Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Will My Wife Get Tired One Day_1

Meng Yunhan laughed so hard she couldn’t straighten her waist.

Old man Zhao also couldn’t stop laughing.

“Ahao, Little Huzi is only a year old, he is still a baby. It’s too early for him to become a little man,” said Ahao, not giving his son-in-law face.

Ahao, however, was all smiles when speaking to his daughter. “Ahao, if you come back more frequently, Little Huzi will recognize you.”

Yun Hao gave an answer, “I’ll try to ensure that I come back once a week, unless I have to go out for a mission.”

His wife had already moved to Kyoto, and they were less than ten kilometers apart, yet he only managed to return home once every few months.

He could only see his wife once every few months, and while he did, he expressed his longing for her.

Would his wife grow tired one day?

Would she refuse to live such a life?

He knew his wife treated him well, and she even said she liked him. But he always worried that since he hadn’t been spending much time with her and she was such an exceptional woman, she might one day say ‘You can’t give Yunhan what she needs, let her go!’

He would nip this possibility in the bud.

Listening to this, Meng Yunhan’s eyes sparkled.

Though she was mature at heart, she wished to see her man every day, not once every few months or even longer.

Ultimately, the father and son’s attempt to bond failed when Little Huzi burst into tears, refusing to give them face.

“Next time, don’t keep a straight face,” she advised.

Yun Hao glanced at Little Huzi, who was in his wife’s arms, “I’ll try.”

“If you talk to him and play with him for a while, he’ll recognize you and stop making a fuss,” she explained.

Yun Hao looked at Little Huzi again, “okay,” he replied, wishing for him to get out of his wife’s arms quickly.

Finally, old man Zhao coaxed Little Huzi over to him with some food.

Yun Hao contentedly returned to the room with his wife.

“Compared to other children, Little Huzi is well-behaved,” she pointed out.

Yun Hao nodded in agreement.

“Children are very sensitive. I know you have not spent a lot of time with Little Huzi, you might not fully understand what it means to be a father and the responsibility it entails. We are new parents ourselves, we’re figuring things out as we go,” she reassured.

Yun Hao nodded yet again.

Whatever Meng Yunhan said, Yun Hao would nod in agreement.

“Wife, you must be thirsty, have some water,” Yun Hao offered, thoughtfully handing her a cup of warm water.

Meng Yunhan accepted it and took a sip. She continued, “Little Huzi is still young and can’t call you daddy yet. Don’t be upset. I’ll teach him to call you ‘daddy’. By New Year’s, he should be able to.”

“My son is certainly the smartest. It’d be best to foster his independence from a young age. He can’t be held by girls, that’s rascal behavior.”

Meng Yunhan, satisfied, started discussing something else, “Let’s not tell our parents about buying a house in Kyoto yet.”

She was a student in Kyoto, with her child and father. The sudden news of buying a house would surely raise questions as to what they would say.

They would let the in-laws know later.

“If we tell mother, it won’t stay a secret for long,” he pointed out.

Thinking back on her day in the village, Meng Yunhan realized that neither of her sisters-in-law, nor her nephews, had visited, except for Little Zhuzi.

The following day, the family went out together, a first for them.

Yun Hao pushed Little Huzi along while Meng Yunhan carried a cloth bundle, filled with Little Huzi’s trousers, food and drink.

“Such a lively scene,” old man Zhao sighed.

Despite the smile on her face, Meng Yunhan didn’t say anything. There weren’t that many people on the street. If she could see a sea of people everywhere, then she would consider it crowded.
