Reborn with Steve Stand-Chapter 775: Saber is here!!
"Emiya-kun!"
Seeing Shirou Emiya kicked away by the enemy Servant, Rin Tohsaka couldn't help but cry out in surprise.
However, the force of the enemy's kick was so powerful that Shirou was sent flying into the warehouse, and he lay there motionless. Her shout, on the other hand, ended up revealing her own position.
"...Hmm?"
The enemy Servant turned his head upon hearing Rin's voice.
"Oh no!"
Realizing the danger, Rin quickly covered her mouth, but it was already too late.
"What's this? Another Japanese girl?"
The enemy Servant frowned slightly but soon started walking toward her with a large blade in hand. As he moved, he said, "Monk, go take care of that kid in the warehouse!"
"Yes!"
A voice suddenly responded from somewhere, followed by a flash of light. A bald man appeared, cracking his knuckles with a sinister smile as he strode toward the warehouse.
"A... Archer...?"
At this moment, Rin was truly panicked, instinctively calling out for help.
"Archer?"
However, instead of her expected ally, it was the enemy Servant who raised an eyebrow and seemed to realize something. "Are you Archer's Master?"
"I..."
Rin forced herself to stand, despite the frantic beating of her heart. Being quite clever, Rin had already surmised that her Servant must be having some kind of problem, perhaps due to overusing his Noble Phantasm, which likely drained a significant amount of mana—especially given its ability to resurrect the dead.
She knew she couldn't rely solely on her Servant right now.
She had to save herself.
With that thought, Rin gripped a gemstone tightly in her hand, prepared to use her magecraft at any moment. "I advise you not to act rashly. My Servant is an extremely terrifying one."
Of course, she didn't expect to scare off the opponent.
Her words were more of a tactic, meant to buy her a few more seconds.
"Oh, really?"
The enemy Servant paused for a moment upon hearing this, then asked thoughtfully, "So, your Servant is a top-tier one, huh?"
"Y-Yes, something like that."
Rin responded instinctively.
"Good!"
However, to her complete surprise, the enemy Servant suddenly let out a loud shout: "I live for fighting top-tier opponents!"
With that, he raised his large blade, ready to strike. Seeing this, Rin was so terrified that she immediately threw her gemstone without thinking and rolled backward.
The gemstone exploded in an instant, engulfing the enemy in a ball of fire.
But the next second, the enemy emerged from the smoke completely unharmed.
"What kind of nonsense is this?"
He dusted off his shoulder nonchalantly and said, "I wasn't planning to kill a woman, but my Master has no mercy for your kind... He despises you 'little devils' most of all. Sorry, but today, I'm killing every last one of you I see."
With that, the enemy Servant charged toward Rin again.
"I..."
Rin was truly terrified now. Her gemstone magecraft had proven completely ineffective. Realizing this, she decided not to confront him head-on, tossing a few more gemstones behind her as she turned and fled.
But just then—
A scream suddenly echoed from the warehouse.
It was clearly Shirou Emiya's voice. Hearing this, Rin halted her steps. But in the next moment, a massive surge of magical energy erupted from the warehouse.
"Huh!?"
The sudden display caught everyone's attention.
Not only Rin, but even the pursuing enemy Servant turned to look.
"A Servant summoning?"
Rin was bewildered. She had just summoned her own Servant not long ago, so she knew what such a surge of mana meant. But why would there be a Servant summoning ritual now? Hadn't the Holy Grail War already begun? And besides, there was no one else around...
"Wait... wait a minute!"
Suddenly, a thought struck her, and she widened her eyes in disbelief. "Could it be... Shirou?"
Her heart pounded at the realization.
But in her shock, Rin failed to notice the change in the enemy Servant's expression.
The rugged man wielding the large blade actually heaved a sigh of relief, a sly smirk forming at the corner of his mouth, as if he were somehow satisfied.
And just then—
A loud crash came from the warehouse.
The bald man who had been pursuing Shirou was flung out, as though something had violently hurled him, and he landed heavily on the ground.
"Monk!"
The man with the large blade paused briefly, then quickly composed himself and resumed his aggressive stance.
In the next moment, another figure rushed out of the warehouse. This one was small, almost petite, but incredibly fast—like a bolt of lightning.
"The seventh Servant?"
The enemy Servant furrowed his brow and raised his blade in defense.
With a loud bang, a massive wave of force exploded as the two clashed. In mere moments, they exchanged dozens of blows, their weapons flashing, leaving deep gashes in the ground. But soon, both retreated, standing off against each other.
Though their combat had paused, the tension between them was palpable, their gazes locking in a fierce, silent battle, the air thick with murderous intent.
"Is that..."
Taking advantage of the situation, Rin carefully observed the new Servant.
To her surprise, the Servant was a young woman.
Yes, it was a petite, blonde girl with piercing green eyes, a fair face, and clad in a blue dress with medieval armor protecting key parts of her body. In her hand, she seemed to hold an invisible weapon, and the entire figure exuded an air of nobility and courage.
Notably, she wore no helmet, revealing a tuft of golden hair that stuck out conspicuously.
"Another foreign girl...?"
The enemy Servant scowled deliberately. "It's like I've stumbled into a nest of women today!"
"You..."
The blonde Servant frowned slightly at this remark, clearly displeased. But before she could respond, the man suddenly turned away.
"Trying to run?"
The blonde Servant immediately took a step forward.
"Run? 'Run' isn't in my dictionary!" the man roared. "It's just that my Master gave me new orders. Otherwise, I would've wiped you all out today!"
With that, he disappeared in a flash of gold.
"He's turned into spirit form," Rin said, finally breathing a sigh of relief. "It seems the enemy has retreated."
But just as she relaxed, the blonde Servant turned toward her, raising her invisible sword as if contemplating whether to attack. Rin's heart immediately jumped in her chest again.
"You..."
Rin opened her mouth.
But before she could speak, the blonde Servant turned to face the main building.
Footsteps echoed from inside, slow and steady, as if someone was approaching the door.
"…"
The blonde Servant raised her weapon.
A creaking sound followed as the door opened.
Rin quickly looked up and saw her own Servant, Archer, standing there, his hands behind his back. His face was shadowed under his hat, making his expression unreadable.
"Archer!"
Rin quickly called out.
"Ah, Rin."
Archer responded, glancing around as if he had just noticed the blonde Servant. "Hmm? Looks like things took an unexpected turn."
"You just—"
Rin was about to speak when more footsteps came from the warehouse.
This time, it wasn't an enemy attack. It was Shirou Emiya, who hurried out, only to freeze upon seeing the standoff between the others.
"T-Tohsaka?"
"So it was you?"
Rin, who had been observing closely, immediately noticed the Command Seals on the back of Shirou's hand—three crimson marks. The meaning of this was clear.
The petite blonde Servant had been summoned by none other than Shirou Emiya.
Judging by his bewildered expression, he didn't seem to understand what was happening at all.
"Master, please stay back," the blonde Servant said, still alert. "The person before us is Archer's Master and could be a threat to you."
"What?"
Shirou was completely baffled. "But... Tohsaka-san isn't an enemy, right? What's going on?"
"As expected, you're completely clueless, aren't you?"
Rin sighed deeply and began to explain, "In short, we're not enem—"
"Wait."
Once again, Rin's words were interrupted, but this time by Fang Mo. He stared darkly at the blonde Servant in front of him and asked, "I need to know... are you Jewish?"
"What do you mean by that?" The blonde Servant frowned upon hearing the question.
"My empire was destroyed. The Americans stole my technology, the Soviets took my machinery, and the Jews took away my struggle." Fang Mo spoke slowly, his eyes devoid of emotion. "So they must die."
"What?"
The blonde Servant clearly didn't understand what he was talking about.
Although confused, she could sense his hostility and instinctively raised her weapon. "If you wish to fight, I am ready."
"I... no... please, don't..."
Seeing the situation escalating, Rin panicked. She was well aware of how deeply the "Führer" despised Jewish people—so much so that it was a fight to the death for him. But he had just fought a battle and overused his Noble Phantasms. He must be in poor condition, and there was no way she could let him continue like this.
Thinking quickly, Rin shouted, "Emiya-kun, is this how you treat the person who saved your life?"
"Savior?"
Shirou froze for a moment.
Then, as if remembering something, he suddenly clutched his chest. Yes, he recalled being pierced through the heart by a man in blue with a spear, only to wake up at home. Thinking about it, it must have been Rin who saved him, right?
"Tohsaka-san, was it you who saved me?" Shirou asked.
"Of course."
Rin immediately nodded. "You were already dead. My Servant and I used a large amount of mana to activate a Noble Phantasm just to barely bring you back. Are you going to kill us now?"
"Wait... hold on..."
Shirou finally started to piece things together. Seeing the blonde girl raise her weapon as if ready to strike, he quickly raised his hand. "Stop!"
With that shout, the Command Seals on his hand suddenly glowed.
The blonde Servant, who had been ready to attack, looked startled as her body seemed to move involuntarily, and she slowly lowered her weapon.
"Huh? What is this?"
Shirou, equally confused, withdrew his hand instinctively, unsure of what had just happened.
"Completely inexperienced, huh?" Rin sighed as she watched the scene unfold. "I can't believe you managed to summon a Servant."
"I have no idea either." Shirou was at a complete loss. "When I came to, she was already standing in front of me, talking about something called Saber and Master..."
"What? You summoned a Saber, the strongest class?"
Rin facepalmed.
"So, Tohsaka-san, what exactly is going on?" Shirou asked, still confused. "Does this have something to do with magi?"
"First, answer my question."
Fang Mo interrupted again, "Is she Jewish?"
"Saber..." Shirou turned to the blonde Servant.
"I am not."
Though she frowned, the Servant answered honestly this time.
"Oh, that's good." Upon hearing this, Fang Mo's dark expression suddenly turned into a wide, mischievous grin. "Seems like we're allies."
"Huh?"
Shirou blinked in confusion at the sudden change.
"In short, you've been caught up in a ritual called the Holy Grail War," Fang Mo explained simply. "It's a brutal battle, but the winner can obtain the Holy Grail, which grants any wish. We are Servants, historical figures summoned to fight for the Grail. For example, I... I seek to use the Grail to restore my fallen empire."
"...Hmm?"
As Fang Mo finished speaking, the blonde Servant sharply lifted her head.
In her emerald eyes, there was a look of shock and disbelief. Mixed within were complex emotions, almost as if she... understood.
