Rebirth: The Heiress Plans Her Revenge-Chapter 230: Meeting Wu Tang II
Chapter 230: Chapter 230: Meeting Wu Tang II
Song Recommendation: All Eyes On Me By Jisoo
Wu Tang clenched his fists tightly on hearing what she had to say. But his face still had a calm look to it, and it made people unable to guess what was going on in his mind.
"So why have you called me? No, it should be where my kids are?" Xin Yan asked with her hands folded.
"Will you remain calm? I suggest you remain calm, besides, I was the one who invited you here, surely, I will inform you about my intentions, won’t I?"
Wu Tang asked with a smile as he tried to lean closer to her, but Xin Yan was quick to move away, maintaining a distance between her and Wu Tang.
She glared at Wu Tang, who returned to his original position with a satisfied smile on his face. He was happy he was able to ruffle her feathers, or so he thought.
"Why don’t we order something? You might be parched, and I do not want my guest which is you to have such an experience, I value hospitality greatly," Wu Tang smiled as he signaled for the barista to come.
Xin Yan remained quiet. She seemed to have realized that she could not escape having coffee with him. She let out a deep breath, trying to console herself.
"What is wrong? Is the air in the room that bad? I can ask them to adjust it to your liking," Wu Tang suggested with a worried look upon seeing her pale and sweaty face.
"No, don’t worry, I feel fine," Xin Yan replied as she swallowed heavily. She had no idea why, but she got bad vibes from the room. If her instincts were not wrong, then something was surely going to happen.
And what might happen will surely not favor her at all.
"Are you sure? You know you are my guest, and I will listen to you, it doesn’t matter if the request is ridiculous, as long as you want me to do it, then I will do it," Wu Tang immediately stated.
Xin Yan’s ears perked up at his words. She would use his words to her advantage.
"Anything I want?" She asked as she narrowed her eyes at him.
He nodded at once, and she smiled. Wu Tang frowned, feeling that something was wrong somewhere.
He searched his previous words, and found out that nothing was wrong with it, so he pushed the fear and uncertainty away.
"I want you to return my children to me, I know it won’t be difficult for you," Xin Yan lowered her head as she demanded. She played with her purse as she waited for his reply.
Wu Tang froze. Now he realized why he felt his words had a loophole in it.
"I am sorry, but I cannot grant that particular request of yours," Wu Tang had a regretful look on his face as he looked at Xin Yan who did not flinch a bit.
She seemed to have expected this, so she did not feel disappointed. She had learned not to trust anything uttered by Wu Tang.
"You do not seem surprised, were you anticipating my answer?" Wu Tang queried.
"Of course, I am aware you can never agree to my request, so there is no need for me to feel any surprise," Xin Yan replied nonchalantly.
Wu Tang cleared his throat awkwardly. He had no idea that Xin Yan would have such a bad impression about him. But then again, it was his fault.
He had not truly done anything which could warrant Xin Yan to trust any word he says.
"I guess I have already established a horrible reputation in your sight," Wu Tang joked and laughed, but Xin Yan did not find it funny
"Cut straight to the point, why did you call for this meeting?" Xin Yan did not want to beat around the bush. She looked at her wristwatch, she felt that time was going at a fast pace.
"I didn’t call you to discuss, I just wanted us to know each other more because I believe we would be working on future projects together," Wu Tang smiled at her, and she frowned, wondering what he meant by that.
"What do you mean by that?" Xin Yan asked almost immediately.
"You will find out eventually, for now, let’s make a toast to future partnerships," Wu Tang cheered, and it just so happens that the barista came over with the cups of coffee.
"Since you have nothing to talk about, I guess I should take my leave," Xin Yan could not stand being in the same room again, and she blamed herself for accepting his invitation.
He simply wasted her time. Their meeting was meaningless, she was unable to make head or tail as to why he asked to see her.
"Good bye Wu Tang, but before I go, I want to see my children today, I don’t care if you are doing it for the sake of your son, but I want my kids to return to me, I hope you understand what I am saying," Xin Yan instructed as she looked down at him with cold eyes.
Seeing that he did not say anything again, she walked out of the café with the guards. She felt her brain cells reduced just by speaking with him.
"Boss, why did you not stop her from leaving," Bo stepped out from a hidden corner as he asked the question.
"Xin Yan is different from Tang Mei, you cannot hold nor control Xin Yan, she is feisty, which is one of the reasons I am drawn to her," Wu Tang replied, a smile dancing on his lips as he thought about the confidence she displayed earlier on.
"But boss, she showed disrespect to you, won’t you get angry at that?" Bo asked, this was the first time he was seeing his boss have a smile on his face even after being insulted by someone.
"She is entitled to disrespect me, she is the only one with that right, it is only a matter of time before I snatch her from Li Qiang, remember, she will be our future Madam, so you need to respect her," Wu Tang smiled as he daydreamed about the day when he will finally conquer Xin Yan.
