Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Eight-Armed Tianluo, The Arrogance of His Station (Part 1)

The Great Bao Lian Temple was the Dao Field of a veteran Saint Expert. ’I have no idea why he went there.’

’And where is that Great Vow Master from Nanyang?’

Zhao Ping couldn’t help but pinch the bridge of his nose. He seriously considered trying to get a transfer. He felt that with someone like Yi Beidou now active in the country, his position would probably take ten years off his life.

This incident had happened too suddenly, and many details were still unclear. But the most pressing matter was to ensure Yi Beidou didn’t get into a direct conflict with the Siamese military and could leave Siam safely.

"Notify all departments immediately. We need to open negotiations with the Siamese side as quickly as possible."

Zhao Ping said, taking a deep breath.

「The rear courtyard of the Great Bao Lian Temple.」

THUMP THUMP THUMP!!

A series of thudding footsteps echoed as fully armed Siamese soldiers stormed into the rear courtyard.

Siam’s swift reaction was not without reason.

The Great Bao Lian Temple’s influence was widespread and deeply entrenched throughout Nanyang. It did not take orders from the Siamese Royal Family and merely maintained a cooperative relationship with Siam. Therefore, the Royal Family naturally had a contingency plan.

They had deployed a significant number of troops in the area surrounding the Great Bao Lian Temple. If needed, they could respond and enter a state of combat readiness within minutes.

From inside the tea room, the various local elites could clearly see the soldiers surrounding the main hall from a distance. They didn’t just have guns; some soldiers were carrying mortars, which they were now rapidly setting up on the ground. It seemed that at the slightest provocation, they would raze the entire hall to the ground.

Helicopters whirred in the sky, machine guns poking out from their open doors, their dark muzzles pointed at the main hall in a crossfire.

The sight made everyone break out in a cold sweat. ’If those things really open fire, can we possibly survive?’

’Then again, the target is just one man. Is this level of force really necessary?!’

Inside the main hall, Yi Beidou looked outside, a knowing feeling in his heart.

"Your army is quite fast. It seems Siam wants to fight me to the death?"

Yi Beidou asked, looking at Mahesvara.

"Master, please don’t misunderstand! These are just the defensive forces assigned to the Bao Lian Temple, deployed as an emergency response!"

Mahesvara said hurriedly.

’If a real fight breaks out, what are my chances of survival?’

He rushed to the entrance of the hall and shouted outside, "I am the Third Prince, Mahesvara! Hold your fire! Don’t make a move! Await my command!"

After managing to somewhat placate the soldiers outside, he breathed a sigh of relief and returned to the hall.

"Master, the Bao Lian Temple’s power in Nanyang is immense, and they act with impunity. The Siamese Royal Family has had bad blood with them for a long time, but we were helpless against the Divine Power of the Master of Bao Lian. If I may be so bold as to ask... the Great Vow Master is now..."

Mahesvara asked cautiously.

"This is a personal grudge between myself and the Great Vow Master. I have no desire to go on a killing spree in Siam. You have a good attitude, so I don’t wish to make things difficult for you. However, your status isn’t high enough to make decisions on many matters. Find me someone who can."

Seeing that the man was pragmatic, Yi Beidou didn’t mind speaking a little more with him.

His goal on this trip was to destroy the Great Vow Master’s Dao Field. Now that his objective was accomplished, he didn’t want to cause any more bloodshed.

Siam was different from Northern Myanmar. This place wasn’t rife with evil, and many of the soldiers were just ordinary people.

’My status as a prince of Siam isn’t high enough?’

Mahesvara took a deep breath. But on second thought, it was true. This man was on the same level as the Great Vow Master. In front of such a person, he could only be utterly respectful and act as a messenger.

"May I make a phone call?"

Mahesvara asked.

"Feel free."

Yi Beidou waved his hand dismissively, then turned and sat down cross-legged on the floor.

Mahesvara dialed a number and spoke for a while. After he hung up, about fifteen minutes passed before his phone rang again.

After finishing the call, Mahesvara took a deep breath, walked over to the cross-legged Yi Beidou, and bowed with his palms pressed together. "Master, our country’s Eight-armed Celestial Net Master would like to meet with you. Would you be willing?"

"A Saint? I suppose a meeting is possible."

Yi Beidou’s expression flickered at his words, and he gave a slight nod.

"The Eight-armed Celestial Net Master has already departed from Banku. He will arrive in half an hour."

Mahesvara told Yi Beidou, then retreated to the side without another word to wait quietly, his expression somewhat inscrutable.

About half an hour later, Yi Beidou seemed to sense something. He stood up and strode out of the main hall.

The soldiers waiting outside immediately tensed up, raising their rifles. They only lowered their muzzles again when they saw Mahesvara, who had chased him out of the hall, gesturing frantically at them.

The people in the tea room didn’t dare to leave. They leaned against the windowsills, watching the scene unfold in silence, not daring to say a word.

WHIRR! WHIRR! WHIRR!

Suddenly, a helicopter flew in from the distance and hovered overhead.

WHOOSH!!

A figure leaped from the helicopter.

’That must be at least ten stories high?!’

Everyone watched as the figure smashed heavily onto the bluestone ground of the courtyard. Rubble flew everywhere and the ground rumbled from the impact, filling them with an indescribable shock.

They prided themselves on being worldly, but today they had seen too many unbelievable sights. It was as if a door to another world had been opened.

A middle-aged man walked out from the crater in the ground.

The man was slender and of average height. He was barefoot, dressed in a Siamese-style linen shirt and shorts, and his skin was the color of bronze.

In particular, the bones of his knees, the edges of his fists, and his elbows protruded like blades or spikes.

His seemingly fragile body gave off an intensely chilling sensation.

It was like facing a praying mantis or some other arthropod—slender, yet possessing a ferocious power.

The Eight-armed Celestial Net, Bakagoo.

"I heard that a new Saint Expert of Body Ascension has emerged from Donghua, one who has been stirring up trouble in Nanyang recently. You are indeed powerful. However, to barge into another country’s territory without notice, killing wantonly, and causing chaos and incidents... your methods are a bit too domineering. You must give me an explanation."

Bakagoo said as he looked at Yi Beidou. His voice was calm, but it held an unquestionable authority.

His tone was nowhere near as humble and respectful as Mahesvara’s.

As the Guardian Master of Siam and a Saint of Body Ascension, standing on Siamese soil, he naturally had his own dignity to uphold.

Otherwise, wouldn’t he become a laughingstock?

Hearing this, Mahesvara’s expression changed slightly. He glanced at Yi Beidou, as if afraid this fierce man would be angered, but his expression quickly returned to calm.

After all, the situation was different now. With the Eight-armed Celestial Net Master present and surrounded by such a large army, he no longer needed to worry about the situation getting out of control or about his own safety.

And for this matter, they did indeed need an explanation.

"An explanation?"

Yi Beidou’s expression remained calm at his words. He looked up at the sky.

"I was going to give you an explanation. But since this is your attitude, I’ll give you one with my Fist Technique instead!"

BOOM!!

In the next instant, a savage light erupted in Yi Beidou’s eyes as his Celestial Demon Evil Qi surged forth like a monstrous tidal wave.
