I stood silent in front of the demon’s dead body. Its head was a few meters away from it.
The whole fight was easier than I had expected.
Probably because of the fact that this specific demon wasn’t fit for a proper fight.
A succubus— they specialize in mind control and other mental spells. They win fights without actually fighting.
They can control or interrupt an individual’s mind even though they’re ranks higher than them, that’s why they’re feared. Guilds and Clans fell because of their schemes.
Though, in exchange for their terrifying skill, the succubus demons are not fit for real combat. Their strength is lacking for their rank, they’re not sturdy either.
That, and the fact that I’m immune to any controlling skill thanks to [Emperor’s Aura]’s <Mind Master> passive effect, made it easier for me to defeat this demon.
Because if not for that—
’I probably would’ve had a hard time, or be defeated overall... The [Emperor’s Aura] is really OP, I’m glad I got it.’
I thought to myself before crouching down in front of the demon’s corpse.

Sariel then appeared and informed me of that.
’Hmm, with that— I have over 6000 then... I wonder where I could use it.’
Anyway, I sheathed [Emmeranne] on my left waist, then I started looking for something useful from the succubus.

It’s kind of awkward to hold it in places because it’s almost not wearing anything.
"Sariel, can you just appraise this demon’s body, and if you detect any artifact in it— tell me where it is."
[Hmm, glad that you’re not a normal teenager or a normal human— if you were, you’d probably still be attracted to that succubus’ dead body and do stupid things.]
Sariel told me, reading my mind as to why I ordered him that.
He’s right in his words, by the way. If I didn’t have [Calm Thinker], or I was a normal human, I would’ve probably done something stupid.
Succubus’ dead bodies still ooze out demonic mana that attacks one’s mind and attracts people. I specifically wrote that in the novel just for extra detail.
Incubus’ dead bodies do that too— everyone from the Lust Clan does.
’Still, it would be fucked to be attracted to a headless body.’
I thought.
[Anyway, while I’m searching this demon’s body— did you know that the Higher Being added something about the Lust Clan?]
Sariel said that.
I had nothing to do, and I was curious as well—
"What is it?"
So I asked him.
[If you have intercourse with them, especially with their dead bodies, a curse will befall you.]
Sariel said.
"Well, that’s normal, I guess... That fits them being a demon clan and all. This change they made doesn’t really concern me."
I replied with a casual shrug.
[The curse is that you’ll be pregnant and bear a demon child inside your stomach that will drain your life force, and after giving birth to it— you’ll die. This curse will apply to everyone, whether you’re male or female.]
Then, Sariel explained. His tone inside my head was so calm, like he was just telling me the weather.

I became silent. I didn’t know what expression to make. I didn’t know what to say.
But in my head—
’I’ll make sure that I won’t get tangled up with the Lust Clan... Yep.’
I silently noted that. Not that I planned to, but I still made sure to remember that.
’What the heck was that Higher Fucker thinking anyway, adding something like that? He probably just thought it was funny.’
Anyway— I just let Sariel do his thing while I kept watch of the surroundings.
’I mean... How the hell will male give birth in the first place? From the tip...?’
Ugh... Just thinking about it hurts as fuck.

A few minutes after Raven’s fight with Amaris—
"Huh...?"
Kendy arrived at the scene. He was the new staff responsible for keeping watch of Raven, the replacement of the first one.
The Headmaster specifically assigned him for this.
"What the hell happened here?"
Kendy asked, looking at the headless body on the ground. He wasn’t stupid, he immediately knew it was a demon.
And at his question—
"I was attacked by a demon in between the time my previous proctor and you changed shifts."
Raven casually responded with that. Like it wasn’t a big deal.
Kendy frowned at his words and reaction.
"Ugh..."
He grabbed his head, unsure of what to do next.
’This... He killed a succubus all by himself? Is this kid a monster?’
He thought, his eyes shifting back and forth from Amaris to Raven.
"I have a skill that negates mind-controlling effects cast on me, though it only works if the caster is around the same rank or lower."
Raven then explained, guessing what was on Kendy’s head. He also downplayed his skill’s effect.
’I know he’ll keep that information confidential, but just to be sure.’
He thought to himself.
"..."
Kendy just looked at Raven, not saying anything.
"Haaaa... Whatever."
Then he just let out a sigh. He decided to stop thinking that Raven is just a normal brat.
Opening his mouth—
"This is a great feat... The academy will make sure this reaches the world, and you’ll be rewarded when we get back from this field trip."
Kendy stated.
’Sweet.’
And Raven smiled, hearing that.
After all, his trait will be fed, and his growth will be boosted even more—
’Also, who would say no to a reward?’
"Anyway, the previous staff who was keeping an eye on you reported to me what you did until now, that’s why it took me a while to get here— looks like you already caught on to what this field trip is all about."
Kendy spoke again.
Raven simply nodded his head.
"It was easy to realize if you just think about it for a moment."
He said.
"Yeah yeah, smart head."
Kendy just shrugged before speaking again.
"You already fulfilled the goal for this field trip, and with this achievement—"
He paused to look at the dead demon.
"You can go back to the hotel now and rest if you want to."
Then he continued with that.
"I’m good. I promised to meet with the others later."
Raven replied without missing a beat.
"Instead of that, why not just help me train?"
Then, he followed with that, smiling.
Kendy raised a brow at his suggestion, but he didn’t say anything. Raven shrugged, and with his lips parting—
"Isn’t it boring to just follow me around, doing nothing? And if I go back to the hotel— you’ll just be assigned to watch other students."
He said that.
"As you said, I already fulfilled the goal of this field trip, so doing this wouldn’t really affect anything."
Then he added.
"..."
Kendy remained silent, looking at Raven up and down before looking around.
Kendy was... Bored. Just like as Raven said.
"Meh, sure, why not?"
And so after a while, he just said that with a casual tone.

[Mana Path Preset]— it was the skill Raven got from the skeleton in the [Red Wolves’ Mountain].
He was really lucky to get this skill because he wants it... No, he needs it.

Kendy asked in his head, a smirk rising on his face.
’The last time I used this was during the assessment exam when I was fighting Sean and his goons.’
Raven thought before setting a mana path straight to [Nyx]’s cartridge.
This is where the bullet goes.
By doing this, Raven can imbue mana in his bullets almost immediately without precise mana control. All he needs to do is give mana to [Nyx], and the path will lead it straight to where the bullet is!

Raven raised his gun. Seeing that—
"All I need to do is parry and dodge without moving from where I’m standing, while your goal is to make me take a step or hit me with your bullet, right?"
"Ah, and I’ll limit my mana usage too, right?"
Kendy asked, confirming things.
Raven nodded his head.
"Goo—"

Then he pulled the trigger as Kendy was speaking!
His bullet flew straight to Kendy; it was covered in mana, electricity, and wind!
It was terrifyingly fast!

Kendy’s eyes widened.

But he was able to quickly raise his right gauntlet to block it.
"That was a good attempt. Too bad it didn’t work, huh."
Kendy said teasingly.
Though, as soon as he said that—
F W I S H—!
Black rope made of mana erupted from the bullet and wrapped around his torso!
"Huh...?"
PSH! PSH! PSH!
Then Raven shot three more times!
