Chapter 65: 65. Mother Of Dragons.

It’s been a week since the villagers survived the biggest monster tide they had ever encountered before.

Right now, the villagers were still rebuilding the village.

A new set of barricades had been built and the buildings that had lost their walls got repaired too.

A few graves were built for the number of people they lost due to the monster tide and the wyvern attack.

But while the villagers worked on repairing the village, Ray took his time to rest and train when necessary.

Since he had leveled up to Level 15, Ray had acquired two new innate skills, but these innate skills were skills he was already familiar with.

They were the same skills he had acquired during his first life when he had reached this particular level, so there was no surprise to him acquiring the same set of skills.

However, for the past three days now, Ray had been trying to fully comprehend what it meant to be a Void Walker.

Yes, in his first life, he didn’t really know what it meant to be a Void Walker and the full extent of his capabilities, but a part of him had been curious about how he could use his abilities in a certain way and that’s why he’d been training for hours to see if his theory could be proven right or not.

Every single day, Ray would practice for hours.

He would give himself breaks to feed his two wyvern eggs but whenever he wasn’t doing this, Ray would focus his attention on sparring with Mira.

Mira trained with him most mornings and she was slowly getting used to her new skills, the more she trained with him every single day.

As for the eggs, they were growing bigger inches by inches everyday.

Emma would always come to check out how the eggs were doing, and she too began to take notice of the changes happening to the eggs.

On one evening, Emma came to see the eggs glowing as Ray transferred his mana and wyvern energy into them.

"Is this normal?" She asked with a concerned look on her face.

"Well, as far as I know about eggs. I believe this should be normal for them."

"Do they know we’re here?"

"I think so."

"How do you know?"

"Because last night , right after I entered the room, the eggs began to glow, almost as though the wyverns had sensed my presence."

"Woah, that’s so cool."

"I know right?"

"So what happened next?".

"I fed them as usual and the two eggs glowed for a bit before dimming down. I think it was because they had eaten more than enough, so they fell asleep."

"Big brother is really so cool. You keep doing cool things very single day."

"Don’t worry little chipmunk. One day, you’re going to do something even more cooler than me."

"You really think so?"

"I know it."

"I can’t wait to awaken my powers too. I wanna awaken a really cool class like wyvern tamer or wyvern rider."

"I thought you always wanted something cool like dragon Slayer or dragon warrior."

"I changed my mind. I would like to have an army of wyverns or dragons, so that everybody will see me and call me ’The Mother Of Dragons ’."

Ray smiled and ruffled her hair a bit.

"Alright, mother of dragons. It’s time for you to head to bed."

"Okay. Goodnight big brother. Goodnight Sugar!! Goodnight Peanut butter!!"

Ray rolled his eyes with a smile as he watched his sister waved goodbye to the two eggs.

From what she had just said now, Ray could see that Emma had yet to decide on a name to give a wyvern.

There was still time to settle on a name later, so Ray didn’t bother to ponder about it for long.

Instead, he joined Mira on the bed, who by the way had fallen asleep already, after spending hours sparring with Ray today.

The next day, the emergency bell rang aloud for everyone in the village to hear.

Many rushed out of their houses in fear and worry that yet another monster tide was on its way.

However, that wasn’t the reason why the bell had been rung.

Ray also heard the bell from the yard he’d been practicing his new skills.

But seeing as how everyone had gathered out of their houses to find out why the bell had been rung, Ray decided to do the same as well, so he stepped out of the house to see a priestess coming through the Northern pathway of the village with three armed guards behind her.

Her name was Sister Clara and she was dressed in the common church’s apparel.

Every one of them rode on a horse, with the priestess leading her small little group.

She was in her mid-thirties and everyone could see her fair skin and beautiful features.

Her light blue hair was long and it reached her mid-back with a few loose strands of hair framing her face.

She wasn’t really tall and neither was she short, but she had the kind of baby-like face that would make most men feel like doing anything for her even if she asked the impossible from them.

Anyways, Ray watched as she descended from her horse and the first thing most villagers noticed were the white robes she was wearing.

Her silk cloth had golden colored design embroidered on its collar, sleeves and hem, causing many to wonder just how much such clothing had to be worth.

Now, Helen and Emma had stepped out of the house as well, just like every other folks, and they watched as Clara stepped forward to address the crowds but the first person to attend to her was Elaine.

Elaine met Clara at the square’s center and the two women regarded each other for a moment.

"Elder Elaine, I bring greetings from the Holy Church and from Hero Aldric himself." Clara said as she bowed respectfully to the village chief.

Elaine acknowledged her greeting and welcomed her as well. "Sister Clara, Thornsville welcomes you. Please, come with me and let’s have some tea as we discuss why you’re here."
