Reborn Young Miss: Phoenix Burning Red-Chapter 164: Heartless (2)
Ares never thought he would end up in a strange place—a male brothel—with eccentric characters around him. Regret and fear washed over him as he realized the drastic turn his life had taken. Lennox’s plan eventually became crystal clear. He sent Ares to this male brothel, where he would experience firsthand the pain and powerlessness he callously inflicted upon others.
Gavin watched him with interest. This was the first time Lennox had viciously sent someone to a horrid place like this. The manager of this male brothel was greedy. He had been in this business for so many years and knew how to deal with the likes of Ares Gu.
Ares leaned back against the wall, unable to repress the anger as well as the fear that welled up. In his entire life, he has wielded power over others. Whatever he wanted was given. Now, the table was turned, and the once-powerful predator was now helplessly at the mercy of his prey. He was stripped of his illusions of power and control.
Women’s bodies were considerably weaker than men’s and couldn’t take much abuse. The patrons of the male brothel had unusual tastes and preferred young men who had never experienced bitterness in life, like Ares Gu. Moreover, they were different from men like Ares, who grew up in large cities. These men had robust bodies and were wild in bed.
Blood surged in Ares’s veins. He had defiled and harmed several women before, but none of them was able to humiliate him as Adrienne did. It was impossible for that woman not to know of her lover’s action.
His entire being was screaming in panic, wanting nothing but to escape from this horrid place. However, when he saw Gavin’s expression, he was left with desperation. It was impossible for him to defeat Lennox Qin.
Everyone in upper society knew that Lennox Qin was a devil incarnate. It was Ares’s misfortune to get involved with Adrienne Jiang. He suddenly thought that lusting over that demon was the stupidest thing he’d done in his entire life.
A week later, Ares Gu was beyond recognition. No one would believe he was once the young master of an affluent family in Changshi City. The patrons who touched him were all strong and violent. They tortured him until he passed out.
In this place, Ares found himself at the mercy of the very people he had once considered beneath him. Each passing day brought new torment. He pleaded for mercy, but his pleas fell on deaf ears. Day after day, he experienced firsthand what it felt like to be vulnerable and powerless. Every moment was a painful reminder of the pain he had intended to inflict on others.
He was angry and frightened at the same time. He’d been intimate with countless women before and naturally understood the ways of intimacy in bed. But who would have imagined that he would one day suffer humiliation and abuse at the hands of men in such a disgusting setting?
The knowledge that he was now experiencing the suffering he had once inflicted fueled his anger as he endured the suffering. The fear, mixed with his anger, made him question his own vulnerability and shattered his sense of control.

The young woman who caused Ares Gu and his family’s misfortune was aware of the situation. Adrienne had decided to spend a week at her grandparents’ home in order to avoid her father’s initial wrath. She knew that her father would rush to see her and blame her for Elise’s mishap. After all, they all colluded and sold her to the Gu family, but they never thought she would retaliate this viciously.
It took some time before Adrienne visited Jinxiu Garden and saw Lennox. Lennox had been on the edge these past few days, and she knew she was the reason behind it.
"You didn’t need to do that, Len. You should have let me deal with him." Adrienne told him.
Lennox lowered the papers he was reading and frowned at her. "I couldn’t just stand by and watch him hurt you," Lennox replied, his voice filled with concern. "I needed to protect you, even if it meant taking matters into my own hands."
Adrienne said nothing in response.
"You agreed you would let me deal with the Gu family. Are you regretting it now? Don’t tell me you are sympathizing with them."
Adrienne scoffed and rested her chin in her hand as she regarded the man before her. How could he sympathize with that man? Several women came forward and sued Ares Gu, revealing the torture and suffering they experienced from him.
Adrienne believed there was a special place in hell for the likes of Ares Gu.
"Of course not, but for you to send Ares Gu to a male brothel... You are heartless."
"Of course I don’t have one. You’ve already taken it the moment we met." Lennox said it with a straight face.
Adrienne wanted to rebuke him for saying such words, but she chose to avoid his gaze instead. She knew that engaging in an argument with Lennox would only escalate the tension between them. Instead, she took a deep breath and focused on maintaining her composure.
"You also don’t need to worry about Ares Gu going after you. It was me who sent him to that place anyway, and he wouldn’t be able to seek revenge because he’s already dead."
"Dead?" Adrienne turned her face so fast to look at him.
"Don’t look at me like that, Addie. It wasn’t me who killed him. One of the patrons of the brothel strangled him while doing it. We were supposed to bring him back to face his legal cases here. Having him experience the pain those women suffered because of him isn’t enough. I would prefer if he received capital punishment for his actions." Lennox said in defense.
Adrienne’s eyes widened in shock as she processed Lennox’s words. The weight of the situation sank in, and she couldn’t help but feel a mix of relief and unease at the thought of justice being served, albeit in a different way than they had planned. She took a deep breath, realizing that their mission had taken an unexpected turn, and wondered what consequences lay ahead for both of them.
However, Adrienne knew that being sent to a male brothel was as good as serving death to Ares Gu.
"I’m surprised, though, that Elise Jiang didn’t join those women to sue him. She could have used it to gain sympathy from others and to clear her name." Lennox added.
Adrienne nodded in agreement, understanding Lennox’s point. Elise Jiang had always been cunning and strategic in her past life, and it seemed odd that she hadn’t taken advantage of the situation. Perhaps she had other plans in mind, or maybe she simply didn’t want to be associated with the scandal any longer.
"She won’t do it. Father and Camilla Yan won’t allow it. Admitting she was defiled by Ares Gu would further lessen her chances of being married to a good family."
