Alexia

I back away quite a bit before stopping to watch the battle that is now commencing between the two world bosses. As numerous massive tentacles try to wrap around the equally massive shark and strangle it, only for the shark to bite straight through some of the tentacles.

And while this is going on, I go ahead and identify the boss of his other planet I’m on.

{Acryos, God of the Deep: The Water God of Cataclysm: Level 1500}

Yeah, about what I expected. This boss is the same type of Cataclysm Class monster as the sharkie. To the point that it’s the same level as well.

Although on another note, I can’t help but wonder about something while the two fight each other without holding back.

How is it that the sharkie is still the same level as it was when I originally found it? Shouldn’t it have leveled up a lot by now?

I know the other monsters I’ve seen in the dungeon can level up after all. So why can’t these bosses?

It isn’t because they’re Cataclysm Class monsters, because I know the Cataclysm Class monsters outside of dungeons can level as well.

So what’s going on here?

And where are the higher level bosses anyways? After all, this is a Tier 5 dungeon. Which makes the highest level monster in this place supposed to be level 2500.

But these are just level 1500.

The 𝘮ost uptodat𝑒 novels are pub𝙡ished on freeweɓnovēl.coɱ.

Are there just larger worlds out there with stronger boss monsters? Or maybe some special temple or something somewhere on one of the planets that leads to some different dimension with the dungeon’s final boss?

Something like that.

I watch the two fighting for a bit before another possibility comes to mind.

Maybe they can grow stronger after killing other bosses? That sounds like something the System would do…

After watching them battle for several minutes, my thoughts eventually settle to just watching them instead of speculating. Both because it’s rather interesting to watch a battle between literal giants who are thousands of meters in length, and because I’m running out of thoughts to think about them. And I’m beginning to just think that I should simply wait and see what happens.

Oh, and I should kill them both once they’re both weak enough.

So with that thought in mind, I watch the sharkie rip off tentacle after tentacle with its mouth. All while the massive squid tears ribbons down the sharkie’s side with the claws at the tips of its tentacles.

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

But at some point while watching it, a thought comes to mind. One completely unrelated to the battle at hand.

Mostly because it’s something I missed before.

I open up the leaderboards again with a frown on my face.

Right.

So I completely forgot about the whole reviving thing. With everyone having two lives in this dungeon.

Yet despite that, it’s clear Ignivara is dead for good.

Why and how?

Did he die twice or something? Did the System not heal him after bringing him back to life, leading him to die again in here while he was berserk or something?

Or did someone maybe just kill him again after killing him once?

Wait a second…

My thoughts go back to the quantum energy I sensed a while back.

Could that be the cause? Maybe someone who was able to bypass the System somehow to kill him permanently without the System being able to revive him?

They’d have to be pretty skilled with quantum energy to do that. To the degree of being a role-bearing Quantum Being in fact.

And I highly doubt one of them would ever be participating in this.

They aren’t even users of the System after all.

For a single moment, my thoughts begin to move towards one single possibility. The possibility of a devourer being involved.

Of my mom doing this.

But my thoughts are interrupted by the rude sharkie and squid when their attacks almost hit me. Attacks clearly meant for each other but are straying very far away from their battle.

Or rather, it’s turning this entire planet into their battlefield as they tear everything apart with their water magic.

Well this is getting rather annoying.

They’re literally tearing apart all of the continents on this little planet…

I purse my lips before deciding to watch for a bit longer without interfering. Seeing as their wounds aren’t bad enough, and they haven’t exhausted themselves enough.

It’d be best to just wait for them to run low on mana.

Then I can slaughter them both.

Although I really wish I could just use my True Form to kill these things. Since that would make all of this so much easier on me.

Anyways, with that thought in mind, I continue waiting.

And waiting.

And waiting some more.

All the way until an entire half an hour passes during their battle, with the continents around them being sliced to pieces in the process.

It’s only at this point that I finally feel comfortable stepping in. So without hesitation, I teleport down towards them and slash straight through one of the sharkie’s eyes, disabling said eye as I cut it in half during my little surprise attack. Leaving the sharkie staggering backwards while the squid: who had fully surfaced at some point: does the same.

A smirk stretches across my face.

Nice. I bet they pretty much forgot I was even here. Since I haven’t done anything other than watch them throughout their entire battle.

So before either of them can recover from their surprise, I go ahead and begin bombarding them with Quantum Bolts from above in a massive barrage.

Let’s see how long it takes to bring both of these things down.

And get me two boss chests as a reward.
