Chapter 220: Force Unleashed

As Tatehan rolled the chakrams in his hands, feeling their balance, the thought that dominated his mind was the ability he had not yet used in actual combat.

The Force Multiplication ability.

He had even forgotten what it did to an extent, the details of its mechanics blurring in his memory alongside all the other abilities his System had granted him. But now, standing on the edge of a battlefield with enemies pouring out of the half-destroyed base ahead of him, he needed to remember.

In that split second, he willed the explanation to display across his retina.

The text materialized instantly, glowing softly against the chaos unfolding around him.

[Force Multiplication - Level 2]

[Type: Offensive Enhancement]

[Description: Any object thrown or launched by the user moves with 2x the normal force, dramatically increasing impact damage, penetration, and effective range. This ability transforms ordinary projectiles into devastating weapons and enhances existing ranged attacks to lethal levels.]

[Current Parameters:]

Force Multiplier: 2x baseline kinetic energy

Daily Uses: 4

Cooldown: Resets at dawn each day

Application: Thrown or launched objects only (does not apply to melee strikes or direct physical contact)

[Tactical Applications:]

Chakrams become armor-piercing projectiles capable of cutting through reinforced plating.

Improvised weapons (rocks, debris, scrap metal) become lethal high-velocity rounds.

Enhanced throwing range and accuracy due to increased momentum.

Synergizes with existing ranged combat tactics.

[Limitations:]

Does NOT apply to punches, kicks, or melee strikes (physical contact negates the effect).

Object must leave the user’s hand to activate the multiplier.

Each activation consumes one daily charge regardless of object size or weight.

Cannot be "stacked" or applied multiple times to the same throw.

Tatehan absorbed the information in less than a second, his enhanced mind processing the details with rapid efficiency. Double the force. Four uses per day. Thrown objects only.

Perfect.

He dismissed the display with a thought and immediately decided to use the ability.

He felt the weapons in his hands feeling slightly heavier, and then he hurled them forward with everything he had.

The moment they left his hands, the Force Multiplication ability activated.

Thooooooooom!

The sound was like a small sonic boom, the air itself rippling from the sheer velocity of the chakrams as they shot forward. They moved so fast they were almost invisible, just blurred streaks of silver cutting through the battlefield.

Whiisjsssh!

The first chakram hit the lead soldier in the neck, slicing clean through with so much force that it did not even slow down. It continued its trajectory, spinning through the air and striking the soldier behind him in the exact same spot. Then the third. Then the fourth.

The second chakram followed the same path, tearing through the necks of two more soldiers who had been trying to take cover behind a half-collapsed wall.

All six soldiers collapsed simultaneously, their bodies hitting the ground in a spray of blood and dust.

Tatehan stood there for a moment, slightly stunned by the crazy effectiveness of the ability. His chakrams could normally kill about three people simultaneously before losing momentum, cutting through them one after another in a deadly spin. But with Force Multiplication active, they had torn through six soldiers like they were made of paper.

He had used one of his daily charges. Three more left.

The chakrams boomeranged back toward him, and he caught them smoothly, their weight settling into his hands. He unsummoned them immediately, dismissing them back into his inventory, and in the same motion, he summoned his sword.

The Shadow-Forged Blade materialized in his grip, its dark, almost liquid surface rippling faintly in the light. Tatehan spun it once, feeling its balance, and then he charged forward.

A soldier emerged from behind a piece of debris, raising a plasma rifle, but Tatehan was faster. He closed the distance in two strides and thrust the sword forward with brutal efficiency.

Whooosh!

The blade pierced the soldier’s belly, the tip punching through armor and flesh with almost no resistance. But Tatehan did not stop there. He kept pushing, driving the sword forward, and the blade went clean through the first soldier and into the one behind him. And then the one behind that.

Three soldiers, skewered on a single thrust.

Tatehan yanked the blade free, the bodies collapsing in a heap, and he spun to face the next wave of enemies.

Bjorn had been starting his own fight when he caught sight of what Tatehan was doing.

The Viking had been moving toward a cluster of enemy soldiers, his massive warhammer gripped in one hand, his robotic horse stomping the ground beneath him. But he had paused, just for a second, watching as Tatehan’s chakrams tore through six soldiers in a single throw, watching as the Knight’s sword pierced three more in one devastating thrust.

Bjorn’s face split into a wide, feral grin.

"HELL YEAH!" he roared, his voice booming across the battlefield.

And then he turned his attention back to his own fight.

There were five enemy soldiers ahead of him, their weapons raised, their expressions shifting from determination to fear as they saw the massive Viking charging toward them.

Bjorn did not slow down. He did not hesitate.

He hurled his warhammer high into the air, the weapon spinning end over end as it arced upward, and then, with his hands now empty, he reached out and grabbed the nearest soldier by the head. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

Before the man could react, Bjorn brought his massive palms together in a thunderous clap, the soldier’s head caught between them.

The force was so intense, so overwhelming, that the man’s skull did not just crack. It exploded. The entire head reduced to paste in an instant, everything inside squishing out in a grotesque spray of blood and brain matter.

The body collapsed, lifeless, and Bjorn released it without a second thought.

Above him, the warhammer reached the peak of its arc and began to fall.

Bjorn did not even look up. He just stepped forward, positioning himself perfectly, and the hammer came down like a meteor, slamming into the skull of another enemy soldier who had been trying to flank him.

The impact was devastating. The soldier’s head caved in completely, the hammer driving through bone and flesh and armor, pinning the body to the ground.

Bjorn reached down, grabbed the handle of his hammer, and yanked it free with a sharp, brutal motion. Then he kicked the now-dead soldier away, sending the body tumbling across the dirt.

He hefted the hammer onto his shoulder, blood dripping from its surface, and grinned.

"Come on, then!" he shouted at the remaining soldiers. "Who’s next?!"
