Chapter 138: The Spirit Tower (Part-2)

Although the cost of cultivating here was painfully high, Zora quickly discovered that the Spirit Tower was still packed to the brim. Almost every stone chamber was occupied, and many spirit warriors lingered in the corridors, patiently waiting for someone inside to finish.

Outside each stone chamber hung a small plaque, clearly displaying how much cultivation time remained. Thanks to this, everyone could line up in an orderly fashion and avoid unnecessary disputes.

Zora climbed all the way to the eleventh floor.

With only a hundred points she had, this was the highest floor where she could cultivate for a full two days. Going any higher would be meaningless. Unless she reached the fifteenth floor, her points would still only allow two days at most.

The eleventh floor also contained eight stone chambers, but the space here was noticeably narrower than on the lower floors.

After a brief glance, Zora realized that each floor still had eight chambers, yet their size shrank steadily the higher one went. By the time one reached the twenty-first floor, a single chamber would barely be large enough for one person to sit cross-legged.

Her gaze soon settled on a stone chamber whose remaining time showed only one hour. Without hesitation, she stopped in front of it and waited.

Sitting down against the wall, Zora entered a light cultivation state. Even in the open space, the dense spiritual energy was beneficial.

Of course, the tower had strict rules. The open area was only for waiting. Anyone who cultivated there deliberately would have points deducted as punishment.

With such harsh consequences, no student dared to break the rules. The academy’s authority was not something anyone wanted to challenge.

An hour passed in the blink of an eye.

A faint rumble echoed as the stone door slowly opened. Zora’s eyes lit up. Finally, it was her turn.

A man in a green robe stepped out. When he saw Zora waiting outside, he froze for a moment, clearly surprised, before instinctively taking a step back to leave.

Just then, an all-too-familiar and thoroughly unpleasant voice rang out.

"Corvin, perfect timing. Your cultivation is over. Give me this stone chamber."

Adrian strode onto the eleventh floor, and the moment he spotted Zora, a sneer crept onto his face. Ever since the humiliation he had suffered at the Mercenary Union, he had been nursing his resentment. Running into her here was truly fate being kind to him.

He could now get back at her.

Corvin was his sworn brother. As long as Adrian spoke, this stone chamber would definitely be his.

Even though fifty points a day was outrageously expensive, if it meant making Zora uncomfortable, Adrian felt it was worth every single point.

Corvin understood Adrian’s intentions immediately and laughed heartily. "No problem. I’m done anyway. You go in."

Zora’s dark eyes narrowed. She hadn’t expected Adrian to dare provoke her again.

Just as Adrian was about to step into the stone chamber, Zora moved, blocking his path. Her red lips parted slightly, her voice calm yet cold.

"Everything has an order. First come, first served."

The moment those words fell, Adrian and Corvin both burst into laughter.

"Miss Zora," Adrian sneered, eyes flashing with malice, "there are only three of us here. As long as we say it’s mine, what good is your argument?"

Every ounce of his humiliation traced back to this woman. His hatred had long since fermented.

Zora’s expression remained indifferent, her gaze sharp and unyielding. "I said this stone chamber is mine."

Her voice carried a quiet pressure, her eyes cutting across Adrian and Corvin like blades. It was a clear warning.

Adrian snorted coldly. "Don’t think just because you have some strength that you’re invincible. We’re not afraid of you!"

He admitted he was no match for her alone, but together with Corvin, he believed they could easily suppress her.

Corvin’s expression hardened as well. "Zora, you dared to bully my brother. You should’ve thought about the consequences."

The air on the eleventh floor grew heavy, tension coiling like a drawn bowstring, ready to snap at any moment.

Zora’s red lips curved into a dazzling, almost bewitching smile. Against that breathtakingly beautiful face, her eyes suddenly flashed with a cold, ferocious light that made one’s heart tighten.

She had never been someone who enjoyed bullying others. But being bullied? That was something she had never tolerated.

After all, she was never a kind-hearted saint.

Boom!

Without the slightest hesitation, Zora stepped forward and drove her fist straight into Adrian. Mana erupted like a roaring tide, and Adrian’s body was blasted backward as if struck by a battering ram, flying more than ten meters before crashing heavily to the ground.

Though Adrian was also at the middle stage of the Sky Realm, Zora had never placed him in her eyes.

The sudden change left Corvin completely stunned. Adrian hadn’t even had time to react before Zora had already struck!

"I am bullying your brother," Zora said calmly as she lifted her chin, her gaze sharp and domineering. "So what?"

Her black eyes gleamed brilliantly, arrogance and confidence written plainly on purpose across her expression.

"You..."

Corvin’s face flushed with rage. He had come today intending to help Adrian regain face, yet before he could even finish speaking, Adrian had been sent flying. That punch felt less like it landed on Adrian and more like it had smashed directly into his own face.

"Zora!" Corvin roared, fury boiling over. "You’re a special enrollee, and yes, your talent is impressive. I admit that. But I’m at the late stage of Sky Realm!"

Even if he wasn’t a special enrollee, he had cultivated far longer than Zora. His strength, in his mind, clearly surpassed hers.

Maybe a year from now, he wouldn’t stand a chance. But right now? He refused to believe she was his equal.

"Late Sky Realm?" Zora widened her eyes slightly, her face briefly showing what looked like surprise, even a hint of fear. Then, in the next breath, she tilted her head and smiled faintly. "Is that... supposed to be impressive?"

That single sentence, light and casual, was laced with merciless ridicule.

Corvin nearly exploded on the spot.

"You’re asking for death!"

Grinding his teeth, he unleashed all his mana in an instant, his aura surging violently. If he didn’t teach this woman a lesson today, she would truly think the world revolved around her!

"He’s jealous!" Black shouted angrily, waving its tiny fists. "This ugly guy needs to be stomped flat!"

"Yeah, let us take care of this, Master..." White cheered along.

Zora flicked her wrist casually.

Boom! Boom!

Two soft yet unmistakable impacts rang out as Black and White shot forward like cannonballs, slamming straight into Corvin’s eyes.

"Ah!"

Corvin let out a miserable scream as searing pain exploded in his vision. His carefully gathered mana scattered instantly, breaking apart in chaos.

Before he could even recover, Zora stepped in and drove a kick squarely into his abdomen. Corvin’s massive body flew backward like a rag doll, soaring more than ten meters through the air.

*Ugh*

Adrian had just struggled to his feet, clutching his stomach in agony, when he saw Corvin hurtling toward him at terrifying speed.

"What—!"

Another scream rang out as Corvin crashed down on top of Adrian.
