Kill her!

Kill Freyah Lima!

Kill her!

She will destroy the world!!!

Paula’s eyes snapped open, she was sweating and her breath was ragged.

Her head throb repeatedly, body shaking, even tho she just wake up, She feel exhausted.

Her blurry vision were fixed on the ceiling as various memories flickered in her mind.

"Kill Freyah Lima!" Paula felt the intense power surge around her. Dark smoke swirled and a moment later, she was enveloped in a huge, dark, cocoon-like cloud that blotted out all sight. Panic surged within her. Her instinct screamed that she didn’t want this, With fear Paula curled up into a fetal position, she whispered quivering pleas for help, for someone, her soft pleas echoing in the suffocating darkness.

When Paula’s hope of getting out of this mess slowly vanishing, someone call for her but it’s not enough, she was already too weak to fight against the force that was pulling her to succumb to the darkness, She was scared and the only thing she can do was hugged herself tightly curled up into a ball when another call of hope ring to her ears.

"Meow..."

It was soft in her ear and that was all it took as tears dropped from Paula’s eyes and it was like something shattered, something break, And all Paula could remember was a dazzling light flashed defeating the darkness that almost blinded her and she went unconscious.

Paula sat up, her head was throbbing a little, inaudible whispers lingers inside her head, she wipes the sweat that cover her face and as soon as her breathing calmed down, her gazes roamed and wander the room she is currently in.

It was unfamiliar to her but did not sense any danger. The soft bed that had held her body seems enough for her to know that she is somehow in a safe place but then again before she can fully process everything a defeaning sound of ringing echoed to her ear that her hands involuntarily cover her ear in an instinct, as the ringing continue along with another flashes of memories from the incident this cause her to panic.

All she can remember was the voice had forced her to kill Freyah Lima.

"No.. I didn’t want that"

"No.. I’m not killing anyone..."

She whispered, trembling. Her mind was confused; she couldn’t think straight. Jumbled memories flooded her mind as she suffered the aftermath of the voices that had once plagued her thoughts.

Paula staggered as she force herself to stand, out of fear of something she can’t even remember, her feet involuntarily run to the door, hands clutched desperately to the knob as she started to pull it with force, it’s locked. Paula’s panicking led her to pull the door into destruction and as soon as she got herself freed she started running.

Paula stopped, disoriented, and looked around. Her breathing was heavy and labored. Barefoot and with her hair completely disheveled, she studied the place and people around her frantically. The villagers noticed her and, without hesitation or reluctance, rushed to her aid, worriedly trying to calm her down.

"Iha, calm down!"

"It’s okay!"

"You’re safe here!"

"you’re fine!"

"calm her down!"

"Call the others! Tell them she’s awake!"

"Calm down Iha! You’re safe now!"

The villagers tried their best to calm Paula down but this caused Paula’s fear to intensify. She couldn’t hear their words as she was too blind by fear.

The more they tried to approach her the more she thought that they were going to harm her. She hugged herself and knelt down to the ground, her defense mechanism then she started screaming in distress.

"Ahhh!"

"No! No!! Please!!!"

The past incidents and the whispers in her head, though now gone, had left a lasting impact on her mentality making it hard for Paula to think clearly.

Inside the main room, it has been hours. Uncle Thomas, Florence and Freyah continued their conversation. The tense atmosphere was palpable.

They’re heavily discussing about their plans and routes to take after that moments of silence lingers.

Florence eyes fix to Freyah, trying to read what’s in her mind and her real reasons for this journey. ’whatever it is, Lady Lima always had reasons and I guess I still have to wait for the time to tell me what are those...’

"I told you before but you never listen to me..." Uncle Thomas sighs a little bit disappointed about Freyah’s stubborn attitude of always putting herself at risk.

Freyah chuckles. Tapping her fingers on the table and smiles looking up to Uncle Thomas.

"Uncle Thomas the decision was already made, everyone already agreed and you already gave permission too, so..." She shrugged and shook her head, amused at her Uncle Thomas insistence for her to not go.

Freyah knows how he was just really worried.

"And don’t worry too much Uncle Thomas, you already saw how I expert I was in firing a sniper, remember?" She teased just to ease Uncle Thomas worries, Thomas frown slightly, remembering how he had praised her when she was sniping the Tiktik expertly.

"Tch" Uncle Thomas crossed arms.

Florence chuckles too along with Freyah while Uncle Thomas sighs heavily this time switching between Florence and Freyah who was clearly enjoying this.

"Both of you really know how to give me headaches" He shook his head and didn’t continue calling them ’brats’ and just flash a forced smile giving in to their playful attitudes but still not on their side.

"Sir Thomas you shouldn’t worry at all, Lady Lima is even capable of carrying me anywhere" He laughed, Playfully playing along with Freyah’s teasing so Thomas will be put at ease. Freyah laugh even more at Florence comment.

"Yes, yes your highness! You’re right!"

Uncle Thomas gave them another heavy sighs which make the two chuckles like little children knowing he can’t really forced them to stay.

But then,

There conversation was interrupted as the door bursts open, by one of the villagers, who was heavily panting, taking a few moment to inhale—exhale.

Freyah, Florence and Uncle Thomas was alerted and stands up, what’s happening? They all think.

"The girl...she’s awake!"

With any questions, Florence and Freyah already knew who is that girl.

With that,

Florence, Uncle Thomas and Freyah was fast to follow the man who run back to where the villager already crowded Paula to try to calm her down.

"DON’T COME NEAR ME!"

"DONT HURT ME!"

"IT WASN’T ME!"

"NO! NO! PLEASE"

Her screaming was echoing through the crowd. Paula was lost at the moment, a girl clearly traumatized.

As soon as Freyah reached the place, Florence and Uncle Thomas halted, the villagers gave them space to approach Paula.

"she was just screaming and crying like that"

"She must’ve been so shock"

"We saw her running and we tried to calm her down"

The villagers spoke while Freyah examined Paula and then turn back to Florence, Florence sighs knowing this would happened after all being posses by a demon can lead to someone’s decrease of mental health.

"she’s suffering the consequences"

Florence whispered,

Defying the laws of nature—attempting to be something one shouldn’t meant a certain punishment.

Even if it was someone’s doing, The person who was used will suffer the consequences as she was the one who tried to turned to something she shouldn’t be even if she wanted it or not and because Paula’s case wasn’t successful she will suffer days of mental crisis or worse forever.

"GGGGGAAAHHHHHHH!!"

Paula scream from the top of her lungs her hands was scratching to her head and face deeply, even grabbing her hair as if she was irritated of herself. Her own distressed was visible as the villagers watched with worry, fear and panic.

"Is there any solution?" Freyah asked as she looked to Florence and with just eye contact they switched conversation, Freyah smirk and stretch her arms.

"Is that so?"

She walked towards Paula who seems to senses her and fearfully cowers and scream at her and without any hesitation Freyah raises her hand that made the everyone gasped—except Florence.

Her hand went down with a precise hit to Paula’s nape,

Everyone was silence, the screaming vanished. Paula’s body limped and Freyah catches her with ease.

Freyah then lift Paula and carry her in a bridal style, everyone were all frozen still shock but eventually breathe in relief and go back to their businesses.

Freyah carried Paula while Florence followed, Uncle Thomas went in different ways from them heading to his men to check on everything.

Florence chuckles, amused whenever Freyah do this thing, it makes him remember how she met her back then, An easy way to deal with anyone—make them sleep.

"Lady Lima, you know that this is temporary" He chuckled as he followed behind Freyah, Even though Florence had many questions to asked Paula, He can never asked her things for now that she’s not stable yet. Hopefully Paula can soon recover.

"Then I just have to do it again" Freyah smiles back, her eyes gazes down on the child, almost with pity, She can’t still believe that someone would use a child to kill her and now she’s even suffering the consequences.

Pathetic..." Whoever it is.
