Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 786: Mind Reading Technique
Sophie Wilson looked helplessly at the disconnected phone and sighed lightly, "These days, even telling the truth doesn’t get you believed."
Sophie Wilson entered the house and saw Charles Seymour waiting in the living room. She changed her shoes, smiled, and rushed over, directly jumping onto him, "Oh my... Mr. Seymour, I’ve missed you so much."
Sophie’s enthusiasm made Charles Seymour’s face darken as he coldly asked, "What’s going on?"
"I just went to have dinner with Lucy," Sophie Wilson began to play dumb.
Charles Seymour smiled, a very faint smile, which, despite his good looks, gave Sophie a shiver. She poked his lips with her finger hesitantly, "Um... your smile is a bit scary..."
After hearing this, Charles Seymour’s smile grew wider.
Sophie Wilson tried to jump down from him but... failed.
His arm was like it was made of iron, encircling her waist, not budging an inch.
Sophie Wilson pouted and said helplessly, "Okay, okay, I’ll change my clothes and then talk to you."
As soon as she said this, she immediately felt his grip loosen.
She sighed lightly in her heart, feeling quite resigned.
Dominating.
"Yes, dominating." Charles Seymour spoke, startling Sophie Wilson so much that she almost jumped. How did he know what she was thinking?
Could it be that he knows mind reading techniques?
"No." Charles Seymour smoothly replied, seeing Sophie Wilson’s eyes widen in surprise like a startled kitten, which made his hands itch. Unable to resist, and without intending to, he reached out and ruffled her hair.
"Everything you think is written all over your face." Charles Seymour’s lips curved into a smile; she always hid her thoughts well, but in front of him, she let her guard down.
"I’m going to change clothes." Sophie Wilson pursed her lips and sulked upstairs, wondering why it always felt like he took advantage of her and still acted innocent.
After changing her clothes, Sophie Wilson opened the door and saw Charles Seymour standing there with freshly squeezed juice, yogurt with fruits, and a small plate of fries.
The little bit of annoyance she felt earlier instantly disappeared. Seeing how attentive he was, she decided to let it go.
Charles Seymour brought the food in, placed it down, and watched Sophie Wilson start eating before he asked, "What happened?"
Wasn’t it Lucy Wells who asked Sophie out for dinner today?
The two of them wouldn’t have quarreled, so what happened in between?
"Chaya Davis wanted to set me up." Sophie Wilson ate two fries and put a slice of apple into Charles Seymour’s mouth.
He ate happily as well.
"Hmm." Charles Seymour nodded. Given what happened to Ophelia Wilson, it was normal for Chaya Davis to be restless.
"She found four men to corner me and wanted to shoot a little movie." Sophie Wilson spoke very subtly, but Charles Seymour understood.
"I gave those four men a good beating and then had them make a film starring Chaya Davis and Ophelia Wilson," Sophie Wilson said with a smile, taking a sip of juice.
"You wouldn’t believe how insidious they were, they even prepared drugs. Ugh, it was to make it look like I was willing. So shameless!" Sophie Wilson felt nauseated at the thought.
"I didn’t hold back either; I had those four men tie them up and use the drugs on the mother and daughter." Sophie Wilson got angry at the mention of this.
She had been hiding in the hallway all along, and she heard clearly what Ophelia Wilson and Chaya Davis were excitedly talking about.
