Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 217: Second Phase and Gluttony
<Boss Monster Exclusive Passive Effect: Second Phase Mode is available! Click to setup...>
Rael stared at it for a few moments, then pressed it.
Immediately, a large interface appeared in front of him, detailing all sorts of statistics.
<Boss Monster Second Phase>
<The True Platinum Overlord>
<Innate Abilities Upon Transformation>
1. [Market Collapse]
Effect: Instantly resets all skill cooldowns. However, during the Second Phase transformation, all active skills require Trell to cast.
Additional: MP is converted into excess Trell for the duration of the Second Phase transformation.
<Notice>
MP regeneration restores Excess Trell instead.
Excess Trell is tracked separately and cannot be used for any purchases, including the Premium Shop.
Excess Trell disappears once Second Phase ends.
2. [Whale Destroyer]
Passive Effect: Allies within range gain +30% increase to all stats.
Penalty: Enemies who attack you lose 1% of their total Trell per hit.
3. [Ultimate Skill - Premium Rebalance]
Effect: Redistributes the target’s stats, nerfing their strongest attributes and boosting their weakest.
Limit: Can only be used once per target.
Per-Target Cooldown: 5 minutes.
<Stat Increases Upon Transformation>
<HP x10>
<Highest Stat x5>
He stared at the text in shock.
It was overpowered, for starters. But more importantly, there didn’t seem to be any real limit on using the Second Phase transformation.
Of course, he’d be limited to using money instead of MP, but his MP would also be converted into Excess Trell, which he could use to cast his skills.
So it would act as MP... yeah, it’s not that complicated. Rael sighed. The 10x HP increase is massive too. Though it’s going to be even better once my Crystalline Nexus skill reaches max level and evolves.
As it stood, it was still a long way off.
Crystalline Nexus (Transcendent) [Level 53 | 1,442/38,584 XP]
It was one of the skills he couldn’t level up just by spending money.
Still, once it evolved, his current bonuses would be increased exponentially, including HP and MP.
Anyhow... I’ll turn it on in a bit. First, I need to check out Gluttony.
With that, he inspected the Gluttony Skill.
Gluttony (Exalted) [Level 1 | 0/100 XP]
—Devour the world and gain stats from slain foes.
1. Stat Absorption: Upon killing an enemy, absorb 10% of their total stats.
2. Eternity: Upon death, consume a chunk of your stats to revive. Stat cost depends on injury received. Only works for damage that instantly kills you.
3. ???: Killing a higher being has a small chance of awarding you with one of their Feats. Extremely small chance to
Aha... Rael nodded slowly. That third option is extremely good, but I also only absorbed a tenth of his stats. Damn... that guy really was loaded...
He also noticed that the second effect, Eternity, only worked if he was killed instantly.
It was great, but it also meant that if opponents didn’t just nuke him instantly and instead dragged out the fight, he’d actually die.
Though... Hollow Waltz also has a sort of revival, but its cooldown is 180 days.
As much as he didn’t want to overthink it, it didn’t seem like a coincidence he just got two skills that could revive him upon death.
But once he had that thought, he froze, suddenly remembering one fact.
So far, everything had gone according to his predictions. The war. The Evangelists’ control over relics. And even the movements of the other rulers were something he could easily figure out.
And yet before his death, Reinhardt had said something strange.
His mother scattered into particles...
Seventeen years ago. Particles. It was definitely not a coincidence.
Is she related to the players somehow...? What if there was another beta test for Sketa Online all those years ago, but in private?
He had too many thoughts swirling inside his mind, and it all led to one conclusion.
Rael needed to find her and uncover the truth.
Whether that meant killing her on the spot, or making her an ally, he didn’t know.
But one thing was certain, and that was if he acted oblivious to such an entity existing on the continent, then he was simply waiting for a calamity to happen.
In the midst of his thoughts, he heard a groan beside him. As he turned around, he was met with Anath, who finally sat upright, glancing at him with a frightened gaze.
"I... I thought you were going to teleport me?"
"Well, we did arrive faster than you thought, right? It’s kind of like teleportation. Though you did pass out, which might’ve ruined your experience," Rael replied with a slight smirk. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Anath’s brows twitched. "You’re unbelievable... but..."
She glanced around, taking in the sight of the familiar city before looking back at him.
"Thank you," Anath expressed sincerely.
He tilted his head. "No need to thank me. It’s all a part of the deal. I get something in return, after all."
"And that something is...?"
"None of your business," Rael replied with a chuckle and stood up, then extended his hand toward her. "Come. I’ll get us into the castle."
She stared at him for a few moments, then gave in and finally grabbed his hand.
For the sake of her not vomiting over his clothes, Rael moved much slower. Even then, it only took a few seconds to arrive at the castle.
He set her down gently on the walls, and without waiting for even a moment, Anath ran away.
She ran down the stairs, and he could see the puzzled guards raising their weapons before suddenly lowering them.
They recognized who she was, and because of that, let her through as she ran into the violet flower courtyard.
Rael watched the entire scene unfold with a warm heart.
Anath arrived at the courtyard where the Duke was, and the moment he noticed her, he dropped his sword.
Rael couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but the two shakily approached one another and hugged, tears streaming down their cheeks.
And as for Rael, he sighed and leaned against the wall before looking up at the sky.
Why am I feeling a bit jealous?
