Regression - Second Chance At Life-Chapter 282: You Are In Trouble

Julia watches as Adam skips the video to the part where she enters his room.

Seeing herself in the video, Julia finally realizes what’s going on here.

The video continues to play, in which Julia is trying to find something in Adam’s room.

She starts with his desk, moves on to his bed, then his wardrobe. When she doesn’t find what she is looking for, she gets frustrated and starts throwing things around, making a mess out of Adam’s room.

Julia then sees herself finding Adam’s hidden safe and trying to open it, but ultimately fails.

Then she cleans up Adam’s room and leaves as if nothing happened.

With Julia exiting the room, Adam pauses the video and looks at her.

"Care you explain yourself?" Adam turns to look at Julia with a big smug grin on his face.

Julia’s heart is racing rapidly as she tries to come up with an excuse.

’Calm down, Julia, don’t let this overwhelm you. Think. Think,’ Julia tries to calm herself down before she speaks, as she doesn’t want to say something that would make things worse for her.

Seeing that smug look on Adam’s face really pisses her off, but she can’t give in to her anger and give Adam one thing that he is looking for, an overreaction from her.

"What about it? I don’t see anything that I did wrong," Julia says, trying to devalue what Adam has in his possession.

Adam chuckles in return. He doesn’t retort to her because he knows what he has and how he can use it against her. Her words don’t mean shit right now.

He is just messing with her for entertainment.

"What were you looking for?" Adam asks, not breaking his gaze away from her.

Feeling his calculating gaze on her makes Julia feel nervous, as she doesn’t know what’s going on inside that evil mind of his.

"Nothing! I was just cleaning your room," Julia says. So what if he has this video? What is he going to do with it anyway if she basically rejects all his accusations? It’s not like she actually stole anything from what the video shows.

"Come on, you really think denying what we both saw is going to help you get out of this situation? We both saw you fiddling with my locker, so tell me what you were trying to find?" Adam asks again.

"I am not going to tolerate you accusing me of things I didn’t do. If this is all you have, then I am leaving!" Julia says, trying to get out of the situation.

After all, she knows not to give Adam more of her time; the more she does that, the more Adam tries to find ways to fuck with her.

She turns her back and tries to leave.

"What you just got caught doing is Attempted Grand Larceny. Do you know what the minimum punishment for it under the state’s law is?" Adam asks.

Julia stops as she hears his words. She slowly turns around to face him with a frown on her face.

"Minimum ten years," Adam says, grinning.

"Now, wouldn’t that be a sight to behold? You, spending the prime of your life in a prison, surrounded by actual criminals who wouldn’t mind forcing you on themselves. I don’t think you are built for a life like that," Adam says.

Julia feels a shiver run down her spine as she hears Adam’s words. She has heard how some prisoners are victims of sexual assault, especially if they are good-looking. It doesn’t matter if it’s a female-only prison facility, r*pes still happen, and women like Julia are prime candidates for such crimes.

"Bullshit!" She says, finally snapping.

"How can my searching your room be enough for me to be charged with attempted grand larceny?" Julia asks, thinking Adam’s bluffing her.

"Oh, because both you and I know what you were trying to look for in my room," Adam says with a slow controled tone, putting Julia on edge.

"You heard me and Jack talk about those documents. You saw me take those documents to my room. And I should tell you, those documents are very expensive," Adam says, grinning.

"I didn’t even try to steal anything. Why would I steal something from you, and even if I wanted to, why would I steal anything I do not know the value of?" Julia says.

"Oh, but you do," Adam says.

"I talked to Jack. He told me about the little talk you had with him about those documents, and he did tell you about my investments.

After that, you suddenly go sniffing around my room, looking for them. It doesn’t look good. You are in trouble, Julia," Adam says, grinning.

"That doesn’t mean I would be charged with Grand Larceny! You are bluffing," Julia says.

"Ten million dollars," Adam replies.

Julia’s eyes widen a little hearing those numbers.

"That’s what those documents are worth," Adam says, which forces Julia to exhale all the air inside her and feel choked by it.

"You tried to steal ten million dollars from me. Like I said, it’s attempted grand larceny, and I think you are smart enough to realize that the higher the money, the stronger the charge," Adam says, his grin getting wider.

Horror flashes in Julia’s eyes as she realizes that she fucked up big.

She only wanted to know what those documents were out of curiosity; she didn’t think that her curiosity would lead her down such a dangerous path.

She walked herself right into Adam’s hands. He didn’t have to do anything.

’Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!’ She cursed herself inside her head, but she hasn’t given up yet.

"I didn’t know," She says.

"Doesn’t matter. You knew enough, and you still tried to look for them," Adam says.

"I wasn’t gonna steal it. I just wanted to see what they were about," Julia says.

"And how are you going to prove that, when in the video it clearly shows you trying to forcefully open my safe," Adam says.

Julia feels cornered. Her heart is racing faster than ever as fear starts to creep up.

She looks into Adam’s eyes, those are the eyes of a hunter who knows he has successfully trapped his prey.

Julia knows she is fucked.

"You are really going to call authorities over this?" She asks.

"Why not? You aren’t related to me by blood. You are my stepmother who is trying to steal me and my father’s fortune. I think I have a very solid case to report to the police and have you locked away," Adam says. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

His words hit her like a whip. How can she overcome this? She has nothing.

She is caught red-handed. Even if she denies his claims, how is she going to explain her actions from the video? It clearly shows her trying to steal something even though she had no intention to.

With that video and Adam’s testimony, the likelihood of people believing Adam is more than her.

On top of that, she is a young, beautiful woman who married a man who is much older than her for money. If this goes to court, people will immediately assume that she is a gold digger.

If she fights, she knows things are going to get a lot worse for her.

She got reckless and did something stupid, and now Adam has her in the palm of his hand.

"Well, since you have already admitted to trying to steal from me, better call the police," Adam says, taking out his phone.

"When did I admit to that?" Julia asks out loud.

"Well, it’s my word against yours, and also the video," Adam says, grinning. The video in hand will give him the edge. He knows it, Julia knows it.

Julia feels her hands and legs run cold as his words hold. Adam has evidence; she just has her word.

As she is trying to process what to do, she sees him open the phone dial app and press the three-digit number that will contact the police.

She immediately takes action. She rushes up to Adam and snatches his phone away from his hand.

Adam, of course, saw her coming. He could have stopped her, but he didn’t because he really didn’t want to get the authorities involved, because it would ruin his plan to conquer Julia.

He just needed her to be scared.

"Whoa there, now that’s assault. You really want to spend the rest of your life in prison, don’t you?" Adam says, smugly.

"Shut up!" Julia says and tosses his phone on his bed.

Adam watches her, wondering what she is planning to do to get out of this situation, when he suddenly sees her slowly getting down on her knees right before him.

He is taken by surprise as he didn’t expect this from her.

Julia gets down on her knees with a complicated look on her face.

She looks up at Adam, frustrated, and then places her hands on his thighs.

"What are you doing?" Adam asks.

"Isn’t this what you always wanted?" Julia answers.

"Oh, and what’s this?" Adam asks, starting to he a little excited because this has always been what he has desired.

"To see me grovel before you, looking weak and desperate as I sexually pleasure you," Julia says.

Hearing those words come out of her mouth instantly arouses Adam, as she couldn’t be any more correct.

This is what he always wanted. For her to come to him, beg for his cock.
