Seeing the sender’s name on it, she was stunned; it was Ding Hongye.

Yunyi walked over, smiling: "You’ve tempted all the kids in the residential compound."

Yunyi laughed: "I yelled, and they all ran away."

Yunyi placed the package on the table next to the kitchen wall: "It’s from a patient I treated before."

Huo Jiayuan blurted out: "Is it a man or a woman?"

She then pointed to where the sender’s name was: "See for yourself."

Huo Jiayuan suddenly remembered the food on the stove: "My food, my food."

She quickly jogged over to the stove and stirred the dish a few times: "We’ll eat when my brother gets back." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

Yunyi responded and opened the package on the table, revealing a cashmere sweater inside. Such things were rare now, and she thought: This is too generous.

Beneath it was a letter, which said Ding Hongye learned about her upcoming wedding from a classmate, and mentioned she was now living in Hai City with her mother’s family, who treated her very well.

The cashmere sweater was bought at the Hai City Department Store as a wedding gift for her, hoping she would accept it. The letter also included her current address, asking her to write back when she had time, and once again expressing gratitude for her help back then.

After reading the letter, Yunyi’s mind was filled with images of Ding Hongye. With the care of her family, the ugly duckling had long transformed into a swan. She was genuinely happy for her.

Huo Jiayuan saw the cashmere sweater in Yunyi’s hand: "Fourth Sister-in-law, this sweater is perfect for you to wear at your wedding. The color is just right."

She reached out to touch it but then pulled her hand back quickly, thinking it might be oily.

Just as the two sisters-in-law were talking, they heard someone push the front door open.

Yunyi peeked outside and saw Huo Jingrui coming in with a fish weighing about two pounds: "Where did the fish come from?"
