Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 226: Origin

The massive doors of the hangar slid away, parting to the sides. Their movement caused the interior of the hangar to be connected to the outside world.

After many years, fresh air waltzed into the hangar, creeping on the shuttles and the metal surfaces of the walls and floors.

*HUMM!*

The thrusters and hover engines of the Iron Blood Shuttle hummed with power that had been stored for a long time.

The red and black vessel rose slowly, its massive bulk causing air currents to form around it as a weak gravity field formed on its surface.

The front of the magic shuttle was aimed at the widening entrance of the hangar. After the colossal doors were fully opened enough to Kael's satisfaction, the Iron Blood Shuttle moved.

The massive vessel groaned slightly, releasing pulsing hums as it pressed forward.

From the outside, one would see two massive gates opening up in front of the third level of the pyramid. And out of this gate came a one-kilometer-long and five-hundred-meter-wide magic shuttle.

Most would wonder how a one-kilometer-long magic shuttle could fit into a pyramid with two kilometers of diameter.

Within the command bridge of the magic shuttle.

Kael sat comfortably on a comfy cushion furniture, he had one of his knees raised with his sandaled feet planted firmly on the body of the cushion, and the other leg was sprawled forward and stretched as he leaned back into the rising section of the cushion.

'Lions really seem to love pillows and cushions,' Kael thought casually. In his hand was the info orb that he was still studying.

He played with the info orb mindlessly, thinking about the information within it.

'This magic shuttle should have enough Origin Essence to last us for a while, provided we don't engage in any energy-draining battle,'

Kael felt how much power was contained within the magic shuttle and he had to admit that Xu Ying's confidence back then was very valid.

It was practically impossible for a tier 4 lion to do serious damage to the exterior of a standard magic shuttle that had been reinforced by multiple tempered steel and defensive runes.

And that was just the exterior, magic defense systems were still in place. Another thing was the speed of the magic shuttle, this particular magic was capable of moving very fast despite its large size.

These magic shuttles were made in such a way that they could be customized to no end. There were no set measurements for scaling the power of different magic shuttles, modification was the name of the game.

Just like the Iron Blood Shuttle, Chloe said it was heavily modified and could be potentially better than Xu Ying's magic shuttle.

Kael was also learning to reconsider the things he felt were large. From how he saw it, most lions according to Chloe didn't see magic shuttles as large objects, they were even the standard vehicles.

And all this magical technological wonder was thanks to having Origin Essence as an energy source.

"Look at all these bodies, so many resources…" Chloe lamented at this time, catching Kael's attention.

Chloe was also in the command bridge area. Although Kael was the one mentally piloting the magic shuttle, Chloe busied herself with the holographic screens projecting from the walls and control panels of the bridge.

These screens showed the scenery outside the magic shuttle as well as a three-dimensional model of the magic shuttle.

Currently, one of the screens was showing the image of the land below, that land that surrounded the Iron Blood Pyramid.

The screen showed hundreds of burnt bodies lying around in different positions. It was like hell had descended on this place and left a devastating mark on the world.

Burnt squids, burnt octopuses, burnt sharks, burnt birds, burnt serpents, and many more. The air reeked of boiled or roasted flesh.

Kael smiled at Chloe's exclamation, he would feel better if he could do that multiple times. After activating those cannons and wiping out most of the surrounding creatures, the Iron Blood Pyramid had warned him of the diminishing Origin Essence reserves.

Kael estimated that he would only be able to use the full power of the cannons two more times before the whole pyramid ran out of energy.

Before that, he needed to replenish the energy reserves. Unfortunately, although the Iron Blood Pyramid had an engine room, it didn't have a generator or a way to produce its own energy.

This was one of the reasons Kael was studying about Origin Essence from the info orbs as fast as possible. He couldn't let the Iron Blood Pyramid become useless now that he was the owner.

Thankfully, the info orbs carried useful information on how to extract Origin Essence.

Kael found out that Origin Essence was basically the building block of everything, that was how it was stated in the info orb.

So, therefore, by this logic, Origin Essence could be extracted from everything and everything could potentially be converted into Origin Essence.

The method to do this was extremely taxing and could even lead to death, the powder essence Natalia had given him some time ago was just a lower version of the real thing.

To produce Origin Essence, he would need a very fantastic generator, an object that wouldn't be so easy to create.

Kael was tempted to activate his heavenly beacon so that he could go to heaven and see how the magic civilizations were generating their Origin Essence.

But if he did that, the chances of him being able to come back to planet Eridoria in the near future would be close to none. Not to mention, the lion kings wouldn't immediately track him down the moment they were aware of his presence.

There were so many questions left unanswered at this point, was there an Origin Essence Generator on this planet? What did it look like when it was built? Why was it not mentioned in the command protocols he was given by the pyramid? How did Aziza manage to power his pyramid? How does the whole lion civilization power their technologies?

Kael decided to wait until he was with N'bayé before he continued researching Origin Essence.

He was both excited and stumped, the feeling of gaining new knowledge that he had never had before was thrilling, this was also how N'bayé felt.

This was both simple and hard for Kael to wrap his head around, he wondered how Conquering Essence was similar to this Origin Essence.

Unfortunately, there were no info orbs with Conquering Essence as a topic in the whole library. Perhaps, Aziza forgot that the new Primordial Lion would not know everything from the start.

Either way, Kael was satisfied, the info orb library was vast but it surely didn't contain all the knowledge he wanted.

Chloe continued glancing at the screen, scanning the desolate and scorched land beneath the hovering shuttle.

All these bodies were burnt in one way or the other, but most of them were still edible.

Chloe's eyes widened as she realized that all these bodies could be used to build a small army of creatures comparable to tier 3 lions.

She even noticed the burned bodies of those squid and octopus leaders, each of whom was comparable to tier 4 wolves or lions when they were alive.

Kael sensed the shock expressed on Chloe's surface thoughts and simply smiled.

Indeed, he had plans for all the bodies here.

However, Chloe noticed that among the more than one thousand bodies visible on the screen, the bodies of water lions were absent.

Chloe remembered that there had been a few water lions who had been stopped from getting near the pyramid.

"They too have uses," Kael said. Chloe frowned, that Kael could easily read her mind made her feel vulnerable and naked.

Being reminded of their weakness was not something most lions liked, and Kael naturally sensed this and took note of it.

It didn't stop him from reading her surface thoughts though, Chloe didn't have the power to dictate how he used his abilities. In fact, he wanted to motivate her to get stronger.

He didn't want a situation in the future where he would be forced to discard her because of her weakness and inability to keep up with his plans.

The Iron Blood Shuttle cruised over the land of the pocket dimension, getting farther away from the Iron Blood Pyramid and the mounds of burnt corpses surrounding it.

The vessel moved fast, and eventually, they arrived at a familiar place, the area where Kael had fought Zed and Zod.

The aftermath of their battle remained visible. The long furrows, the deep foot marks, the craters, they were still there.

Zod's headless body still lay on the ground, it had long transformed into the true form of a cheetah, so now it was just a headless cheetah body.

"You know," Chloe said, "This is the reason why lions never accept other Felines as subordinates or vassals."
