Left with no choice, Lady Zhang discussed it with Lian Manman.

Lian Manman glanced at Lady Gu and Lian Huahua. The old saying goes, ’a favor received is like a slice of your independence given away.’ It seemed that Lian Huahua was determined to make her accept the gifts before she could be at ease.

Lian Manman did not want Lian Huahua’s gifts. However, she knew that, with someone like Huahua, if you didn’t accept her gifts, she would think you weren’t sincerely agreeing to her requests.
