After a few weeks of going easy with their hunts, Grace and her team of warriors were ready to face a real challenge... a really powerful one.

Over the past weeks, she resumed her relentless hunts, while often beimg accompanied by Rune and his team. Their synergy in battle was unparalleled. When they battled, it looked like a dance of precision and power.

But hunts weren't the only thing they were doing. Once his team settled down in Starfall, Rune continued training the warriors at the academy and his team frequently assisted, offering sparring sessions that pushed even the most seasoned fighters to their limits.

Despite their decade-long imprisonment, his team was swiftly reclaiming their prowess. Their battles against Earth's beasts were almost effortless, as their techniques were honed from years of combating galactic monstrosities.

However, today felt different. It was different.

Grace turned to 2025 that was

hovering nearby, ready to answer all her questions as it was already done with all its research for this particular hunt.

"Are we ready?" She asked.

"If you are talking about my side of work, then yes! I have everything ready." 2025 replied in a proud voice.

She nodded her head in approval. "Assemble the team. We will move out in two hours."

The little creature immediately followed her command. It sent a notification throughout the AI systems working in Starfall, not only alerting the warriors about the new hunt mission but also the citizens of the island.

Within next ten minutes, all advanced Rank A warriors were assembled in the outside training ground of the Academy with Davian, Rune, and latter's team.

Grace filled them in about the mission, letting them know that they would be facing their worst fear so far - a Class 12 Shadow Beast.

The beast was spotted in the old ruins of a costal city in Starship Country. But the beast itself wasn't the real problem. As a Supreme Rank Warrior, Grace was powerful enough to take down about five Class 12 Shadow Beasts at a time.

Hence, the real problem was the army of other beasts and Infected that the Class 12 Shadow Beast was commanding in that area.

2025 found that there were about four thousand infected within the city and they all would join the battle at the Class 12s command. Not only that, but there were nearly three hundred Shadow and Monster Beasts residing in the city as well, including two Class 11 Monster Beasts, a Class 10 Monster Beast, a Class 10 Shadow Beast, and five Class 9 Beasts. The rest were below Class 9 and there were even some Class 2 and 3 beast there.

And this was what made this hunt not only dangerous but also brutal and unpredictable.

The atmosphere in the training ground turned grave as she finished her briefing.

No one spoke for a long moment.

Even the most seasoned warriors, the ones who had fought alongside her through the harshest battles, were visibly tense. The weight of this mission was heavy. Not just because of the sheer number of enemies, but because of what it represented.

A Class 12 Shadow Beast was not just powerful - it was far more intelligent, cunning, and cruel compared to Class 11s and Class 10s they had faced before.

Grace's gaze swept over the warriors as she spoke. "This is not a hunt for glory. This is war. We won't be fighting to collect spirit stones or resources from the fallen beasts, but to eliminate the current biggest threat against humanity." freёwebnoѵel.com

She let that sink in before continuing, "It's just a matter of time before it could head to attack one of the safe zones, and the one at real risk are Starship's safe zones. It alone couldn't take down our wards, but its army of other powerful beasts will be a different story. So, we need to kill it before it thinks about killing us."

Nods followed as everyone understood the urgency of the matter. They might not be ready to take down a Class 12 Shadow Beast, but they were and would always be ready to protect their world and people.

With all that being said, Grace finally moved to the strategic part, starting with the task of picking the best team for the hunt.

Fifteen minutes later, a team of thirty advanced Rank A warriors was ready, including Rune's teammates and some members from Grace and Davian's teams.

"We are splitting into four primary units, led by Rune, Kevin, Davian, and Nicholas. I, on the other hand, will work solo in this mission." She filled them in on the plan.

Rune took a step forward before speaking in a calm but commanding voice. "My team will handle the western entry point of the city. According to the latest data, that side is crawling with low-tier infected. We'll clear the passage and sweep inward to force them toward the center."

Kevin added with a nod. "I'll take the east. We'll use the high-rise ruins as vantage points to provide sniper support and pressure the Class 9s and 10s before they can engage in close combat."

Davian was calm and composed as ever, and ready for the hunt. "I'll go north with my squad. We'll push back the stronger beasts lurking near the collapsed highway and hold the perimeter. We must prevent any of them from escaping."

Nicholas, on the other hand, was going to lead the back up team, their task was to provide help from the shadows instead of being on the frontline.

"I'll engage the Class 12 directly," Grace announced, ending the plan briefing.

The teams broke to prepare, and she walked a few paces away from the rest, her boots crunching over the hardened ground. She inhaled deeply as the weight of the moment pressed into her bones.

"You are quiet," Rune said as he stepped behind her with a steady presence.

She glanced over her shoulder at him before replying, "It's a heavy day."

Davian joined them at that very moment, adding, "We have seen worse."

She gave the two men soft smiles, aware that they were going to be her biggest support on the battlefield.

"Let's do this."
