Candace Ford anticipated that she would have such an attitude toward her from the very start.

She quickly spoke again to stop her, "What’s the rush? Isn’t someone as outstanding as Leon Grant worth waiting a few more minutes for?"
Lily paused and glared back at her, "What exactly do you want to say?"
"Don’t you like Leon Grant? I can help you." Candace repeated what she had said in their chat last night, and seeing Lily’s incredulous look, she added, "You’ve seen what I’m capable of, even Jonas Hawthorne is mine now, what man could I not get?"

Lily snorted coldly, "Those are just petty tactics!"
