Reborn as a Leader: King's Debauchery, SSS-Yandere Harem and Evolution-Chapter 37- Queen Astara
"I guess," Akhil said.
Rather than focusing on the artifact in his hand, he was observing her body language, trying to decipher her reaction.
From it, he saw surprise, and at the same time, she looked at him with eyes that seemed to glow with appreciation rather than the greed he had initially thought.
Naturally, it was no hidden truth that anyone with dominion would want an artifact strong enough to recover their energy for themselves.
However, it was impossible for a person to use another’s artifacts, though they could ask for help from time to time to refill their dominion; that was it.
Unlike him, who possessed the ability to extract artifacts and use others’ without their consent, no one, even with consent, possessed any ability unless they had some kind of artifact that allowed such a thing to happen.
No one could use another’s artifact.
"Hm, now it might make things easy for me."
Grace swiftly went into deep thought mode, her hands placed on her chin as she considered that now that he had that effect, convincing the monastery would not be that hard.
She could easily make them understand that it was the king who originally had this artifact and had given the high priest the position to act as proxy, while he had ultimately betrayed him and tried to covet his position, even though the king secretly wanted to help the people around the kingdom.
Of course, this story would seem fabricated, but in the absence of evidence, everyone would believe that it was the king who possessed this artifact from the beginning and had just lent it to the high priest to act as his proxy in the monastery and assist the people.
This would also elevate his position as the king in the eyes of the common people and give her valid grounds to negotiate with the monastery.
"I will need to make preparations."
Grace nodded before leaving the place, leaving Akhil standing there.
He looked at her, without inquiring further, as he watched her back disappear down the hallway, glancing between the effect and her now-vanished form.
"What?"
Akhil stood there, anticipating the opportunity to tell her his plan, where he wanted to make it appear that he was the real holder of this artifact and was using high priest as his proxy until now.
He looked at her back, confused that she hadn’t even acknowledged his plan and had left without explanation.
He understood there were many things needed to be dealt with in the palace.
’Let’s meet the queen first.’
Naturally, the one he needed to meet first was the queen, considering the artifact she had given him was clearly working.
He needed to strike a deal with her so that no problems would arise in the future, and he could also gain access to her dominion, making him strong enough to control the Eye of Charm.
But of course, he only hoped he would not die somehow there.

In the palace that belonged to Queen Astara, the scarcity of maids today, who had been intentionally given leave, left the palace lacking servants.
The room within resonated with footsteps as a cloaked woman made her way into the bathroom, opening the door as she arrived near an open bathtub pool and knelt.
"My Queen, I have cleaned the dead bodies and, as per your orders, sent the head of one back to the empire," the cloaked woman knelt in front of Astara, her head bowed as instructed by the queen to send the head of that cloaked figure sent by the empire here and subsequently killed by Lysendric back to the empire as a gift.
’How dare he!?’ Astara, on the other hand, appeared clearly negligent to the words of her bodyguard, who had been sent by her father after learning about the conspiracy plotted by her brother.
She was clearly haunted by what had happened a few hours earlier.
Lying on her bath-pool in the soap-bubbled water, she pressed her thighs together, still feeling sticky within.
She couldn’t help but remember the last bit of her chastity, which she had protected all these years; now it was taken by the hands of her so-called stepson.
Until now, he had shown a personality that, in her wildest dreams, she would have never imagined would lust for her body.
But now, after what had transpired, she couldn’t brush off that memory.
"Queen, if you order it, I can deal with him," the cloaked woman inquired, keeping her head bowed.
She recalled that her queen seemed to be in a rather disoriented state, initially making her suspect that it was perhaps her queen’s side of action.
But seeing her reaction until now, it appeared there was more than met the eye, prompting her to request permission to kill the man, whom she identified as the current king of the Vandreat Kingdom.
"Kill him—" Without hesitation, in a surge of anger, she was about to order her to kill that lecherous young man, but halted midway as she remembered how, in the end, he had protected her.
Initially, her memories of him were of someone always studying and working hard.
She paused, clenching her teeth, "Leave it."
The memories inside her mind of that young man, who appeared so focused on his status as crown prince while challenging her to become a king, made her realize that she should not see him as a child anymore.
"Haah... just break his manhood," she demanded.
She was not going to leave him alone after what he had done to her, prompting her to order the cloaked figure to cut off the root of all evil.
"As you say—!" Before the woman could respond, she suddenly felt a presence inside the room, causing her eyes to swiftly dash towards the bathroom gate.
Narrowing her gaze, she stated, "My Queen, it seems someone possessing holy energy has arrived inside your room."
"Monastery? Deal with them," Queen Astarra just relaxed her head, placing it back as she ordered her guard to deal with the person who had arrived inside her room.
Given the events and information she had received from those people, a few hours ago she had come to know that the Monastery itself was orchestrating all these things with the help of the aristocracy and was trying to overthrow the royal family.
Understanding that, most probably after the assassination failed, they had sent someone else inside.
"I understand," the cloaked woman gave a nod as her figure blurred.
Visibly, her body changed into light streaks as she dashed directly within the room with two kunai arriving in both of her hands.
’Sigh, I need to first deal with the people from the monastery.’
Relaxing herself as she analyzed the situation, she understood that to stabilize the whole kingdom, she needed to first deal with the monastery.
Afterward, she would have to confront those noblemen who acted cowardly.
Even though until now she had been using them to keep check on the king, who possessed an impure bloodline, it now appeared that she needed to show those cowards their true place.
"MOTHER! SAVE ME!"
A sound resonated from within the room, causing her eyes to snap open.
Swiftly standing in her bathtub, she looked towards the room.
Through the gap of the door, which was ajar, her mouth twitched as she saw a man lying on the ground.
His hand was tucked behind his head, being held by a cloaked woman who was pointing a kunai directly at his back.
He was looking straight towards the bathroom, while his one hand was stretched towards her.
"Help....Ahem, Sorry for those hickeys," Akhil, who was on the ground, flashed a smile as his eyes met with the woman inside the bathtub.
She was naked, with her body clearly visible from the open door, holding several hickey marks that prompted him to just apologize.
