raised his head and looked directly into Seth’s glowing white eyes, "It’s easy for you to say such because you have had everything easy for you.
You’re a Primordial Cat of Freedom, and you belong to the House of Luthor.
Even if you didn’t want to, becoming powerful was the only path left for you.
I envy you, I really do."
Seth listened with a calm expression. How many times had he heard this kind of word? Chen was not the only one who had come forth with this level of honesty.
Chen had been alive for a long time and had heard a lot of things, this one didn’t surprise him. However, because it was coming from someone he considered an asset, he decided to respond a bit differently.
"It wasn’t easy, Chen. Even as a Primordial, I didn’t have it easy..." As Seth spoke, he noticed the look on Chen’s face becoming darker.
"But I acknowledge that I did have a lot of privileges that you never had access to. And for that, I don’t know what to do.
I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to see power and not be able to grasp it.
However, I can do something. We rise by lifting others up, right?"
Chen raised an eyebrow, "What?"
Seth chuckled, "Yeah, you need to understand some deeper secrets of the universe and I can tell you for free.
After all, that’s my thing."
A genuine smile appeared on Chen’s hardened face. His deep yellow eyes brightened but the dormant killing intent never left.
He was cautious.
"What is it?" Chen asked.
Seth straightened his back, "I’m sure you may have wondered how we plan on changing the law the lions are affiliated with."
Chen nodded, "Yeah, I thought every creature is affiliated with at least one law because of their First Primordial.
Except the phoenixes.
And the current Horses."
Seth nodded too to confirm, "Yes, there is no lie in that.
The First Primordial of the tigers is the reason why tigers are affiliated with the Law of Combat.
Same with us Cats and the Law of Freedom.
Same with Panthers and darkness, Jaguars and Strength, Cheetahs and speed.
And it is the same with the Lions and Conquering. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
However, nothing is ever set in stone.
Not all Laws are affiliated with any creatures and not all creatures are affiliated with any law.
When the God of Reincarnation ascended to divinity and created the Council of Reincarnation, he caused the extinction of many races.
That was one of the few ways that true genocide could be achieved.
Because of him, many Primordials and their races have lived in fear, pursuing the Singularity to avoid that same fate.
The laws they are affiliated with now serve as their prison.
What many don’t know and will never know is that there are laws that are not linked to any creature at all.
Not all laws birthed First Primordials.
The Law of Infinity.
The Law of Eternity
The Law of Slavery
The Law of Rebirth
The Law of Survival
The Law of Change
The Law of The Foreign.
The Law of Chaos.
And even the Law of Oblivion, the same power that Ibadon had.
There are about fifty laws in the universe that are not owned by any race. Free for the taking."
Seth watched as the look on Chen’s face transitioned from curiosity to confusion.
"I don’t understand," Chen said truthfully.
Seth shrugged his shoulders, "That’s a better response than most will give," He said with a mysterious smile.
"You see, Ibadon was not a Primordial.
Many wondered what exactly Ibadon was. Was he a hybrid? Was he an abomination?
Maybe he was both.
But in Original Heaven, creatures like him are what we call Variables.
Ibadon was merely a catalyst for the Law of Oblivion to express itself in the universe.
Revenge? Those who know will confirm that the Law of Oblivion was just looking for an excuse to wipe stuff out.
Ibadon’s revenge case was the perfect excuse.
Besides that, these ownerless laws are not conscious of anything. They can only gain a semblance of awareness by having Primordials or creatures like Ibadon as a medium.
Unfortunately, their powers are usually too complicated for ordinary races to fathom, which is why they never succeeded in sparking the origins of a race.
It doesn’t mean it is impossible though.
In the history of the universe, the Law of Origin was one of these laws. It was ownerless too.
But one day, one creature, just like Ibadon, managed to get its little fungi roots on the power of Origin and soon ascended to godhood, therefore becoming a Singularity of a law that was once ownerless.
You see now, the universe is filled with mysteries that you may never fully understand even with eternal life.
Chen, do you understand why I am telling you all this?"
