Chapter 587: Chapter 587 Opportunity

"Do you think it will work?" the person next to him asked Ralap Lee in a low voice.

Ralap Lee took a sip of tea and said with a smile, "Whether it works or not, we won’t lose; let’s wait and see." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

If James Reed really has the ability to turn things around, they wouldn’t oppose him taking over Seymour Corporation in the future.

What they need is a chairman who can make money for them, not an heir with just a blood relation.

——

Ethan looked at the silent James Reed beside him and asked in a low voice, "Are we going over there just like this?"

"Yes," James Reed nodded and said, "The contract signing with Peace is an internal signing, with no media invited or press conference planned."

"If we go now, we won’t alarm anyone else. As long as we handle it steadily, we might still secure a partnership with Peace Corporation." A wolf-like ambition flashed in James Reed’s eyes. He could only succeed, and absolutely could not fail or let anyone see him as a joke.

When they reached Peace Corporation, the receptionist smiled and asked James Reed and Ethan, "Gentlemen, may I help you with something?"

"I need to see President Perry," James Reed said in a deep voice.

"Okay, do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked politely with a smile.

"No," James Reed replied straightforwardly.

The receptionist shook her head in embarrassment, "I’m sorry, sir, but without an appointment, President Perry is unavailable."

"Wait a moment," James Reed said with a sinister tone, then he took out his phone and called Jim Perry.

"Mr. Reed, I thought we had made everything clear," Jim Perry remarked as soon as he picked up, blocking any possible persuasion from James Reed. Although he appeared like a gentleman, it didn’t mean he lacked temper.

"President Perry, I’m right here at your company’s reception. I think it’s best you let me in for a talk; otherwise, I believe President Perry wouldn’t want your chairman to know about your ’close relations’ with me." James Reed intentionally emphasized "close relations," carrying a hint of threat.

"Alright, then please come in, Mr. Reed," Jim Perry chuckled. It was unclear from his laughter whether he was intimidated or had compromised.

James Reed didn’t care about this; he simply hung up the call, all he needed was to be allowed in.

Just as James Reed hung up, the phone at the reception rang. The receptionist picked it up, "Okay, okay, I understand."

After hanging up, the receptionist smiled at James Reed and Ethan, "Gentlemen, please follow me."

The receptionist led the two inside.

Ethan felt a sigh of relief in his heart as he looked at James Reed; indeed, James had a way.

As long as they could get in, they would have room for negotiation.

When James Reed and Ethan arrived at Jim Perry’s office, Jim Perry smiled slightly at the two and said, "Gentlemen, please have a seat."

Ethan didn’t know what kind of ’intimate relations’ his son had with Jim Perry, he just sat silently to the side.

James Reed sat across from Jim Perry with a stern face and said, "President Perry, I think we should seriously discuss the cooperation between your company and our Seymour Corporation."

"The company has already decided, and unless there are any unexpected issues, the people from Clark Corporation should already be in the meeting room, about to sign the documents." Jim Perry smiled as he spoke, implying that there was absolutely no chance for Seymour Corporation to partner with Peace Corporation.

There was not the slightest room for negotiation on this matter.
