Mu Qiancheng watched Jiang Xue wake up and, instead of responding, held her small hand and said, "Xue’er, I miss you!"

And so the couple fell asleep again until about nine o’clock when they woke up once more.

After washing up and going downstairs, Little Reunion had already been taken out by Father Jiang to play. There was a small playground for children in the neighborhood, and after Father Jiang discovered it, he took Little Reunion there every day.

There were a lot of other children there, which Little Reunion really liked.

"Up already? Niu’s gone to buy groceries, breakfast is still warm in the pot, help yourselves." Mrs. Jiang was arranging flowers and greeted Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng as they got up, then returned to her work.

Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng exchanged a look and went into the kitchen together to bring out breakfast.

After breakfast, Father Jiang came back with Little Reunion. So, Mu Qiancheng took his son in his arms and said to Father Jiang and Mrs. Jiang, "Dad, Mom, Xue’er has the day off today, let’s all go out and have some fun."

"Sure!" The elders happily agreed; they hadn’t had a chance to go out since coming to South City.

"Then let’s go now. I’ll let Niu know later that we won’t be back for lunch." Mu Qiancheng said, while holding his son and getting ready to leave.

Mrs. Jiang saw Mu Qiancheng was ready to leave just like that and laughed, saying, "If we’re going out, shouldn’t we take some things? How about bringing some water and some snacks for Little Reunion?"

"Mom, I’ve already got it ready, don’t worry about it." Jiang Xue smiled, lifted the bag she was holding to show Mrs. Jiang.

"So you guys had it all planned out." Mrs. Jiang laughed, gave Father Jiang a glance, and said, "Old man, since there’s nothing to prepare, let’s go then."

The family of five happily headed out. On the way, they happened to meet Niu coming back from grocery shopping, so Jiang Xue said to Niu, "Niu, our family is going out to play, we won’t be back for lunch, so take half the day off."
