Reborn With a Money-Making System: Ruined Actress to Nation's Treasure-Chapter 169: The Husband Who Thinks of Everything
[Total Balance: $2,487,888]
Now that I looked at my balance carefully, I couldn’t help but stare at it in awe!
I did lose my deal with Green Leaf Production, but at least Penny had given me a lot of rewards today.
[See, Host? All of Penny’s missions are useful!]
"Yes, yes... you’re very useful, Penny," I sighed. "I’m sorry. I probably snapped at you a few times today because I felt too overwhelmed."
[Do not worry, Host.]
[Penny does not have a human heart, after all.]
Ah, Penny was right... she wasn’t even human in the first place, so even if I snapped at her repeatedly, I could never hurt her feelings.
Even so, she always spoke to me kindly and warmly, and because of that, I couldn’t bring myself to be harsh, not even toward a machine.
"Thank you, Penny," I whispered as I closed my eyes. "Thank you for trying your best to make me happy today. Good night."
[Good night, Host.]
I didn’t say anything else and fell asleep right away. Maybe because I didn’t sleep properly last night, I slept so deeply that I didn’t even dream.

The next morning, I woke up at around eight. My smile widened as soon as I saw our wedding picture hanging right in front of my bed.
My mood was so good today, and I preferred to remember our funny wedding photoshoot rather than think about the terrible things Kai had done to me.
Besides, the director of "My Boss’ Obsession" had asked me to come to the filming set today, so I didn’t want to stay sad for long.
I immediately took a shower and got ready to leave. When I came out for breakfast, Henry told me that Lando had gone to the office since morning.
"Young Master wants you to bring the two assistants he prepared for you, Young Madam," Henry said as I was having breakfast.
"Assistants?" I raised my eyebrow. "Why does he need to hire two assistants for me?"
He had mentioned before that it would be better if I had someone with me at the filming set. Marissa was always by my side, but her main job was to manage my schedule and deal with people related to my career.
That was why it would be too much for her to also carry my things and prepare my meals every day.
However, I thought he would only give me one assistant since my activities weren’t that many yet and I rarely brought a lot of things to the filming set.
"These assistants are special, Young Madam," Henry explained. "Both of them can also protect you at all times."
Henry then explained that the assistants Lando hired were women who were skilled in martial arts.
"If anything bad happens to you, they can protect you right away, Young Madam," Henry added. "Even if you’re inside the restroom."
I was speechless because Lando had thought of everything for me. If he hired male bodyguards, they wouldn’t be able to follow me into the women’s restroom, and it wasn’t impossible for a crime to happen there.
"He’s really sweet to me," I said while covering my mouth with my hand, trying to hold back my emotions so I wouldn’t cry from feeling too touched. "I should call him later."
"Oh, about that, Young Madam," Henry said, "Young Master also asked me to tell you not to disturb him at all today."
I frowned. "Really? What is he doing?"
He had never told me not to disturb him before. If anything, he usually encouraged me to call him whenever I wanted.
"Zentra will be choosing drama series and movies to produce this season," Henry said. "During this process, Young Master doesn’t touch his phone at all because the deals require full focus."
I nodded in understanding because I completely understood the reason. Sorting through something like this did require a high level of focus since every script an entertainment company received had its own strengths.
"Alright, I understand." I smiled at him. "I’ll talk to him once he gets home instead."
After breakfast, I went to the filming set. It was located around downtown, and The Red Zone rented an entire floor of a building as the shooting location.
Since this series was an urban office drama, the set wasn’t too complicated. It looked like a normal workspace, and there was also the CEO’s private room where Elena and Jacob usually had their affair.
"Helcia, I heard you were sick yesterday," Mira immediately asked the moment she saw me step into the filming set. For some reason, she seemed genuinely concerned about me.
"Ah, yes," I smiled and reassured her. "It was just a fever, so I’m fine after resting at home all day. I actually want to apologize because I couldn’t attend the script reading held yesterday."
Mira patted my arm gently. "Don’t worry," she said. "Yesterday, the director focused on building chemistry between me and Samuel, so you didn’t miss anything. Besides, your performance on the first day was already great."
It was still hard for me to trust other actresses after what happened in the past, but Mira seemed so warm and sincere. Maybe I shouldn’t let my bad experiences haunt me too much.
Besides, building a good relationship with senior actresses would give me a lot of benefits in the future.
"I hope Samuel didn’t give you trouble yesterday," I said with a soft chuckle. Those words were actually a bit risky, but I used them to see whether Mira also harbored dislike toward Samuel deep down, or if she would defend him despite their arguments.
"Ah, don’t talk about that man." Mira rolled her eyes and clicked her tongue quietly. "He was more than an hour late yesterday, ruined my schedule, and did a few things that made me want to slap his face."
I smiled and cheered inwardly. At least, if we both hated the same person, I could build a relationship with her more easily.
"Tell me about it," I said playfully. "So I can predict what kind of shenanigans he’ll pull today."
