“Little Blue, roughly how long will it take to repair City of Chaos?” Yae-hime brushed aside her black hair that had been tousled by the wind and asked.

Based on her estimation, Alicia would need around four to five days to recover her strength to its peak. The restoration of City of Chaos had to be completed before that.

Little Blue pondered for a moment, then replied, “About a day and a half to two days.”

“Mm. Then two days from now, we’ll return to the Saint Demon World. By the way, the unfinished building has already been renovated, right?” Yae-hime asked.

“It’s been done ages ago. There’s a bathroom, a kitchen, and a big bed, super comfortable. And when the time comes, I’ll even leave Chef One behind to cook for them!” Little Blue said proudly, hands on her hips.

“Good.” Yae-hime patted her on the head, then turned her gaze toward the five Vera sisters. “While we’re away, you’ll stay on standby in the unfinished building.”

“Yes!” The five of them nodded in unison.

Before Yae-hime had woken up, they had already seen the accommodations there. Although it could not compare to the rooms in City of Chaos, the difference was not that great.

More importantly, during the few days they stayed there, they would be able to eat plenty of meals made with high-grade ingredients. No loss at all.

After chatting casually with everyone for a while, Yae-hime returned to her room and lay down on the bed to rest.

“Things left behind by the ancestors still have plenty worth learning from.” She stared at the ceiling, slowly raised her hand, then suddenly snapped her arm forward. The surrounding space rippled faintly as if shaken, and a sharp boom echoed through the room.

“Grandmaster-level martial techniques really are exquisite. When it comes to utilizing the body, they were undeniably far superior to me. Of course, that was before.”

Now that she had formally trained in grandmaster-level martial techniques, she had surpassed her predecessors entirely. Even if those three grandmasters were called over to fight her head-on, Yae-hime could still use the same techniques to knock them flat.

“Now I have martial techniques, basic skills, and sword manipulation. As long as I don’t run into a Martial Saint–level monster, I can still fight.”

After the previous round of training, Yae-hime’s strength had climbed another small step. Even if she ran into Lisa, there was nothing to worry about. As for the so-called Martial Saints or overseas Sages, whether they even existed was still an open question.

“Those ancient creatures are known dangers. Fortunately, they’re still in the process of awakening.” Retracting her hand, Yae-hime stared at the ceiling and murmured to herself.

Aside from the monster in the southern Pacific waters, she had yet to see similar existences appear elsewhere. Moreover, after showing itself once, that creature had vanished without a trace.

Little Blue and Yae-hime suspected that it had only awakened temporarily and had not truly revived. After all, the planet’s recovery had only just begun, and there simply was not enough ambient energy for it to absorb.

“After sleeping for hundreds, even thousands of years, their bodies must be starving, desperate to recover.”

As long as those ancient beings could not return to their full strength in a short time, they posed little threat to her.

What’s more, once part of the City of Chaos’ functions had been restored, it would undoubtedly give her wings like a tiger, allowing her to sweep across everything in her path.

There was truly nothing to worry about.

“Only by being strong oneself can one remain at ease in any situation.” Yae-hime closed her eyes and said softly. As her words fell, the room gradually grew quiet.

Inside the game, within the Celestial Island palace.

“Judging by the timing, Zerene should have already arrived on the Southern Continent by now. I wonder if she’s met the Child of Destiny?”

Seated upon an exquisitely carved jade throne was a young girl as delicate as sculpted jade, her bearing noble and refined. Her voice echoed through the grand hall, yet no one answered.

“Unfortunately, I am bound by the Heavenly Law and cannot observe what’s happening over there.” The powerful Celestial being let out a soft sigh, then gently swung her beautiful, jade-like feet.

For some reason, an inexplicable sense of unease had lingered in her heart lately. Clearly, her external incarnation possessed considerable strength, so there should have been no need for concern.

“I hope nothing goes wrong.” Looking toward the outside of the grand hall, she murmured quietly.

At this moment, in the guest room of the village chief’s house in Aoma Village, the girl who called herself Zerene was still sleeping soundly. Beside her, Lili slept just as peacefully.

Under the same sky, within the church of Jade City. At this time, those foreign clerics had already been arranged accommodations at nearby inns.

The bishop and Passat were arranged to stay in the church’s high-grade VIP suites.

“Passat, I heard you were beaten up?” In the living room, Bishop Gurant sat on a plush sofa, lightly sipping a glass of crimson fruit wine as he looked at the young man seated opposite him and asked.

“Yes, Your Grace,” Passat replied, leaning back against the sofa with one leg crossed over the other, his tone casual and unconcerned.

“You didn’t retaliate. That surprises me,” Gurant said.

Although the two were, in name, in a superior–subordinate relationship, Passat was, after all, a member of the Golden Aslan family, so he was naturally treated differently from an ordinary subordinate.

“Your Grace, that’s because I’ve fallen in love,” Passat said with a smile. That smile was thick with an oily, cloying quality.

“May the Goddess bless you,” Gurant replied flatly. There was not the slightest hint of sincerity in those words. Even so, Passat was clearly delighted.

“Your Grace, I have an impertinent request.”

“Oh? Let’s hear it,” Gurant said as he set down his wineglass and fixed his gaze on Passat.

“I hope you can strip this church’s Saintess, Irene, of her saintly status. As for the price, I guarantee it will satisfy you!” Passat said excitedly. At the thought of that little enchantress falling into his hands, helpless and frightened, his excitement surged until his very brain seemed to tremble.

Hearing this, Gurant’s eyes widened slightly, his expression shifting. “Have you been hit so hard that you damaged your brain? That’s a Saintess we’re talking about!”

“I know,” Passat nodded. “But as long as the Saintess violates the rules, Your Grace still has the authority to deal with her, don’t you?”

“…” Gurant fell silent. Under normal circumstances, he would never help Passat. However, he might need the power of the Golden Aslan family in the future, and doing Passat a favor was not entirely out of the question.

‘This church’s Saintess is not of a particularly high rank. Getting rid of her wouldn’t be too difficult.’ After pondering for a moment, Gurant finally made his decision. “Very well. I agree.”

“Your Grace, thank you very much. If there’s ever anything you need from the Golden Aslan family, just say the word. I, Passat of the Holy Church, will do my utmost to satisfy Your Grace!” Passat lifted his wineglass, his face lit with a broad smile.

“Easy enough,” Gurant said as he raised his own glass.

The two then clinked glasses and drained them in one go.

Elsewhere, Irene lay on her bed, her small face pale as anxiety churned within her. She had a strong feeling that Passat would not let her off so easily. “Even though this Saintess position is something I could give up, I still can’t bear to part with it…”

She stared at the ceiling, slowly lifting her right hand and grasping at the empty air. As if she were trying to seize that hazy, intangible future. Yet no matter how hard she tried, she could not grasp it.

“Ahhh! This is so annoying. You bad person1, hurry up and help me deal with this trouble already!” At that moment, Irene suddenly thought of Yae-hime, her heart restless yet inexplicably filled with anticipation. If it were that person, there would surely be a way to solve her troubles.
