I enjoyed the hot chocolate I ordered with a bunch of delicious donuts and cupcakes. All delicious meals that we can easily buy and order around here with no problems at all. Even without considering everything else we want to save and the people we care for from this world, if we can somehow save this world and keep it in this floor for us to visit any time, this would be an incredible boost for us, being able to easily enter this world full of modern technology and resources, food and everything else! It could improve my little village and perhaps even the entirety of Yggdrasil as a whole.

The cultural exchange would be kind of crazy though, I can't imagine that going well without proper mediators and strong representatives of each world, it'll be quite difficult, but well, this is all hypothetical for now. We need to first win and save the world before we ever think about the benefits and difficulties that'll come with that.

After taking our decision, everyone nodded and then we just ate everything we ordered, it was a big feast of pastries and delicious hot drinks, we couldn't have enough, devouring everything like rabid, starving dogs.

"You guys eat like you've never eaten donuts or cupcakes before…" Sofia appeared by our side; the barrier was already gone. "Were you that hungry?"

"They're good!" Nyx said, eating one of each at the same time. "Nam, nam, nam!"

"As she said, they're really tasty…" Emeraldine nodded. "Hmm, so sweet…"

"Uh, okay, I'm going to assume you guys just never ate pastries before, which is weird," Sofia said. "Anyways Maria, we wanted to discuss what we would do tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" I wondered.

"Yeah, tomorrow's the open field exploration," said Sofia. "We'll go on groups to explore Nightmare Fields that had been infested with Nightmare Realms."

"Wait, what? There are such things in this island?" I asked.

"Not the island, but there's several small islands around this one where they're located," said Sofia. "Far away enough that they don't affect the main island, but varied enough that multiple teams can explore them."

"I see…" I nodded.

So there's things as Nightmare Fields, where a Nightmare Realm had burst like a bubble and infected a huge open area with their Nightmare Miasma, twisting it in some way? I should investigate that on my phone.

"So are you inviting Martina?" I wondered.

"Yeah these parties happen to be possible cross-class," said Sofia. "So we were thinking, it'll be a party of six… So you, Alma, Emily, Martina, and me, we make five. We'll need one more, you could invite someone else."

"Aaah… Hmm."

I wished I could go with my family instead, but I also want to go with Sofia!

I guess I'll simply divide myself into Egos to go with everyone else anyways.

"Sure, sounds good to me," I nodded. "Who wants to go with me?"

"Me! Me! Me!" Nyx said, she was the first to raise her hand. "I wanna go with mam- I mean big sis…!"

"Why does the sister of Lucifer call you big sister? I've always wondered that," said Sofia.

"Just a little thing she does, don't worry," I said. "Sure, you can come along Nyx. You don't mind her? She's a cutie and won't bother anybody."

"I-I wasn't planning on bringing a child… but sure? She was very strong," nodded Sofia. "Okay!"

"Nice," I nodded. "Alright Nyx, you're coming with me!"

"Yaaay!" Nyx nodded happily.

Nobody really opposed her coming along, and they preferred my daughter to be with me than anything else.

"Then we'll make parties between us too," said Emeraldine. "I suppose we could invite some of our new friends as well? Maybe to make things more fun and spend time with them."

"I guess we could… Hm," nodded Lucifer. "We'll need their help in the future."

We had also discussed how these very talented students could all become valuable allies and guardians of the island once shit comes down, because it will certainly happen in the last days.

And how long do we have for the last days? Well, this is the third day I think, right? Tomorrow is the fourth day, we got four days, probably two.

I bet the last two days will be chaotic, whatever happens…

If the entire world is forced to reset, then a world-wife cataclysm occurs, for sure.

A powerful Curse enough to destroy the entire world…

And whatever force is keeping it from being destroyed, as it resets.

Wait…

Is this reset not the Tower itself, but provoked by the world?

Someone somewhere is making the world reset when it becomes completely destroyed.

Maybe engulfed by the Nightmares, finally?

So the Nightmares are a Curse born from Humanity's own dark minds, sins, and dark desires.

A Curse so deadly and strong it created this monstrous cataclysm that caused Nightmare Realms to manifest everywhere.

Then there's… this person, or thing, resetting the world once the Nightmares engulf it all.

And then there's us, replacing many characters completely, we even replace memories of them somehow, and people can't truly remember the original ones we replace.

This could be coincidence or something.

Or maybe not!

What if…

What if the price that the world has to pay every time it is reset by whoever is doing it…

Is for a certain amount of people to be permanently deleted from existence?

This would give it some sense to the reason why there's so many people missing we've replaced, and there are probably even more.

So the reset can't fully save humanity, it is only delaying their demise, slowly, over time, as the world of Blue Star resets.

Eventually… all of humanity will be erased.

It's a miraculous power, but with a double edge to it.

Well, this is all a theory, I can't find proof of all these conjectures yet, but from everything I've learned so far, this is really quite… it could be the truth maybe.

I mean, for now I guess I shouldn't-
