Rebirth of the Cultivation Devil-Chapter 1107 - 1032: Hunting Down the Assassin
"What are you doing here? Hurry up and leave, don’t get in my way."
Lan Ji saw Ye Qingfeng approaching and hurriedly shouted.
These people are all assassins. She was already struggling to fight two alone, and if this guy caused more trouble, she would have no chance of winning.
She was most annoyed by these young masters, who were useless and caused chaos at crucial moments.
"You need to leave quickly, it’s very dangerous here. They’re all deadly assassins, and if they decide to kill you later, I won’t be able to protect you!" Lan Ji shouted, trying to get Ye Qingfeng to leave and not affect her.
Ye Qingfeng didn’t have time to waste talking with Lan Ji. He wasn’t here to help her; he was worried these two might defeat her and then attack Yun Xi.
"Swish!" "Swish!"
A white light suddenly appeared in the dark night, followed by blood spurting into the air. The four arms of these two people were immediately severed, falling directly to the ground.
"Ah!!"
The two assassins screamed instantly. Though trained to endure pain, the sudden severing of their arms was so painful they couldn’t endure it.
"What happened?" Lan Ji froze, not understanding what was happening.
She had been fighting them for a while without catching them and ended up getting injured instead. How did their arms get severed as soon as this person arrived?
Lan Ji only saw the cold glow in the night and didn’t see Ye Qingfeng make a move.
Ye Qingfeng had no intention of wasting words with Lan Ji. The arms of these two were gone, so they couldn’t harm Yun Xi anymore. He turned and ran.
He needed to chase the assassin with the sniper rifle.
"Hey, you stop, who exactly are you?" Lan Ji shouted. She knew Ye Qingfeng, but now found him too mysterious.
Lan Ji intended to chase Ye Qingfeng, but upon turning around, she found that this guy was moving so fast that he disappeared into the night.
She turned her head to see that there were still two assassins here. She couldn’t ignore them, besides she needed to protect Yun Xi and didn’t have time to chase after him.
Lan Ji walked over, and the two assassins were now helpless with their arms severed, unable to escape.
She took out handcuffs intending to restrain them but realized there was no way to cuff them without arms.
As soon as Ye Qingfeng disappeared into the night, he got on his Flying Sword; it was night, so no one would notice him.
He slightly concealed his figure using Spiritual Energy, flying invisibly in the sky.
He must catch that assassin, who was much stronger than the others, and felt like he was targeting him.
Ye Qingfeng’s eyes flashed with cold light; the assassin organization dared to come for him. He planned to kill that assassin and uproot the organization!
In the night sky, Ye Qingfeng rode the sword, his hair fluttering in the wind, and his pure white shirt billowed.
This scene, if seen by a little girl, would probably cause instant infatuation.
Ye Qingfeng fully expanded his Divine Sense, starting to search for that assassin. He had been delayed, making it harder to find him, especially since the assassin was skilled in hiding his presence.
So Ye Qingfeng needed to be careful, slowing down his speed.
"Xiao Mei, I think I saw someone just now." Two fashionably dressed girls were walking down the street when suddenly, a taller girl spoke.
"Someone? What kind of person?" Xiao Mei, the called girl, paused in surprise, looking around hurriedly.
Though evening lights were bright, two young, pretty girls walking down the street always felt unsafe; she thought someone was following them.
"He’s gone now, he was so fast." The tall girl said again.
"Ah? Liuying, what are you talking about? I don’t get it. Who did you see and where?" Xiao Mei was puzzled, not understanding her friend’s words.
"I saw—up in the sky." Liuying, the tall girl, murmured.
"In the sky?" Xiao Mei was completely confused. Liuying’s words were strange; she couldn’t comprehend them.
"Xiao Mei, I just saw someone flying up in the sky." Liuying finally came to her senses, grabbed Xiao Mei, and said.
"Ah, Liuying, you must be drunk; no one’s flying in the sky. You must be dreaming." Xiao Mei said, speechless, realizing what she was talking about.
Someone flew in the sky?
Seems she’s seen too many superhero movies.
"Seriously, Xiao Mei, trust me, I really saw someone fly in the sky. He seemed to stand on a Flying Sword like in a Xianxia drama, moving so fast, flashing out of sight." Liuying said excitedly; she truly saw it. He seemed to pause briefly before noticing her and flying away.
"Come on, you’re talking nonsense; you must be tired. Let’s head back and sleep." Xiao Mei laughed; she obviously didn’t believe it, not crazy enough to.
Xiao Mei shrugged and walked ahead.
Knowing her friend didn’t believe her, Liuying had no choice, but she was certain she saw him. Who could he be? Immortal? Monster? Hero?
Liuying’s mind was overloaded, never having encountered such a shocking event.
"And, seems quite handsome..." Liuying murmured.
"Stop daydreaming, hurry up," Xiao Mei urged ahead.
Standing on his Flying Sword, Ye Qingfeng descended from high altitude. He had sensed the assassin’s location, so stopped briefly, realizing someone had seen him.
Ye Qingfeng glanced at the two playful young girls and shook his head lightly. They weren’t from the same world; his appearance was an incredible impossibility for their ordinary lives.
Ye Qingfeng quickly withdrew his gaze, eyes turning cold. His Divine Sense had locked onto the assassin, ready to close the net.
At this moment, Liuying turned her head and saw the flying person again.
This time she saw it clearly; it was too fantastical, how could it be! Liuying felt her world turned upside-down.
"Xiao Mei, look, look!" Liuying called excitedly.
Ye Qingfeng didn’t hesitate anymore; a white flash and he chased the assassin!
"What to look at? There’s nothing there!" Xiao Mei said strangely.
"How did he disappear? I just saw him; really a man flying in the sky, quite handsome." Liuying stated seriously.
