Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 325: Burning Flower
Leonine Heaven.
More than a month had passed since the incident of the Primordial Lion.
For a lot of the powerhouses inhabiting heaven, the pastime month was like the blink of an eye for them, not worth mentioning or keeping tabs on.
Some of them have even been slumbering for much longer than that and had no intention of leaving the confines of their lazy states.
All was fine after all. There was a looming conflict with the dragons and the threat of the upcoming Bee Civilization was still present. But aside from that, there wasn’t much that warranted everyone to panic.
The collective lion race as a whole had an uncountable number of creatures under them as vassal civilizations. Each of these vassals provided them with tributes at due times which kept their lion overlords happy.
Although some rebellions do happen once in a while, it wasn’t something that was beyond the lion’s control.
Perhaps, apart from the Primordial Lion, they had no reason to think too much. Unfortunately, even the Primordial Lion was nowhere to be found.
There was already an Anti-Primordial Coalition that was desperately searching for the whereabouts of that Primordial Lion and there were rumors that they would soon find him.
At the same time, the supporters of the Primordial Lion were also doing their best to find their Primordial Lion.
Only about thirty percent of the lions in heaven knew about the existence of the Primordial Lion and that percentage was steadily increasing.
The membership of the Anti-Primordial Coalition was increasing, and so was the Primordial Lion supporters.
For now, the Leonine Heavenly Realm was somewhat peaceful. There were skirmishes but it wasn’t that much. Those who were knowledgeable knew that this state was just the calm moment before the storm hit.
Far away from King Larvis’s continent, another much larger structure stood in the multicolored heavenly void.
A combination of seven small planets, linked together by massive green chains that ensured that they were all connected to each other.
Each of these planets was different from one another. One was filled with trees of different kinds. One had a large pyramid built into the surface, covering one side of the planet. Another was just a full gas planet, how such a small gas planet could exist was a wonder.
One of the planets was parked with thousands of magic shuttles of different kinds and many more were flying to and fro.
Each of these mini planets was unique and it was clear that they were meant for specific things.
On one of these mini planets that was about six thousand kilometers in circumference, the rocky planet that was currently barren of anything fruitful.
This planet was meant to be a sparring ground for the privileged members of the Fanged Flower Alliance, mostly the Lion Queens.
Currently, a sparring match was about to come to an end on this mini rocky planet.
Frost and flames intertwined with themselves as they clashed and tried to repel each other.
A pristine white lioness shot back from the explosion, her claws dug into the ground as she attempted to stop herself from moving.
She finally slid to a halt, her body emitted dense steam that made her look fairy-like and mystical. She straightened her pose, raised her head high, and assumed a stance of superiority.
Alora’s blue eyes focused on her sparing partner.
On the other side, after the dust had cleared, another lioness was shown. Orange-red fur, fiery red eyes, four tails. This was a fire lioness, a very powerful one.
She was the same height as Alora, slightly less than three meters tall.
Apart from the fact that she was clearly stronger than Alora, an interesting scene was also unfolding around her.
Her flames were not just burning hot on her body, they were condensed around her to form small orbs of multicolored fireballs.
These weren’t the ordinary fireballs that one would usually cast without that much technique out into it, these were actually well-refined fireballs that required a level of control that couldn’t be imagined.
One fireball the size of a baby’s fist floated and flared in front of the lioness’s face, illuminating her disdainful expression.
This fireball was a mix of blue and green flames. The fireball constantly shifted between a greenish-blue flower and a regular fireball shape.
A fusion of two different flames into one.
The fireball dropped to the ground, sinking in like a planted seed. Greenish-blue flames spread from beneath the ground like fungi and algae, racing toward Alora.
Within an instant, this strange flame that burned with coldness and vitality would spread to cover every one of Alora’s escape routes before consuming her.
"I surrender," Alora spat out coldly as a wall of white ice formed in front of her. A cloud of steam rose into the void as the flames clashed with her ice.
Luckily, the flames were retracted in time; if not they would have burned through the ice defense and harmed Alora badly.
"You are tenacious Alora, or should I say unnecessarily proud. You should have given up earlier instead of going through all this..." The fiery lioness said with excitement shining in her eyes.
Now that the spar was over, she seemed to have completely changed character, going from hyper-focused to erratic.
Alora did not say anything, surrendering had taken up a lot of mental strength from her. But if she had not conceded, she might have been disgracefully beaten to a pulp.
The whole point of the spar was to hone her fighting skills and adapt to new forms of combat.
She was subconsciously taking it too seriously and cared too much about her pride as a powerful lioness.
Even as she accepted defeat, she didn’t lower her gaze or her head. She stared straight into the eyes of the approaching fiery lioness without flinching. Openly surrendering had already cost her some serious mental fatigue.
"I don’t even understand why you’re so prideful, it’s not like anyone is here to watch us fight," The fiery lioness said.
"I finally understand the Octa-breach Ice Barrier method," Alora said, completely ignoring what her alleged new ’friend’ was saying. Alora wasn’t interested in keeping any friends, not after Chloe.
Some might see her as a friend but she knew within her that she couldn’t see anyone as a friend.
"Oh, glad I could point you in the right direction, although I doubt it would be of much help. You’re the youngest and weakest Lion Queen I have ever seen, it would take more than a better method to catch up," The fiery lioness said as she reached Alora’s side and sat down.
The two transformed into their humanoid forms. Alora became a beautiful white-skinned lady with white hair and bright blue eyes that looked like gems. She dons her usual light blue dress that has a bit of fur lining the edges.
The fiery lioness on the other hand became a brown-skinned slim lady with dreadlocks and fierce red eyes. She wore a yellow crop top with a short yellow skirt, both of which had intricate red designs.
"Why are you so...upset?" The fiery-eyed lady asked, sitting cross-legged on the rough rocky ground.
"Upset?" Alora looked at the woman, wondering why she would ask that.
"Yeah, ever since you joined us, you’ve been acting so upset. I know it’s normal to have high self-esteem and even show a little bit of narcissism, but shouldn’t there be a limit?
You act like everyone is out to hold you down. You don’t need to hide it, some of us are ten times your age and have seen many things like this," The fiery woman said.
Alora thought about the woman’s words before finally responding, "No, I’m not upset. It’s just that, the existence of the Primordial Lion and all..." She lowered her voice, "There’s a lot of pressure,"
She sounded convincing enough.
"Was it really that bad? Perhaps we made the right decision to support him," The woman said as a golden screen coincidentally appeared in front of her face at this time.
It was the update for the Lionhood Bar.
"Yes, he’s strong, but we definitely need to be stronger if we want to support him," Alora said, partly lying. Indeed, Kael had put pressure on her but she didn’t want to help Kael if she could.
She was trying to escape the contract agreement between the two of them and the only way she could think of doing so was by getting stronger than him.
Yet, the chime of the lion system announcement seems to crush her hopes. Every advancement she saw on the lion system was a reminder that Kael himself was not staying idle, he was doing everything to get stronger.
He had to, the pressure on him was greater than the pressure on her. His future survival depended heavily on it.
Alora girl what she wanted, power in the form of the heavenly beacon. When she made that agreement, she had been thinking of ways to work around it.
The casual discussion between the two lionesses was brought to a halt as both of them received a worrying telepathic message.
"My father is here," Alora said with a deep scowl on her face.
