Rebirth: My Reclusive Husband Helps Me Get Revenge!-Chapter 53: If you want my help, give me your body
Yu Jia sat in the back of her car, her jaw clenched tightly as the city lights blurred past the window. Her anger was a storm brewing beneath her composed exterior, and her desperation was pushing her to the brink.
Lixue’s defiance was unacceptable—she needed to regain control, no matter the cost.
Her fingers tapped anxiously on the leather seat as she thought about the man she’d just called. He was dangerous, manipulative, and demanded payment in the form of favors she absolutely loathed to give.
But she didn’t have many options. Lixue’s marriage to Mo Ran had complicated everything, and she needed someone who could match that level of power and influence.
The car pulled up to the Continental Hotel, a lavish building glowing with golden lights. Yu Jia’s stomach churned as she stepped out, adjusting her dress and throwing on a mask. Inside, the lobby was bustling with wealthy guests.
But she ignored them, heading straight to the private elevators. She punched in the code he had given her, and the doors closed with a soft hiss.
When she reached the designated suite, the door opened before she could knock.
Standing there was Liang Cheng, a man with sharp features and a cold, calculating gaze. He was dressed casually, but there was nothing casual about the air of dominance he exuded.
Yu Jia sat stiffly in the suite’s plush armchair, her fingers clutching the hem of her designer dress. Liang Cheng leaned against the bar, his smirk growing wider as he observed her discomfort. He set his glass down and walked over to her, his presence overwhelming as he towered above her.
"You know the deal, Yu Jia," Liang said, his voice low and mocking. "If you want my help, you’ll have to pay the price. And we both know what that is."
Yu Jia’s jaw tightened. She hated this arrangement, hated him, but she was out of options. Forcing herself to stay composed, she stood up and met his gaze. "Fine. Let’s get this over with."
Liang’s grin widened, and he grabbed her wrist, pulling her roughly toward the bedroom. The door slammed shut behind them, and what followed was a whirlwind of humiliation and pain. Liang Cheng was rough, demanding, and unapologetically cruel, treating her like nothing more than a means to release his sexual tension.
Yu Jia bit her lip to keep from crying out, her body trembling under his relentless grip. She hated every second, but she endured it, knowing it was the price she had to pay.
When it was finally over, Yu Jia laid on the bed, her body aching and her pride shattered.
Liang Cheng lit a cigarette, exhaling a cloud of smoke as he leaned back against the headboard, looking utterly satisfied.
"So," he said lazily, glancing at her. "What exactly do you want me to do?"
Yu Jia pushed herself up, her voice cold and steady despite the pain. "Lixue’s mother is in the hospital. Kidnap her. Hold her somewhere until Lixue gives me what I need."
Liang Cheng raised an eyebrow, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. "Kidnapping an old woman? That’s low, even for you."
"Do you have a problem with that?" Yu Jia snapped, glaring at him. "You’re getting paid, aren’t you? Just do it."
Liang chuckled, shaking his head. "Fair enough. Consider it done. But you better hope this plan of yours works. If it doesn’t, you’re on your own...it’ll be so sad."
"It will work," Yu Jia said firmly, her eyes burning with determination. "Lixue won’t have a choice."
Liang Cheng smirked, flicking ash from his cigarette onto the floor. "Alright, then. I’ll make the arrangements. But remember, Yu Jia—this is the last time you get my help without giving me something extra in return. But for now you’ll sleep with me everyday until your dear older sister have given you what you want."
Yu Jia clenched her fists, her hatred for him only fueling her resolve. "Just get it done."
Liang Cheng nodded, already pulling out his phone to make the necessary calls. As Yu Jia got dressed, she avoided looking at him, focusing instead on the thought of Lixue’s eventual surrender. This was her only chance to regain control, and she wouldn’t let it slip away.
As she left the suite, her heels clicking against the marble floor, Yu Jia felt a sick sense of satisfaction. It didn’t matter what it took or who got hurt in the process.
As long as she got what she wanted!
Yu Jia exited the hotel, her face carefully composed despite the turmoil churning within her. She slid into the waiting car and gave the driver a curt nod, her fingers trembling slightly as she clenched her purse.
Her mind raced, replaying every word of the plan she had just set into motion. She couldn’t afford any mistakes. If Liang Cheng failed or if Lixue proved more stubborn than she anticipated, everything she’d worked for would come crashing down.
As she sped toward the Yu family mansion, Yu Jia’s phone buzzed with a message from Liang Cheng:
"Everything’s set. Expect an update by tomorrow."
Her heart pounded, a mixture of anticipation and dread settling in her chest. The stakes had never been higher, but she reassured herself with the thought of Lixue’s inevitable surrender.
Evening at arrived and Lixue still sat in the garden, her notebook resting on her lap. The serene environment around her—the soft hum of the wind and the delicate fragrance of flowers—did little to nothing in easing her mind.
The tense encounter with Yu Jia earlier weighed heavily on her.
As she traced her fingers over the necklace Mo Ran had given her, a faint smile tugged at her lips. The small piece of jewelry was a comforting reminder of the stability she now had in her life.
But even with Mo Ran away on business in Country C, Lixue couldn’t shake the feeling that something was brewing. Yu Jia’s desperation had always been palpable, and Lixue knew better than to underestimate her half-sister’s cunning mind.
Lost in thought, Lixue didn’t notice the quiet footsteps approaching until a shadow fell over her.
"Thinking about me?" a deep, familiar voice teased.
Startled, she looked up to see Mo Ran standing there, his tall figure casting a protective presence over her. His dark eyes held a mixture of warmth and amusement as he took in her surprised expression.
