Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Can’t Hold Back Any Longer

"Help me?" Lily Sinclair quickly forced herself to calm down, and then asked cautiously, "Who are you?"

"I’m one of Candace Ford’s people." The waiter replied again, then looked at the two glasses of red wine on his tray, "See these? The one on the left has something extra. Ms. Ford said, as long as you make Leon Grant drink it, you can have everything you want..."

"How does she know what I’m doing?!" Lily Sinclair was stunned.

She came to this ball, which Candace knew.

But her decision to swap identities with her cousin was made on a whim. She didn’t inform Candace; then how did Candace find out?

"Every word and action of yours, Ms. Ford knows thoroughly. Besides, VIP Room 1308 on the 13th floor has been prepared for you, please go ahead." The waiter spoke, gesturing with the tray in his hand, signaling Lily Sinclair to hasten.

After all, it wouldn’t do if a waiter spoke so much with a noble lady in the ballroom and was seen by others, right?

Lily Sinclair naturally understood this as well and, without time to think further, hurriedly picked up the two glasses of red wine with trembling hands.

The waiter, seeing this, gave her a mysterious smile before turning and disappearing into the crowd.

Lily Sinclair didn’t know what "something extra" meant; she only heard the last part about getting everything she wanted...

What she wanted was nothing more than Leon Grant.

Taking a deep breath, she carried the wine glasses over to Leon Grant.

Just then, the people talking with him dispersed, and as Leon Grant turned, he saw the woman behind him holding two glasses.

Lily Sinclair handed over the glass on the left.

Leon Grant raised his eyebrows slightly, "Your throat isn’t better yet, can you drink?"

Lily Sinclair didn’t answer, only raised the glass toward him. Seeing that he didn’t move, she straightforwardly clinked glasses with him.

"Clink!" A crisp sound.

Leon Grant laughed at her action, "Looks like you really want to drink."

With that, he brought the glass to his lips and took a light sip.

The taste wasn’t strange, nor was the wine bad—just nothing extraordinary.

Seeing this, Lily Sinclair slightly relaxed and took a sip herself.

After all, she used the excuse of an uncomfortable throat, so if she drank too much at once, wouldn’t that contradict herself?

Both finished their drinks, and Lily Sinclair then took Leon Grant’s hand and led him out of the dance floor.

Although she didn’t know why the waiter had prepared a room for her, since it was ready, it must be useful, right?

Leon Grant didn’t expect her sudden initiative and was momentarily flustered, "Raine, you..."

Meanwhile, Anton Kincaid, who was chatting with his dance partner, saw them leaving and was astonished!

"No way? Progressing so fast? The ball’s only halfway through, and they couldn’t wait?"

"Couldn’t wait for what?" the female partner asked, leaning over.

"Ah, just the usual boy-girl stuff!" Anton Kincaid shrugged as if he had seen through everything.

Outside the ballroom,

Noticing how quickly the woman ahead was walking, Leon Grant hurriedly grabbed her, "Raine, you’re pregnant, why are you walking so fast? Is something wrong?"

"..." Lily Sinclair turned to look at him, her expression a bit troubled.

Unable to speak, how was she supposed to explain to him?

While she was racking her brains, the man in front of her suddenly swayed.

Leon Grant inexplicably felt a bout of dizziness!

He quickly reached out to support himself against the wall, barely managing to stand still.

Lily Sinclair noticed his strangeness and rushed forward to support him, wanting to ask what was wrong, but all she could do was bite her lips shut, not allowing herself to make a sound.

Feeling someone supporting him, Leon Grant shook his head, trying to clear it, "Raine, my head’s a bit dizzy, you probably can’t hold me, hurry and call someone..."

Lily Sinclair was frightened by his condition.

He was fine just now, how did he suddenly become dizzy?

He couldn’t even stand steadily!

Frantically glancing around, Lily Sinclair was about to find someone for help when the waiter who had brought the wine suddenly appeared again. Seeing the scene, he wasn’t surprised in the least. Skilfully pulling Leon Grant along, he said, "Take him upstairs." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Lily Sinclair didn’t know what was happening but had no choice but to comply.

At this time, everyone’s attention was on the ball with the corridor quite silent.

Soon, with the waiter’s help, Lily Sinclair got Leon Grant to the 13th floor.

When Leon Grant was thrown onto the bed, the waiter dusted his clothes, cursing, "He’s damn heavy!"

Finally daring to speak, Lily Sinclair asked, "What’s going on? Is there a problem with the wine you gave me?"

"Just realizing that?" The waiter was quite surprised at the woman in front of him.

Pretty on the outside, but didn’t think she’d be this naive?

Didn’t he already say the wine was spiked?

"What...what are you planning to do to him?!" Lily Sinclair now became nervous, stepping forward to shield Leon Grant.

The waiter chuckled at her action, "What can I do to him? It’s more about what you’re going to do to him, isn’t it?"

"Me?" Lily Sinclair still didn’t understand, intending to ask, when the waiter tapped his forehead and wickedly said, "Oh right, I forgot to mention earlier, Ms. Ford gave quite a bit of the drug, afraid of waste, so I also added it to your drink."

"What?!" Lily Sinclair was shocked, and before she could start questioning, her head also spun, and her vision began to blur.

She collapsed onto the bed, shaking her head vigorously, only to find chaos in her sight.

Her whole body felt limp, and she couldn’t focus her thoughts.

"You, you..." She tried to speak, but the words came out intermittently, unable to form a complete sentence.

The waiter clapped his hands, glanced at the now frowning from dizziness Leon Grant on the bed, and chuckled, "Enjoy, this is reserved for the rich ladies!"

With that, he left.

As he left, he thoughtfully closed the door for the two of them.

After all, if they were interrupted while enjoying themselves later, that wouldn’t be good.

Lily Sinclair didn’t know what would happen next; all she saw in her muddled state was a departing figure, followed by the sound of the lock clicking shut.

Trying hard to reach for her phone, she heard the man on the bed start to mumble.

"Hot...so hot..."

Lily Sinclair thought he was in a bad state, rushing over to check on him, "Leon Grant? Are you okay?"

At this point, concerns about identity were forgotten, using her last bit of rationality to feel his forehead.

Scorching hot!
