Chapter 523: Chapter 523: The Second Young Master Reflects on His Failure

"Teddy, you’re amazing!" Abigail’s worries vanished as she cheered on the little fellow crawling toward her with a raised fist.

The little guy felt the encouraging atmosphere and continued to crawl toward Abigail.

Although calling it crawling, it was more like inching forward.

On the other hand, little Tate, who was almost four months older than Teddy, heard the adults’ laughter and crawled even more energetically. He finally stopped in front of Teddy, who was slow like a snail, and said, "Ah..."

Teddy heard and resumed lying on the ground, turning his face toward Tate, "Ah ah!"

"Ah ah..."

"Ah ah ah!"

"..."

The two little ones seemed to be conversing. You said "ah" once, I said "ah ah" twice, chatting away happily.

Abigail saw this for the first time and was stunned for a while. Then she couldn’t help but laugh, "Aunt Claudia, what are they talking about?"

"I also want to know," Aunt Claudia shrugged.

Kelly laughed and translated, "Probably talking about crawling. Shall we crawl? No! Crawl a bit more? I won’t!"

"Hahaha, then are you guys going to crawl or not?" Abigail laughed loudly, moving closer to look at her son and asked.

The little guy seemed really tired, lying on the ground with his head tilted, lazily looking at Abigail.

Abigail couldn’t stand her son’s soft and cute lazy look anymore. She reached out and picked him up.

Without the difficult task of learning to crawl, little Teddy was happy, bouncing in Abigail’s arms. His two little corn teeth were revealed in joy.

Supporting the little fellow, Abigail’s mood, which had been repressed since last night, finally relaxed a bit. Her eyes were filled with gentle and delicate light.

After Brandon Piers kicked Pullan out, he was still angry. He slammed his fist on the table, causing the phone beside him to fall to the ground with a bang. It took him a while to calm down and pick up the perfectly intact phone. Opening it casually, he saw a bunch of emojis sent by Abigail.

From asking for a hug, asking to be lifted high, to asking for a kiss, the beast of restlessness in his heart suddenly quieted down. He held the phone for a long time before putting it down and getting up to leave the study.

He knew Pullan was right. Abigail was not at fault in this matter. Instead, she was the victim.

But from yesterday until now, not only did he not comfort the little chubby girl, but he also coldly ignored her multiple times, just because of the uncontrollable jealousy and inexplicable unease in his heart.

Seeing the little chubby girl repeatedly showing goodwill toward him, Brandon couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt.

But asking him to lower himself and respond to her now, he couldn’t do it. So, he decided to go downstairs to see Teddy. He guessed that woman was probably by Teddy’s side.

Without asking the servants, Brandon walked around the manor, seemingly casually wandering over to the floral corridor. He thought Abigail might still be feeling down. But as soon as he looked up, he saw Abigail holding a happy Teddy, her eyes shining brightly. The trace of guilt instantly vanished.

Instead, an uncontrollable anger took its place.

She’s so happy, even though he’s so angry?

Did she have no heart?

Or did she act depressed last night and this morning just to put on a show for him, while she actually had a great time with Jeffrey Foster?

She had liked that man for so many years, and critical life choices were related to him. But she might have been harmed by him. Even though they hadn’t found concrete evidence yet, the things behind Jeffrey’s lab and the Foster family showed that the man wasn’t who she thought he was.

Could she still not have truly let him go?

Then what did he, Brandon Piers, mean to her?

First, she concealed her identity at school, unwilling to let him take her to school. Knowing he didn’t like Jeffrey Foster, she still insisted on joining his lab.

He could tolerate these, but he couldn’t accept that even after they defined their relationship clearly, she still couldn’t let go of someone else.

Brandon felt something blocking his chest, making him feel stifled and uncomfortable. He didn’t want to see Abigail’s bright smile and left the manor directly.

The women teasing Teddy and Tate had not noticed the man who came and left not far away.

Abigail teased Teddy for a while, then let the little guy play with Tate and sat down next to Kelly to ask about her relationship with Peter.

She really lacked experience in relationships, and even in dealing with people. Several times she had hit a wall with Brandon Piers, suffering quite a blow.

"Did you have a fight with the Second Young Master?" Kelly whispered when she heard this.

Abigail briefly explained yesterday’s events to Kelly.

Little Tate was at his most mischievous, hardest to control stage, and could crawl away if you weren’t careful. So Kelly hadn’t touched her phone much, and Peter wasn’t a talkative person, especially about the master’s family business, which he never discussed.

Kelly only knew something had happened, but not the details. After hearing Abigail out, her mouth slightly opened, "Young girls nowadays are so calculating. Didn’t she win the competition? Why did she have to be so ruthless?"

"Let’s not talk about this. Help me think of a way to appease him. I really can’t think of anything," Abigail felt she had exhausted her mind and couldn’t come up with a good solution.

In intimate relationships, she was completely inexperienced.

"Second Young Master is really something. You’re the one who got hurt and frightened; why is he angry?" Kelly said angrily as a woman. Then, realizing her blunder, she whispered, "So... nothing happened between you and Dean Foster, right?"

"No, it’s just... he came in right as I fell on him. He was drugged and drunk, mistook me for someone else, and spoke nonsense." Abigail couldn’t tell that Jeffrey Foster confessed to her.

Kelly understood, "So, Second Young Master is jealous!"

"Jealous?" Abigail hadn’t thought of this from the incident until now.

"Yes, obviously, he’s jealous. It’s simple!" Kelly said confidently.

Abigail, almost worried sick, heard Kelly say it was simple. How was it simple?

The man hadn’t talked to her since last night, didn’t reply to her messages; it didn’t seem simple at all.

"Silly girl, which couple doesn’t fight at the head of the bed and reconcile at the foot after a night’s sleep?" Kelly said lightly.

Abigail blushed at hearing this. Although she had shared a bed with Brandon Piers multiple times, nothing substantial happened. Now Kelly’s words made her feel ashamed and a bit tempted.

"Oh, you’re blushing. You’re already a mom, why so shy? Our pure Abigail. Want me to teach you more, like, about positions and such..." Kelly noticed Abigail’s reddened face and couldn’t help teasing her.

Abigail covered Kelly’s mouth in a panic, checked around to ensure Aunt Claudia and the kids hadn’t heard, then released her. Her cheeks were even redder and hotter, and she whispered in embarrassment, "Please don’t talk nonsense." novelbuddy.cσ๓

"Haha, alright, I won’t talk nonsense. I’ll send you a few good things to study," Kelly winked.

Abigail instantly understood, her mind went blank, "You..."

"What? To win a man’s heart, you need to win his stomach first. Can’t I teach you cooking?" Kelly innocently asked.

Abigail, "..."
