Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 154: Crawling back to him
Even after looking around for some time, when Amelia didn’t find anyone, she stayed silent, too cautious about her environment, too observant about every gaze on her so she could see who was watching her.
But she didn’t find anyone suspicious, no one who would know anything about the white light she met or her relation to any mage’s powers that were mentioned during her rebirth.
She packed her books inside the backpack once she was done and stood to leave when someone stopped her.
She looked at Joseph with raised brows.
"Yes, Mr. Miles. How can I help you?" She asked.
The man cleared her throat, feeling a little ashamed, before he presented a gift pack wrapped in pink silk, clearly prepared by a girl.
"Caroline wanted to thank you for helping her last night. She didn’t know what to give you, so she got you some chocolate cookies. You always loved them, right?" Joseph said with a slight smile.
Seeing how Amelia didn’t extend her hand to accept the gift, Joseph swallowed hard.
"It’s not poisoned if that’s what you are worried about. If you have any suspicion, you can choose any cookie and I’ll eat it," He said to assure her.
Amelia looked at the gift pack before looking at the man’s eyes.
"It’s a thoughtful gift. I’ll accept it. However, I don’t want anything else. I got paid for what I did. It was purely professional," Amelia said, and took the cookie box.
She nodded at the man one last time and left.
Joseph heaved a sigh of relief once the girl was out of sight.
He looked at his empty hands and then pulled out another check that he had prepared for her as a token of gratitude, thinking she might use it as pocket change to make her life easier.
But seeing her reaction just now, he knew that if he had presented the check, she probably hadn’t accepted the cookies either.
He looked at the back of the leaving girl with a sigh.
When did that happen? When did Amelia’s image turn to a mere love-sick fool who had no talent or dignity in everyone’s eyes? Who spread those words first?
This was always her. She didn’t change at all, but in Alpha Killian’s eyes, she had changed drastically. Was it because the loving side she used to show him, being cursed for and made fun of, had vanished completely?
The only side that was supposed to be exclusive to him in her eyes, the one for which he humiliated her countless times, didn’t appear anymore?
Joseph looked at the check before crumbling it in his hand and leaving the room.
Hannah, who had witnessed everything and seen how public opinion was shifting about Amelia, a problem for her image, tightened her grip on her clutch before she turned and left.
"So?" Kyle joined Amelia when she went to the terrace of the University, near the rogues’ building.
Amelia sat on the bench and looked at the crumbled note.
"Do you have nothing better to do than hover around me?" She asked.
Kyle smirked at her words rather than finding them offensive.
"You didn’t say this when we met last night. Someone wanted to take my pants off and ride me the entire night. Have you forgotten about it?" Kyle smiled, mischief dancing in his eyes.
Amelia’s ears turned red at such lewd language.
"How vulgar. I would never say something like that," Amelia kept her eyes trained on her hands, afraid that if she looked into his enchanting eyes, which always made her forget about things and lean into the mate bond, she might realise what he was saying was right.
Kyle looked at her flushed neck and licked his bottom lip.
She looked ready to be devoured.
Uhhh...why was it so hard?
"You are right. You didn’t say those things. Rather, you were trying to unbuckle my pants while you kissed my throat." Kyle’s gaze turned dark as his eyes couldn’t look away from her neck.
There was just something so alluring about her today that was irresistible to the very end.
He had been feeling edgy since morning because of that and had been waiting for her to turn up here.
He knew she would come. Even if she keeps denying it, the mate pull is not standard and something one can easily ignore, not until it is rejected.
Though she always sees him in the name of having some kind of ’task’ for him, her heart knows that it has always been to see him, even if she would never admit it.
"Shut up. I came here because I had something to ask you," Amelia said.
Kyle smirked.
Just like he thought.
"And what would that be?" He asked with a meaningful gaze.
"You also saw Dominic’s anxious face when he was in that part of his estate. He wouldn’t be stupid enough to come and cause a scene at the Grand Palace without any evidence if something big wasn’t at stake. From my faint memory, I feel like I saw a person chained in the dungeons and–"
Amelia couldn’t complete her sentence because in the next moment, Kyle grabbed her chin and pulled her close, making her breath hitch.
"You want me to go and see what that precious thing is that the bastard is trying so hard to protect. Am I right?" He asked.
Amelia nodded softly, and Kyle immediately closed the distance between them, placing his lips on her neck, making her gasp when he kissed her sloppily there.
Her fists clenched on his chest, and she tried to push him away; however, even she felt her gentle push was too light to push away a rogue head.
The more she interacted with him, the weaker her resolve became.
"You can’t –" Amelia started, but the man grabbed a fistful of her hair and placed his lips directly on hers.
He sucked her lips like he was worshipping a goddess with his lips. He nibbled her bottom lip, seeking entrance to her divine taste, licking her lips like he was tasting an exotic food.
When Amelia didn’t open her mouth to let him in, he placed his hand on her throat, massaging her neck with his thumb, making her gasp.
Kyle smirked in the kiss, immediately savoring the opportunity and pushing his tongue inside her mouth.
"Mmm," Amelia groaned, forgetting about everything else as she suddenly felt like she was in the right place. Nothing was wrong with this situation.
Lost in the moment, Kyle pulled her closer until she was sitting on his lap with her legs on either side of his waist.
The heat from her demanding pussy that was aching with slight, growing need warmed his crotch, and he felt his soldiers reacting to her.
If that wasn’t enough, to get better access and taste, she raised her body and pushed herself into him, completely lost in the symphony of their heartbeats, pacing in sync as she kissed him like there was no tomorrow.
The subconscious rubbing was too torturous for Kyle. He groaned inwardly.
This girl would be the death of him.
Kyle bit his bottom lip. He had been courteous for too long.
She was his mate, his to take, his to claim, and his to love.
Why did he always hesitate?
Without a second thought, he removed his hand from her hair and placed it under her top, feeling her soft skin, making her groan and breathe heavily as her chest heaved up and down, rubbing against his chest.
He couldn’t take it anymore.
Placing his hand on her breast from the other side of her bra, he rubbed her nipples, making Amelia gasp loudly.
"Aahh," She moaned, throwing her head back as he placed his mouth on her throat.
He licked her neck, letting her dry hump on him.
If only she would allow him, he definitely wanted to show her what heaven felt like, what being excited and releasing that orgasm, what reaching that kind of climax that would make her scream in pleasure would feel like.
However, it was a little too much for her.
Kyle grabbed her hair and pulled her head back in for a frivolous kiss as he kneaded her breasts, earning groans from the back of her throat.
Seeing her a complete mess and knowing she was yet to eat something, Kyle snarled slowly before pulling her head away from his mouth as they breathed heavily.
"You would be the death of me, Sweetheart. On your birthday, I’ll make you. And that’s a promise I am making to myself," Kyle growled slowly.
His words about the marking finally brought Amelia back to her senses, and she realised the position she was in.
His other hand, which was under her top, felt a little too sensitive, and she felt a beat skip, not in her heart but down there.
She swallowed hard.
There was no use saying what he was doing with her. She knew what they were doing, and the fact that this bond had the power to make her forget about everything else was what troubled her more.
Because, for once, she finally knew what was happening.
She was screwed. She was in love with not one but two men. And they both hated each other’s presence.
Amelia gulped.
