Rebirth: Clinging to My Possessive Magnate-Chapter 649: Any Problems
Charles Seymour’s attitude was so firm that they didn’t dare say much. It was obvious he was the type to stick to a decision and never change it. Now all they needed to do was stay out of his way.
"No." Charles refused bluntly, "I don’t like light dishes, they’re too bland."
Ralap Lee: "..."
If he had known earlier, he would have booked a Sichuan restaurant!
It was at that moment that Charles’s phone rang. Ralap Lee and the others watched in disbelief as the previously icy figure instantly softened, his "Hello" on the call brimming with charm.
"Okay, I’ll go over with Grandpa now." After hanging up the phone, Charles turned to Old Mr. Seymour, "Sophie is waiting for us at the Cantonese restaurant nearby, let’s head over."
"Okay." Old Mr. Seymour readily agreed at the mention of Sophie Wilson.
Ralap Lee: "..."
Can someone please tell him how big the difference is between light dishes and Cantonese cuisine?
So much for not liking bland food!
So much for not changing his mind once he’s decided!
"Miss Wilson must really have some charm to get Charles, who doesn’t like bland food, to eat Cantonese." Ralap Lee teased with a laugh, "Looks like there’s a chance for a collaboration between Peace Group and Seymour Corporation in the future."
Anyway, he’s not giving up. With Charles Seymour as such a big backer, he really can’t let it go.
Charles looked at Ralap Lee coldly and stated firmly, "Without Sophie, nothing is possible."
Ralap Lee: "..."
"Charles really dotes on his wife. They’re not even married yet, and his wife can already influence the company’s affairs." Ralap Lee chuckled awkwardly.
In truth, he felt a bit aggrieved. Wasn’t Charles Seymour’s preferential treatment a bit too much? 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Naturally." When mentioning Sophie Wilson, Charles’s gaze softened, filled with affection, "Peace Group belongs to Sophie, of course, it should follow her lead."
Ralap Lee exclaimed, "Was the document at the engagement party real?"
Not just Ralap Lee; other board members in the room perked up their ears and craned their necks, waiting for Charles’s answer.
Charles looked at them quite puzzled, "Why would it be fake?"
It was such a big deal!
Ralap Lee really wished he could shout it out.
"Charles, aren’t you spoiling your wife a bit too much? Besides, Miss Wilson hasn’t even married you yet." Ralap Lee really didn’t know what else to say.
"If I don’t spoil Sophie, who would I spoil?" Charles slightly frowned, finding Ralap Lee’s words completely unreasonable.
Ralap Lee knew he couldn’t persuade Charles, so he turned to Old Mr. Seymour, "Sir, aren’t you going to advise him?"
"Advise what? The young couple is so in love, why should I disturb that? To break them up?" Old Mr. Seymour snorted and asked.
"This, this... handing over such a big company... truly unheard of." Ralap Lee’s mind was a mess, almost losing his ability to think properly. What he was saying was quite sub-par, unlike his usual tactful self.
Within just a short while, Charles Seymour’s intrigues had stimulated him to the point of being utterly bewildered.
