Reborn ghost seeing lady is pampered by her ex husband-Chapter 628: Journey to Elythion.
Chapter 628: Journey to Elythion.
Phoebe pulled her shoulders into a shrug. "I am completely fine; you people need to stop acting as if I am nine months pregnant. Keep in mind that I am the grand guardian and I am more powerful than all of you combined. If I feel tired, then I will take a break." She massaged her tummy.
She was also pondering on what Star had said about the founding council headquarters. Unlike Star, she had another opinion. It was better to leave things as they were for the moment. If security was tightened suddenly, it would look suspicious, and Azur would go into hiding.
Phoebe could not let that happen. She needed the supernatural war mess over and done with before she gave birth and everyone realized her baby was the grand guardian and demons started coming for her. Besides, she really wanted her life to go back to normal. Just coffee, cake and ghosts....no demon hunting.
While the building could be left as it was, there was still something that could be done. "Grandpa Rufus, you may want to cleanse the founding headquarters of demon energy." Phoebe spoke suddenly.
Rufus paused movement, staring at Phoebe quizzically. "I will get someone right on it immediately." He pointed at Edward who was the leader of the group that was going to search for Cillian. "Let me know immediately when you find him." He ordered making the sign of the cross. "I pray that you do."
Edward nodded. Rufus and half of the group left the office leaving behind the Mayfair’s and David. He was on the phone, telling Arrow to rush over. Before the call could end, Arrow entered the office.
Grandma Mayfair, Jennie, Collin and Shanna were staying back so they hugged those that were going and urged them to be careful. Collin wanted to go but someone had to hold down the Mayfair fort.
He envied Luke and Luna in a way. They were free to come and go and they chose. But when he looked at Shanna’s stomach, he was also relieved that he was not going.
Suddenly, grandma Mayfair had a change of heart. "You know, what, I am going too." She dared anyone to defy her and nobody did.
Edward motioned for everyone that was going to follow him despite not knowing where they were heading to. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
"So where are we going? Which country is it?" Phoebe raised a question.
Sabrina scratched her brow. "I may have misspoken, we are not going to a country but a city. Elythion to be exact." She answered.
Maureen gasped, her blade fell to the ground.
Edward who was about to create an arc to create a portal paused. "Elythion? Are you serious?"
Sabrina nodded.
"What is Elythion?" Andre asked.
Maureen rushed to explain before Rekha could. "Elythion is a myth, a city we have never seen but study about none the less. It is a place that supposedly exists in the cracks between dimensions, the unseen spaces of earth. It is a city where everything supernatural coexists in harmony, untouched by human interference.
They say it is governed by the forgotten gods and the oracle of echoes, a timeless being whose voice whispers the past and future of the human world.
The reason as to why the guardians are called guardians of the supernatural wall is because we are supposed to be guarding the mythical roads, paths, space, cracks or whatever separates us from them. But we have never seen it and supernatural creatures keep crossing from there to here. Some come for tours, vacations, others chaos and destruction."
"Holy shit!!" Luna exclaimed. She was so glad to have met the Mayfair’s. The world was truly endless, and ordinary humans spent their lives never knowing this truth.
"Now you know why I cannot find him from here, my tree says that he is there, and we cannot teleport there because I do not even know where it is exactly. I am gambling to be honest." Sabrina expressed her worries.
"How the hell did grandpa get there?" Andre asked.
Everyone shrugged. How would they know? Maureen did think that if there was a place where her father had known that he would be safe it was there.
Star spoke up when they were at peak confusion. "Mommy, I know of a path that leads to Elythion. You don’t need to gamble." She went ahead and gave Phoebe all the information that they needed.
"We will use clouds for transport." Phoebe announced, spreading fear among some.
Grandma Mayfair took a step back like as though she might change her mind about going. "Child, have you seen clouds? They have no weight or something to step on. What if it melts and we fall off!" Her lips trembled lightly.
"It is very safe Nana, and you will enjoy the ride and view." Phoebe assured her.
The spirit appeared and announced that they were set to go. "The ride is here." It announced pointing at the floating cloud that was next to the window.
It was big and fluffy like cotton candy, white as snow. Andre took a picture and her recorded a five second video while everyone gushed.
"Today people." Phoebe called out, pointing to the window.
"Alright." Andre was the first to board, then he stretched his hand to Sabrina who jumped on next, the rest followed suit.
It was weird how solid the cloud felt when they sat down. It was like a soft furry comfortable carpet or duvet.
"Are you sure we won’t fall?" Grandma Mayfair croaked.
"Yes nana." Phoebe assured her.
"Someone needs to pinch me." Luna mumbled.
Luke pinched Andre instead of Luna and Andre cried out in pain.
"It is not a dream babe." Luke told her.
Luna opened her mouth, and she screamed, thrilled and laughing wildly as the billowing cloud which had been enchanted with silver runes gliding upwards effortlessly. The Saxon spirit had cast a spell over them. Nobody could see them and nothing could touch them, like the flying birds.
They were inside a dome, and they could breathe without trouble in the sky. The cloud raced like lightning across the heavens for what seemed like an entire day without stopping.
They passed mountains, crossed oceans, entered darkness and finally reached a smoky like wall that reflected every color of the rainbow.
None of their watches were working so they had no idea for how long they had been traveling or where they were. Their phones and other electric gadgets were not working.
"Is this earth too?" Andre asked as they entered the smoky like wall.
"Welcome to the supernatural wall, everyone please be quiet and calm." Sabrina told them.
They did as she said, their hearts thumping like those of thieves stealthily entering a very secure mansion of a rich man in the night.
When they came out on the other end of the mist like wall, they could all see that it was another world. The air had changed; it was heavier and smelled like fruit. It was charge with something unexplainable, magic and power so much of it.
The bright sky above shimmered in a swirling blend of deep violets, sunflowers and emerald hues. Towering onyx structures stretched towards the sky, some buildings seemed alive, shifting their forms subtly as easily as humans took breath. Winding bridges of golden glass and light connected the buildings and the ground.
They were not the only ones floating in the sky on clouds, others were doing the same thing, creatures of different species. Some with fur, other with claws, some with wings others without faces.
It felt as if they were being watched, like the city itself knew they were there, and it knew who they were. They could all hear whispering in their ears. "You were never meant to see. Leave the veil as you have come, or we will make sure that you never leave."
The humans could not help feeling wary and swallowing hard.
