Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 671: Is It a Bit Too Fast
Dear darling?
The only person Sophie Wilson would call that is... everyone turned around in unison, and sure enough, there stood a man with a cold demeanor that rivaled snowy peaks.
Exceptionally handsome, yet exuding an aura that kept others at a distance.
Others felt a chill just looking at him, but Sophie wasn’t afraid at all. She leapt forward and jumped right onto him.
Charles Seymour extended his long arms and caught Sophie steadily. Seeing her so cheerful, it was clear she hadn’t been bullied and had enjoyed herself.
He finally put his mind at ease, bounced her gently, and asked, "Did you have fun?" 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
"Yeah, it was so much fun," Sophie nodded happily.
David Green stayed silent. Wasn’t it fun? She smacked Hayley Cole’s face thoroughly and completely overwhelmed her—of course, Sophie would be in a good mood.
"Then, come play again next time; shall we go home for now?" Charles tentatively asked.
"Okay," Sophie agreed readily, then turned to Kai Bright and said, "Cousin, I’ll leave Lucy to you; I’m heading home with Mr. Seymour."
"Sure, have a good trip," Kai replied immediately.
If Sophie didn’t leave, Charles Seymour’s icy presence could freeze everyone there to death. Didn’t you notice how the temperature plummeted as soon as Charles arrived? It was about to hit freezing point.
Finally, they sent this distinguished guest off. Just as Kai turned to continue playing with Lucy, David pulled him back: "Young Master Bright, was Mr. Seymour supposed to come over?"
"No," Kai said proudly as he pulled out his phone. "I saw something wasn’t right and texted him to come rescue us."
David was even more surprised: "Was Mr. Seymour nearby?"
"How could he be?" Kai chuckled, "He doesn’t have a habit of monitoring Sophie, he just rushed over."
David: "Isn’t Mr. Seymour driving a bit too fast?"
He calculated the distance and time—the timing of Charles’s arrival was clearly not reasonable.
"Well, he does have a skilled driver," Kai said, patting David’s shoulder. "But it’s just a minor issue, why make such a big deal out of it? Don’t worry, I’m taking Lucy to play."
With that, Kai led Lucy away, leaving David to stand bewildered in the wind.
No matter how skilled the driver is, they couldn’t arrive that quickly, right?
Unless Mr. Seymour’s driver has racing skills, top-notch ones at that.
Otherwise, how could it be?
——
Sophie got into the car and didn’t need Charles to ask. She blurted out everything that had happened earlier, only afterward asking indignantly, "Don’t you think it’s annoying that she said you’re blind?"
"Hmph, your eyes are perfectly fine, where’s the blindness?" After expressing her outrage, Sophie then smiled smugly, "I totally blinded her! Teach her a lesson for looking down on people!"
The driver in the front silently gave Miss Wilson a thumbs-up in his heart. To even dare defy the daughter of Chairman Cole—Miss Wilson truly has remarkable courage.
Perhaps Miss Wilson wasn’t aware of Hayley Cole’s identity; his boss should probably inform her.
Sure enough, right after Sophie finished, Charles spoke up, "By doing this..."
The driver repeatedly nodded in agreement in secret. Yes, yes... Miss Wilson acted a bit impulsively. Even if dealing with an ’enemy’, one should at least check the other party’s identity first.
