Reborn as a Weak Earthling, I Became the Most Overpowered Mage Alive-Chapter 114: Ch : New Mini-Game Open
The air turned tense around the pair, but things did not remain calm for much longer. Seraphina noticed Queen’s weapon heading toward her, but instead of dodging, she decided to meet her halfway.
"Now that she has denied your request, am I allowed to kill her?"
Queen asked with a blank look on her face. It actually seemed as if she was out to kill Seraphina.
Unfortunately for her, the result was the same as their last clash, and Seraphina was able to push her back with relative ease.
The force Seraphina used caused Queen to slide back, but she kept her weapon ready to fight back.
"You can stop now, Queen. Miss Seraphina, we did not mean anything by this small scuffle. You are free to head back. I assure you that we won’t attack you again. However, please do give my proposal a second thought. Who knows, you might change your mind about it."
Thief asked her, but Seraphina had already turned her head away from him with an annoyed frown on her face.
It seemed as if there would be no middle ground reached between them.
She left without looking back, and Queen let out a frustrated sigh.
’I don’t know what Thief sees in these outsiders, but we don’t need them. We will save Earth and humanity our own way, and Thief would be hailed as a hero by everyone. We do not need more pests to make that happen.’

The extra help in the farm work allowed Clara to clear out more space, and she quickly got to work.
Since they had extra money and manpower to spare, Andrew also decided to buy some equipment from the system store to mark their territory. No one (except Jenna) had tried to break into his estate and loot it yet, but he wouldn’t put it past people as well.
So he and the others quickly put security measures in place.
[Home Base has been unlocked. The current perimeter of the Home Base has been marked in red.]
The map showed the Home Base as well as various places in it. It also marked the location of fairy workers and the... puppet guest Andrew had picked up and not done anything about.
With the help of this map, it would become far easier and more convenient for him to keep an eye on things around the base. The only downside was the cost of running it all.
Even the simplest of upgrades required so much system money (not that it had been any different before the system. But he, at least, had more than enough money before that.)
"We are going to run out of habitable space soon. It might not be a concern now, but if we take in a few more people in the future, then we would need more space to live. We need to start saving to buy a house from the system."
Andrew muttered as he looked down at the system footprint. 50,000 coins for a 3-bedroom addition to the current house did not sound bad. But it was too much money to make any irrational decisions about.
Which meant the next few mini-games would be crucial toward their growth.
[Player Seraphina has entered the base territory. Automatic access will be granted.]
The system notified Andrew as soon as Seraphina’s body entered the home space. He spent a few more minutes tracking her movement before she reached the main house.
Seraphina had an annoyed expression on her face, and Andrew immediately asked her what had made her like this.
"What happened? You don’t seem to be in a good mood. Did you find something that irritated you?"
He asked, and at first, Seraphina did not say anything. Andrew did not push her to speak, but after a few seconds, Seraphina decided to speak to herself.
"The only irritating thing that happened to me was getting hit on by someone I clearly rejected. Tsk, these humans seem just as dense as some of our people and do not seem to take a ’no’ properly."
Andrew just chuckled at Seraphina’s words. She had always been a little popular, even back in their world. She was good-looking and had the power to back up her pretty face. Most people wanted to take advantage of her, and she had gotten tired quickly.
But somehow, Andrew doubted that it was what was bugging her at the moment. In fact, he had a good idea what could have set her off.
"Did Thief ask you to be a part of his team, and when you said no, you got attacked by Queen?"
Seraphina’s eyes widened a little in shock at his words, but she quickly controlled her expression.
"Did you gain mystical powers to be able to tell this...? Anyway, I said no already. I have no intention of working with that side unless I have no other choice left."
Seraphina was no saint, and she had done her fair share of shady things. But what Thief and his side were doing was beyond inhuman, and she would not want to associate with them, no matter how much she was paid.
"I see. That’s good to know that I have your loyalty. Now, come and help us-"
[System Notification: A new mini-game will open in 20 minutes. Please get to the nearest hot-spot in our area (as marked on your map) to participate.]
[Clarification: there will be no penalty for not participating. Participating and winning are optional as well. Any injuries the player sustains will be their responsibility.]
The system suddenly brought up a mini-game once more. It had been a few days since the last one, and it was about time.
"Alright, finally-! I felt like I was going mad working on all these plants all this time." 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Jenna complained just loud enough to be heard. She earned a glare from Clara for her effort, but she did not seem to be bothered by it.
"Don’t worry. I will make sure you finish your work once you come back. Don’t think you can get away from farm work so easily."
Clara replied back with a happy smile, and everyone around her flinched as they realized that their hardship was going to continue soon.
