Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 104: Dominic’s useless strategy
Dominic stood outside the very class that the rogue head was supposed to be as he waited for the man to come out.
Usually, Kyle wouldn’t bother sitting in class for more than ten minutes. He was quite intelligent and could grasp the concepts of most things just by reading once. However, his subordinate had already informed him about Dominic’s presence, and he didn’t want to leave so quickly.
Kyle walked to the back of the class and peeped through the side window; the man was indeed eagerly waiting.
Who even told him about his schedule? The thought alone made him narrow his brows.
Once the lecture was over, he couldn’t help it anymore.
He walked out of the class.
May I have a word with you, Stone?" Dominic asked.
Kyle raised his brows when Dominic stopped his direct subordinate.
Stone furrowed his brows and looked at his boss, wearing a half mask to cover his face.
It looked like Dominic was highly mistaken, and it was a good thing.
Kyle nodded at Stone, and the latter nodded at Dominic.
’Keep me updated with what he is saying. It’s better to keep your mind-link open and accessible for me,’ Kyle said to Stone through the mind link, and the latter nodded before leaving with Dominic.
Kyle leaned back on the railing as he watched Doinic taking Stone to the stairs.
"What is it?" Stone kept his words limited and his tone precise. It was possible Dominic mistook him for his boss, and he wanted to keep it as mysterious as his boss.
"My team made an offer to you," Dominic said while looking around, ensuring no one would hear them.
He kept in mind not to use direct words and to talk subtly with hints.
Stone looked to his side at his boss, a silent query about what to answer that.
Kyle nodded at him.
"I heard," Stone said. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Dominic thinned his lips.
"We offered quite a good amount. Is there any particular reason why you don’t want to follow through? You have many people under you, and I am sure you guys can use this kind of money to upgrade your armory," Dominic said.
His words made Kyle smirk. Upgrade his armory? Did the royal dog think they wanted charity from him for that?
"I don’t want to do it because I don’t feel like it. As you said, I have a lot of people under me. Why would I risk their lives and attack royals when I know it won’t turn out well?" Kyle asked.
Stone repeated the words for his boss in the same tone.
Dominic clenched his jaws. He knew what the rogue head was talking about.
Even with the large army, he didn’t expect him to overthrow Cyrus or land a heavy blow on him. He knew no one could do that without a well-calculated, meticulous plan.
However, he hoped they would attack the southern and eastern chains Cyrus was taking care of, so he could prove his incompetence before the ministers and push his son forward for the throne.
And the worst part was that he couldn’t assure the rogue head or his team that nothing would happen to them because Cyrus already didn’t like rogues because of their mischievous activities. If he got angry about something, he might end up killing them.
"You can attack his life if you can’t attack him directly. I am not asking you guys to kill her, but probably do something that would hurt her or scare her," Dominic suggested.
The rogues probably won’t know how much Cyrus cared for Amelia since many didn’t even know he was married or who his wife was. He could use this against them and Cyrus.
Kyle smirked at Dominic’s words. Hurt Amelia?
"We didn’t know he got married," Stone said, the words that Kyle asked him to.
Dominic’s eyes twinkled a little as if he got leverage and a way to handle the situation.
"Yes, he got married. He isn’t revealing the truth because he married a healer’s daughter out of a peace treaty, but doesn’t love her. Thus, it won’t matter if she got attacked, but it would surely prove his incompetence," Dominic said.
Kyle thought for some time.
"Twenty million dollars," Kyle stated.
Even Stone was shocked to hear that. The most they have charged anyone for kidnapping and such work was a hundred thousand dollars. That was their highest bid. But now, twenty million?
He couldn’t help but turn to look at his boss to see if he was serious.
When Kyle nodded at Srone, the guy repeated the amount.
Dominic’s gaze darkened at the amount.
"I was offering that amount to attack Cyrus and his work. Do you think these things are the same?" he asked, a little angry.
"She is a royal, isn’t she? And I am sure there would be tight security around her. Besides, when Cyrus finds her and knows it was our work, we will take the heaviest blow while you stay unscathed. For the King’s trials, that’s not a big amount," Stone formulated the words that his boss said.
Dominic clenched his fists but couldn’t rebuke his words.
After all, they were right. This amount was nothing for the King Trials and his son to become the King.
"It’s done. I will give you half the money before the deal and half the money after the work is done," he said.
Kyle nodded at Stone.
Dominic sighed in relief. It was good that he came to talk for himself. At least he got them to agree to something. This way, his work would be done, and no one would suspect him, especially Cyrus, who had been finding ways to blame him.
Dominic transferred the ten million dollars to the account that Stone gave to him.
Kyle looked at the message about the wired money and sighed.
He didn’t want to use Amelia for it but had a big army to feed. Besides, he never planned to hurt Amelia. He would kidnap her fr sure, but it won’t be to torture her.
"Uncle Dominic, what are you doing here?" Cameron’s voice snapped everyone’s attention to him.
Dominic froze in his place. He had ensured no one would find him coming here, so he used the back gate to enter and went straight to the rogue wings. However, who would’ve thought someone would still come?
"These rogues tried to plan an attack on our Bentley estate. I heard about it yesterday and came to warn them," Dominic formed a quick excuse.
Cameron looked at Stone and Dominic. Seeing that the man only talked to a subordinate, he believed his words and nodded.
"It’s better not to come here to meet the rogues. It won’t leave a good impression on anyone if they hear of it," Cameron said.
Dominic smiled in understanding before nodding.
