Reborn on Wedding Night: Flirting the Cold Bigshot into Blushes-Chapter 315: Is My Outfit Not Good-Looking?
Nancy Allen was sleeping soundly. She had insomnia from overthinking last night and spent most of her time in the flower shop sleeping.
Godfery Shaw also slept well. He decided to turn this coffee shop into a small resting place, maybe even set up a bed later.
Hailey Smith, who was guarding the door of the coffee shop, was speechless.
What are the Young Master and Young Madam up to?
Wouldn’t it be better for the couple to sleep at home together? Why are they acting like the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl, sleeping on opposite sides of the street, looking at each other from afar!
Hailey found it absurd, but she didn’t say anything. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Because if she offended the Young Master with her words, she might end up like her brother, busy from dawn till night.
...
When Godfery Shaw woke up, he noticed that the curtains were drawn on the glass door, blocking the sunlight and the view.
"Open the curtains." Godfery ordered, his voice lazily authoritative.
Hailey hesitated a bit but gritted her teeth and pulled the curtain open.
Once the curtains were opened, Godfery saw another man next to Nancy Allen in the flower shop across the street, or rather a young man.
A very young man, with a bright smile, wearing rubber gloves, carefully trimming flower branches, removing dead leaves, and then handing them to Nancy, who would sort them into a large flower basket.
The two of them together, both very young, looked like two young college students, exceptionally harmonious.
Godfery couldn’t help but look at his own attire, mature and formal, in dull colors, exuding a sense of distance.
Hailey timidly said, "Young Master, don’t be mad, maybe... maybe he’s just a new friend of Young Madam."
Godfery suddenly asked, "Does my clothing look bad?"
Hailey was completely stunned, what’s going on?
Earlier, seeing that young man get so close to Young Madam, she worried that if the Young Master woke up and saw, he’d be furious, so she quietly drew the curtains.
Especially since seeing Young Madam with Marsh Smith before, the Young Master’s anger was enough to set the world on fire.
But now, the Young Master saw this scene, not only was he not angry, he actually asked if his clothes looked good.
Hailey’s brain almost stopped. "It looks great..." she mumbled.
Godfery seemed to be preoccupied with his clothes and instructed, "Next time, prepare some other colors for my clothes."
Hailey: "???"
Isn’t black steady? Isn’t gray grand?
Why would the Young Master want to wear other colors?
Hailey suddenly looked over, at the young student in a white t-shirt and shorts, and felt like she understood something.
She boldly asked, "Young Master, aren’t you worried that she and that man are... too close?"
Godfery’s gaze shifted from his clothes to Hailey. "Nancy won’t like anyone else," he said coldly.
Any man who wants to get close to Nancy isn’t in for an easy time, how could she easily like another man.
Hailey blurted, "What about Marsh Smith?"
Godfery’s deep eyes glanced at Hailey, making her shiver, realizing she spoke too much again!
Hailey thought the Young Master wouldn’t answer.
Godfery stood up, didn’t wear his black jacket, and even loosened his overly formal tie, saying while undoing his cufflinks, "Nancy had once said she liked Marsh Smith, but it doesn’t matter now, she no longer sees him in her eyes."
Because Nancy once said it herself, Marsh Smith was special, Godfery would care.
And there was Elijah Jefferson. Nancy allowed him near and kept the grass dragonflies he made.
As for others, Godfery Shaw didn’t care. If even he might not be noticed by Nancy, how could she notice anyone else.
Hailey nodded thoughtfully.
The next moment, Godfery casually said, "The previous batch of bodyguards trained was good, train another batch to protect Nancy."
Hailey’s eyes widened in surprise, her tone trembling, "Young Master, are you kidding?"
Training the first batch already left her exhausted, now another batch?
Godfery peacefully watched Hailey.
Hailey, eyes wide, covered her mouth, fearing she might say anything inappropriate again. She knew she should keep quiet, she knew the Young Master was frightening!
Hailey mumbled through her hand, "Young Master, today’s your regular haircut, they’re waiting, should we go now?"
Godfery, while unbuttoning his cuffs, seemed less stern and paused, "Not going recently."
Because Nancy previously expressed liking his hair, hoping he’d let it grow longer.
Hailey felt like the Young Master was acting strange today, she wanted to ask why, but recalling what happened when she spoke too much, she tightly covered her own mouth.
Over in the flower shop, the two continued organizing the flowers.
Godfery walked out of the coffee shop, saying to Hailey behind him, "No need to follow me."
Hailey was assigned to guard Godfery because he didn’t feel safe anywhere. In a less conscious state, he needed someone trustworthy by his side.
Now that Godfery was awake, Hailey naturally didn’t need to follow him anymore.
Hailey covered her mouth and sprinted towards Cloudglow Tower, to find her brother for help!
Godfery walked towards the flower shop across the street, as he walked he ruffled his hair to make himself look younger, thinking it should look better this way.
Nancy was focused on her work, oblivious to the approaching visitor.
Frank noticed and looked outside, his first thought being that this person was looking for Nancy Allen.
The aura of this man was strong and unique, like the one previously claiming to be Nancy Allen’s brother, unlike them, a different temperament.
Frank nervously said, "Nancy Allen, someone’s here."
Nancy nodded, not turning her head, assuming it was a customer.
In her small shop, people were used to self-selecting and paying, so even if someone came, there was no need for interaction.
It wasn’t until a shadow loomed overhead, blocking the light, that Nancy turned her head.
Upon seeing him, she was startled, and the flower in her hand fell.
Godfery bent over, caught the fallen flower from her hands, and placed it gently in the basket, elegantly like he casually asked while passing by, "Nancy, what are you doing here?"
Nancy’s feelings were complicated now. She wanted to be near Godfery in the flower shop, but she didn’t want him to know it was hers.
Seeing Frank about to speak, she didn’t have time to write notes.
Afraid of being found out, Nancy stood on her tiptoes and whispered in Godfery’s ear, "I know the owner, just helping out because I was bored."
Frank was shocked by Nancy’s gesture. He was about to talk but ended up swallowing his words.
Since he met Nancy Allen, she had been cold and aloof, never this enthusiastic towards anyone.
Who is this person? The previous visitor was Nancy Allen’s brother, this person must be her boyfriend!
When he saw Nancy leaning in, Godfery naturally held her by the waist, "What’s your surname, sir? I apologize for Nancy causing trouble."
Frank thought, indeed, he’s Nancy’s boyfriend. He wanted to speak, but Nancy signaled him not to.
Frank suppressed his thoughts and awkwardly said, "No trouble at all, just call me Frank."
Finding the title ’sir’ awkward because of the overbearing presence of this man, being called so felt uncomfortable.
Nancy intended to immediately leave with Godfery now.
But Godfery, after speaking, just sat down naturally, suggesting, "You need to sort and classify these flowers, right? I’ll help with Nancy."
Nancy was about to refuse, but she had just said she wasn’t the owner...
