Rebirth: The Ascent of a Socialite-Chapter 596 - 244: Compensation
"Responsible to the end?" Pello shook his head, "Has Molin ever told you that she signed a ten-year contract? In just over half a year, the other company has already invested over one million in her. Not to mention the losses ZARA suffered because of her that haven’t yet been calculated."
"Over one million?" Su Ziceng wasn’t familiar with the dark side of the entertainment industry, but it didn’t mean she could be easily swindled, "That’s impossible. I’ve asked Molin; she never received her full appearance fees—the agency must have been withholding her money in secret. Moreover, arranging underage models to accompany clients for drinks, if this news gets out, it would be bad for everyone. Anyway, Molin has decided to no longer pursue her career in modeling, she can go back to the United States and start over."
Without any hesitation, Su Ziceng laid out the analysis of the situation clearly. If Pello were representing the Japanese side, he would choose to keep the peace too.
Pello’s gaze deepened. He originally wanted to use this incident to coerce Su Ziceng into submission, but her reaction now was like a fully-armored hedgehog.
"So, don’t think you can use this to suppress me. I won’t fall for your tricks again," Su Ziceng said with growing confidence. It turns out that after experiencing so much, she was no longer the weak and pale Su Ziceng.
"Very good," Pello whistled, as if in praise, yet it also sounded like mockery. If he and Su Ziceng were merely straightforward rivals, at this moment he should feel his blood boiling with enthusiasm—for it was he who had made Su Ziceng into what she was today. She was now more imposing than ever.
"Also, thank you for taking care of my father all this time. I think everything has come to an end now, and I have enough capability to take him back." Su Ziceng spoke up in one breath. She didn’t want to have to get Pello’s permission whenever she visited her father. She had not dared to take Su Qingzhang back earlier due to the problem of debt collectors, but now with the debts postponed, she could begin to repay the interest. After Qiao Zhizhi and her daughter left, the apartment she had rented would be vacant, and she could remodel it—a minor renovation to make it wheelchair accessible would suffice.
"Oh," Pello and Su Ziceng were standing in a dark corridor. As dusk approached, the sunshine retreated behind the tall trees of the Su Family, and the servants had not yet had time to turn on the lights in the corridor. Pello stood with his back to the light, making it hard for Su Ziceng to see the expression on his face.
A light laugh echoed through the corridor, sending a shiver down Su Ziceng’s spine. Her hand was pulled, and as she struggled, the Rose Handbook fell to the ground. The hard corner of the book hit the carpet, denting one corner.
"You said you want to take Su Qingzhang away, right? Then how do you plan to compensate me for my losses during this period?" Pello pulled Su Ziceng hard into his bedroom, a room that once belonged to Su Ziceng.
Subconsciously, Su Ziceng replied, "I can pay you back." All medical expenses, nursing care costs, and nutritional costs incurred by Su Qingzhang during this period could all be settled with him.
"Do you think I need money that much?" Inside the room, the lighting was somewhat better than in the corridor, allowing Su Ziceng to clearly see Pello’s expression—half teasing and half serious.
Su Ziceng’s gaze fell around the bedroom, which was mostly unchanged from when she left, even the magazines on the bedside table remained untouched.
"Is it exactly the same as it was, as when you were here? I had it preserved on purpose, making sure not to spoil anything." Pello’s touch and voice were equally gentle, as his face came close to Su Ziceng’s, the freshly shaved stubble making it uncomfortable for her. She tried to turn her face away and move backward, only to find that the door behind her was already closed.
The sun setting in the west made the room feel slightly stuffy. Su Ziceng pushed against the door, trying to find the doorknob; she should be dashing out now, but Pello’s hand was quicker, grabbing her wrists instead. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Your room, your scent. I have been living in this room for over half a year, always feeling something is missing," Pello murmured, as a hint of sweat emerged on Su Ziceng’s hands out of fear.
"Pello, let me go," Su Ziceng’s voice involuntarily began to tremble.
"I haven’t forced you into anything, Ziceng," Pello spoke as his breath caressed Su Ziceng’s face, slowly tracing up—her forehead, the corners of her eyes, the side of her mouth—completely outlining Su Ziceng’s face.
"You can take Su Qingzhang away, but you have to give me some compensation," Pello’s voice took on a strange fervor as his hands slid to Su Ziceng’s waist, lifting the hem of her clothing.
The smoothness of her skin against the roughness of his fingertips made Su Ziceng flinch, understanding Pello’s intention.
As Su Ziceng’s silence continued and Pello’s actions persisted, her clothes fell to the ground. When Su Ziceng closed her eyes and was carried to the bed, she still didn’t open them.
Compared to the last time, Pello was more patient. On her body was the blazing heat of the man, moist and soft kisses began from her abdomen, and one by one the constraints on her chest and body were released.
"Open your eyes," Pello gently tapped her cheek, his tone no longer like before. Su Ziceng kept her eyes closed; if she opened them now, uncontrollable tears would pour out.
Body tensing, she arched upwards as he entered her fervently, as if to punish her noncompliance, the invasion almost felt like plundering.
In the room, the man’s panting and the woman’s suppressed sounds mixed together. Outside, night was quietly descending. (To be continued. If you like this work, welcome to Qidian (qidian.com) to cast your recommendation tickets and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation.)
