Chapter 1037: Chapter 1017: Two Childish Ghosts

Tu Daoge listened to his brother’s heartless words and immediately looked in the direction of Luo Qianqian. Clearly, she was the one whose word counted here.

But when he saw the faintly smiling expression on Luo Qianqian’s face, he was also unsure of what she was thinking.

Suddenly gritting his teeth, he said, "Fine, I won’t stay here, alright?" After saying that, he turned and went downstairs, his heavy footsteps seeming as if they could crush holes into the wooden stairs.

Watching his departing figure, Tu Aige gave a bitter smile, "He hasn’t really suffered any hardships; he’s talented and willing to endure hardships, so he’s always had top-notch resources, and no one has ever told him what he can’t do." Tu Aige looked at Luo Qianqian, sighed softly, and said, "But it’s better this way; at least he won’t end up doing anything extreme because he can’t handle someone else’s rejection in the future."

Luo Qianqian nodded in agreement. In fact, if Tu Daoge had come to her himself, she would have looked the other way, after all these two are brothers, and they are both helping her in her work. More or less, she would grant a bit of special privilege.

The Founding Generals stood above other generals; shouldn’t those who accompanied her in establishing a new venture also have some privileges to be a little willful?

But equally, if Tu Daoge couldn’t find his own way out, she would still discard him.

She can slowly nurture loyal subordinates, but those with divided loyalties are simply unacceptable.

"I’ll head back first. Nine Heavens Pavilion, don’t let him come around here for the time being," Luo Qianqian’s voice carried a hint of melancholy.

An outstanding person that draws attention?

How big of a psychological gap must someone like that endure after being hurt?

After all, it used to be resource advantages, but now it’s...

Heartache, but no room for softness.

Softness in the moment could breed future troubles for oneself; it’s simply not worth it.

If they are my people and remain loyal, I will still help them as much as possible in the future.

However, if they aren’t, I would absolutely show no mercy.

Repaying malice with kindness? I have yet to evolve to such greatness.

After going downstairs, seeing that they were no longer there, she went out, hailed a taxi, and went home.

Completely oblivious to how eye-catching her school uniform was.

Back home, seeing two people fighting over the remote control, she suddenly felt a headache: "What are you doing?"

When the two saw Luo Qianqian come through the door, they instinctively let go of the remote, letting it fall to the floor with a piercing sound.

"Qianqian, this little brat insists on fighting with me for the remote; I want to watch my idol’s drama," He Wenyu jumped up from the sofa using her height advantage and rushed to Luo Qianqian’s side, complaining with a face full of grievances.

"Oh come on!" Mori was immediately unconvinced, reacting a beat slower but quickly bouncing up to cling to Luo Qianqian’s other arm, gently shaking it. "She’s so old yet still watching such childish love stories. I want to watch that deceptive lecture."

"Deceptive lecture?" Luo Qianqian twitched her mouth. What on earth? Why watch when knowing it’s deceptive?

"He knows it’s a scam and still watches it; isn’t he just a fool? Besides, it’s just an advert. What’s worth watching?"

"Hey, what you watch is either kissing or hugging. Have you no shame!"

"That’s still better than watching ads!"

"Advertisements are people-paid placements. Why do you look down on ads? That time wasted could have been used to boost your IQ!"

Luo Qianqian listened to their bickering with a twitching mouth. What on earth happened during this time? "Enough, have you finished your exercises?" she pointed to He Wenyu, full of skepticism.

He Wenyu lowered her head, somewhat embarrassed. Actually, no.

It was this little brat switching channels that let her hear the sound; otherwise, she wouldn’t have put down the paper to watch the drama...

"Hehe, go do your homework!" Mori joyfully raised his head against He Wenyu, not forgetting to stick out his tongue and make a face, showing off proudly.

"Qianqian, look at him... " He Wenyu immediately felt upset, tugging at Luo Qianqian’s arm and shaking it back and forth.

Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes speechlessly and turned to Mori: "You... cooked? Cooking is also a part of the household chores."

Hmph, she wouldn’t let anyone tease her good friend; even if someone were to make fun, she would do it herself.

Mori’s mouth twitched, full of disbelief. Cook? He was only alive for 63 months!!!

He Wenyu smugly raised her eyebrows at Mori, releasing Luo Qianqian’s arm, and walked briskly to her room, "Ah yes, I’m going to work on my papers. Not writing even for a moment makes my back ache."

Mori’s mouth twitched again as he silently walked into the kitchen.

It was only after the two left that Luo Qianqian breathed a sigh of relief, picked up the remote from the floor, and flopped onto the sofa, "So childish..."

Casually placing the remote on the coffee table, rubbing her temples, and leaning back with her eyes closed.

Soon after, the sound of even breathing could be heard, and Mori, who was ’cooking’, and He Wenyu, who was ’doing papers,’ both walked into the living room. Looking at the already asleep Luo Qianqian and the Tom and Jerry playing on the TV screen, they were left speechless.

"I’ll go cook then," He Wenyu quietly made her way to the kitchen, understanding full well that Luo Qianqian was avenging her by making Mori do it, but she hadn’t seen Mori’s skill, and didn’t dare to eat in case something strange was in it.

"Then I’ll help you check the papers." Mori quietly covered Luo Qianqian with the light blanket he had recently been using at night, then turned to walk toward Luo Qianqian and He Wenyu’s room.

In this small house, his ’room’ was precisely the sofa where Luo Qianqian was currently sleeping.

Though there was no privacy, he didn’t mind. In fact, he was quite satisfied; the setup allowed him to keep an eye on all the room’s activity at any time.

His small stature meant the sofa was more than enough for him.

After both finished their tasks, Luo Qianqian still hadn’t awakened, her face filled with exhaustion.

The two tacitly decided not to wake her up. After having a simple meal, one went off to work on the papers, and the other went to wash dishes.

When the purifier woke up, noticing the dim light and the very clear writing sounds, she was momentarily stunned.

"Awake? Why don’t you eat first?" A voice spoke when she was looking towards the room.

Luo Qianqian turned her head, seeing a hint of purple, and froze on the spot.

Only after a moment did she realize it was Mori.

"Did you guys eat?"

Mori nodded, "The food in the pot should still be warm. I’m going to shower first, though."

After saying so, he stood up and went into the bathroom.

He Wenyu heard the sound and also came out, casually turning on the light. She looked at Luo Qianqian, who was standing beside the sofa, and sighed, "Probably won’t be sleeping tonight?"

Sleeping from around four in the afternoon to one in the morning, nine full hours...

Is that something a normal person can do?
