Re-Awakening with the Summoner's Class-Chapter 40: First Trek
Chapter 40: First Trek
"I would like to..."
HISS!
He got splashed with apple juice this time as she ran out of holy water. Recruiting her seemed impossible with how things were right now.
However, Leo had an Ace up his sleeve.
[Sapphire, could you come towards the giant serpent I'm about to summon?]
[Yes, of course!]
Leo left the tent momentarily without a word, surprising Amelia at the sudden change of action.
'Oh no, I've schared the custhomerr.'
ROAAAAR!
A giant serpent appeared outside, way taller than any of the tents around them, its screeching scared everyone around and attracted a few Climbers.
"Quick! Kill it!"
They formed into a party and were about to start attacking it, but Leo cleared his throat loudly, which made them stop moving for a moment and look at him.
"This is my summon."
None of them seemed to understand what he just said since they didn't speak Japanese. For a moment, Leo thought very hard about something before saying.
"I.. am... Leo Astralis."
It was in broken English, which worked as they all put down their weapons and went back to whatever they were doing previously.
Just as they left, Sapphire ran up to him and hid behind the cloak he wore. Now that the serpent did its job, it was time to recall it and go back inside.
"Are you okay, Sapphire?"
After seeing her nod, he entered the antidote store once again, much to Amelia's dismay.
"I think I thold you to not chome any chloser!"
Her attitude changed once she saw the short slime girl behind him, who took a step in front of him and spoke up.
"Uhm... it's nice to meet you, I'm Sapphire."
Amelia straightened her back, fixed her glasses, and smiled widely as the slime got closer to her desk.
"It's nice to meet you, Sapphirhe."
"It's Sapphire..."
"Yes, exacthly. Sapphirhe."
A loud silence ensued as both of them looked at each other, not understanding the confusion of the other. Leo broke that silence, as they didn't have all day, by tapping his foot against the ground, snapping the two girls out of their trance.
"Oh, right! We... I mean, I would like to order 30 bottles of anti-toxins."
For a moment, the nun was gone as she went behind the tent and brought a crate of vials out of a mini fridge in her car.
"That would be 6 000 gold for all of them."
However, there was still one more thing the slime general had to do before they left the store. She mustered up the courage and blurted out.
"We also ask you if you would bless us with your presence during the gate trek..."
[Good job.]
That was way too much stimulus for the anti-social slime as she ran out to get back to her sisters. Now, the two of them were left alone once again.
He walked over to the counter and pushed the contents of the crate into his inventory, then dropped off 6 000 gold and sent Amelia a Party Request.
[Leo has invited you to join his party]
[Yes] [No]
Now, the only person who could decide it was the High Priestess herself. As Leo left the store, he could hear a commotion a few hundred meters from the main non combatant area.
His curiosity got the better of him as he walked over there. What he found made him smile widely, a building two stories in height with lavish decorations and a huge crowd.
Leo swiftly passed all the customers standing in a queue to get inside and meet up with Nyssa, who had set up her merchant ability after buying her scrolls.
"How's business going?"
She took out a sack of gold big enough to be too heavy for her to lift, which had shocked him at how good she became at it.
"It's not going bad, I would say... but I would appreciate it if you gave me some more junk as I'm running low."
Who was he to decline a girl her junk loot? One by one, he emptied his inventory of useless materials, leaving only the artifact part, dragon essence, and the pink crystal.
But just in case she thought it would be for free, he put a list of items he wanted her to buy.
When she looked at the list, her jaw dropped, there was at least 80 000 worth of items he wanted from her, and the junk loot she just got was barely worth 60 000.
"Fine... I will help you. Now leave, you are disrupting the business."
The store itself grabbed him by the collar and threw him out through the window.
'I can't tell if her talent is getting wasted on being a merchant or Climber...'

He thought to himself while patting down on his clothes. His next stop would be finding a team to adventure with, and what place better to find than a tavern?
In his proximity, the only one worth going to was behind the military checkpoint, which he passed without a problem, thanks to the fame he had gathered so far.
"Could I get an autograph?"
One of the soldiers asked during the routine check-up during his passage. However, the only thing he could think of was when he signed the documents to leave the prison, so he did just that.
"Thank you so much! My son is a huge fan!"
He said while storing the autograph in the military vehicle on the border before opening the gate to allow him to pass.
Their goal was now visible. Even though Leo was 500 meters away from it, he could see it perfectly fine due to its size.
Now, imagining a Hydra passing through it made way more sense because before, he couldn't think of any way it would fit all of its heads and the heavy bottom.
A pretty big tavern stood close by the checkpoint. It wasn't anything luxurious since it was in the middle of being built, but inside, it was already bustling with life.
Drinks were being poured, and stories were being told, but most importantly, parties were being created.
Leo took a piece of paper from the counter and one of the pens lying around, scribbling a shield symbol on it and three exclamation marks.
On the bottom, to make sure they knew its him, he wrote Leo and Summoner.
Because of their intoxication, no one paid much attention to him putting it up, which let him repeat the same process in every other tavern in the zone of the gate.
Once he finished, he went to regroup with the rest of his party.

"Are you all ready?"
The summoner asked as they were preparing for the first expedition into the gate. All of them nodded, some holding new weapons, some with new accessories.
He rushed outside, expecting to find a large group of tanks ready to join his party, but instead, there was only one rather old man with his shield and Amelia right next to him.
"Is there anyone else who will be late..?"
