Reborn as an Extra-Chapter 608: S-rank Dungeon, A Forgotten Nation. Part-3.
[Why name it that if you are now embarrassed to tell others about it?...]
[Are you worried that others will think that you are treating it as your and that stone-faced guy’s kid or something? Rio Junior... Seriously?]
[Your naming sense is really bad, you know...]
’Ugh... j-just shut up already...’
Ignoring Kai’s words, Lia placed the little golem on her left shoulder, while the fat cat Kai remained seated on her right shoulder firmly.
Seeing Lia carrying her two companions like that, James looked at his butler and nodded his head.
"My daughter is the cutest in this world, right? By the way, did you bring what I asked you to?"
The butler ignored James’s first question and brought out a golden cape from his space ring.
"Here, it’s been made exactly the way you asked for..."
James smiled and took the cape and unfolded it.
The golden cape had silver designs of swords and a giant silver lion carved on it with the word ’Silver’ written in bold words!
It was a very elegant yet domineering piece of cloth blessed with a great number of magical enchantments!
"That kid Rio... he got ahead and gave you a birthday gift in advance, but your father is not going to be left behind like this!"
"Here, I had it specially made for you! Try it on!"
The cape was not only just a decorative piece of clothing; it was also a powerful artifact that could play a defensive role in dangerous situations!
Lia’s eyes lit up brightly as she took the cape and felt the silky-smooth texture of it.
[Hoh, whoever designed is worthy of praise; they have perfectly captured my majestic appearance in this piece of art... I am impressed.]
Even Kai felt that the cape was really amazing, so Lia immediately donned it on her shoulder, and a smile appeared on her face.
Seeing that James was standing there looking at her with a face begging for a response, Lia smiled lightly and spoke.
"Thanks, Dad~"
*Thud!*
Hearing that sweet ’Dad’ word from Lia’s mouth, James fell on the ground in a very dramatic manner.
"Ugh... call the medic... I was hit straight in the heart!"
Lia rolled her eyes seeing her father being so dramatic and stepped forward towards the center of the teleportation portal opening altar.
"Hmph! Stop wasting time; we need to get going! I am eager to practice my sword skills!"
After hearing those words, James had no other choice but to stop wasting time; he ordered the staff members to get the portal ready for them.
The staff members were done with the maintenance work soon, and the altar lit up brightly with the glow of condensed mana, and spatial fluctuations started spinning in the area crazily.
A massive teleportation portal was opened in just a few seconds and was stabilized with the help of powerful technology and magical artifacts!
"Let’s go!"
With James leading the way, Lia stepped inside the portal with an excited look on her face.
Her hand touched the locket around her neck as she thought to herself,
’I will be back soon... and this time, I will become capable of standing side by side with you...’
...
*Crack!* *POP!* *SIZZZLEEE!!!*
The moment Lia walked out of the teleportation portal, a powerful heat wave hit her face, and the unique sound of boiling hot lava sounded in her ears.
She found herself standing in an underground cave with rivers of lava flowing in all directions.
Bubbles popped in the lava with a glass-cracking-like sound, and the smell of sulfur was extremely dense in the air.
Lia could feel tremendous gravity weighing her body down, and waves of heat kept heading in her direction continuously. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"This is...."
Seeing that scenery, Lia was confused for a second, but James cleared up her doubts with his usual calm voice.
"The dungeon we are heading towards is located deep underground... right now we are thousands of kilometres deep inside earth..."
"Use the power of the cape that I gifted you... it can help you regulate temperature around you... don’t waste too much mana here though, save as much as possible for the actual dungeon..."
*KMRRRIIIEEEEEEGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!*
Just when James was trying to explain the situation to Lia, a massive eel-like creature jumped out of a lava river straight towards them both.
Its entire body was covered in massive, hard, and stonelike scales, and it was spitting liquids that burnt fiercely when coming in contact with the air!
James grabbed the massive broadsword hanging on his back and swung it with immense speed with a single hand as if it didn’t have any weight at all and slapped the massive eel with the broadsword’s blade!
*BAM!!*
As if hitting a home run with a baseball bat, the eel was blasted away in the distance as its entire body burst apart from the impact of that sword hit.
James didn’t even use any skill in that sword attack and just killed an A-rank monster with sheer strength alone!
He just flexed his massive, well-built muscles like he was posing for some heavyweight bodybuilding championship and just blew a monster apart while taking it effortlessly.
[I had my doubts but... isn’t your father quite a barbaric brute? He’s swinging that sword around like it a hammer or something...]
[Aren’t swords supposed to be used for cutting things specifically?...]
’Err... I don’t know but he’s always been using that massive broadsword for battle...’
Ignoring the astonished look on Kai and Lia’s face, James placed his sword on his back once again before saying,
"Don’t mind it; these little eel-like creatures are the local residents of this place. although they aren’t strong, they are annoying like flies; you swat one away and two more will come to pester you later..."
"Let’s get moving or we will have to sit down and swat an entire nest of these annoying flies here before they would let us off the hook for killing one of their comrades..."
With that said, James stepped forward and headed deeper into the underground cave system, with Lia following right behind him.
