Hmm... I really have to buy it, don't I? Rael glanced at his HP.

[HP: 221/1390]

If he were to buy a few of them, his HP would be restored to somewhat safe limits.

However, even if it worked, the problem was the monster in front of him

—Rock Golem [Level 20] [3100/3100 HP] (+1000)

It just had to be a Rock Golem, a monster known for its high physical defenses.

On the other hand, it was slow, so Rael felt like the fight might be doable.

Therefore, he bought exactly three health potions and swiftly chugged them.

[HP +300! 521/1390]

Now I won't be one-shotted. Though if it breaks my arm or something, then I'm fucked either way. Rael grumbled as he readied his sword.

Yet the Rock Golem seemed to not want to move, as it merely stared at him.

That was why he decided to make the first move.

Rael dashed in swiftly, bringing his sword down onto its massive foot.

-138!

Noticing the number, his eyes momentarily widened, and he suddenly took a step backward, dodging its rocky palm.

"You rock piece of shit. Why do you have a 75% physical damage reduction, huh? Do you think it's fair?" Rael complained out loud. "What is this trial in the first place, huh? I'm meant to kill you while I'm 9 levels down. Not balanced. Not balanced at all."

As if hearing his complaints, the Rock Golem suddenly stuck its hand into the ground and tore out a massive patch of grass before throwing it at Rael.

"What the f—" Rael dodged out of instinct, his eyes widening. "You are out of line..."

He trailed off, spotting a peculiar sight.

As the golem took a step forward, a faint glow appeared right where its mouth was, but it disappeared the moment it stopped moving again.

I see... Here I was thinking this is a summoned Rock Golem. Turns out it's a natural one if it has a core. Rael thought with a wide grin.

Now all he needed to do was simply close the distance and destroy the core.

Simple enough.

Therefore, he kicked off the ground, aggressively appearing before the Rock Golem.

He stopped just as it was about to crush him with its arms.

Letting the Rock Golem's fists impact the ground, Rael leaped up, traveling alongside its arm until finally, he reached the very top of its head.

"Alright, open up, motherfucker."

-133!

-99!

-113!

-87!

After hitting its head four times, it finally showed a reaction as it crouched down and tore out another chunk of the earth before throwing it at its own head.

However, just as it was about to hit, Rael jumped off, watching the Rock Golem stagger backward with its head cracked open.

A blue crystal appeared in Rael's sight, yet the surrounding rocks quickly began to encase it again.

But before it could, Rael heaved a deep breath, extended his arm forward, and sent his sword flying straight through the core, shattering it in an instant.

-2030! Instant Kill!

Nice... Rael sighed. That was tiring.

His thoughts were soon interrupted by a row of messages.

Oh shit? It's corny... But it has some real potential now. He thought with satisfaction as he brought his guard up.

Yet after five seconds, instead of a monster, the system interface appeared.

Yep, give me a moment. he thought, before plopping down on the warm grass.

Rael was a bit broke, but nonetheless, he purchased a nice fizzy drink for 25 Trell."

Since there was no time limit on when he could accept, Rael waited for his HP to fully restore, which took exactly 6 minutes.

While out of combat, his HP restored at a rate of 10% per minute, and MP restored at the same rate, though he had no use for it yet.

Now, he was finally ready, and with no clue as to what the final trial could be, he pressed "Yes."

Immediately, his vision shifted slightly faster than the previous time, and he soon found himself in some sort of dreary area, with the stench of blood assaulting his nose.

"Ugh—" He held himself back from vomiting as he took a glance around.

And as he did, several lifeless human and elf corpses appeared in his sight, followed by a distant roar.

Rael turned toward it and saw a colossal creature.

The white scales and wings of a dragon, the golden mane and paws of a lion, and the multiple dark green heads which looked like they belonged to a hydra.

It was fighting against the humans and the other races, who were badly losing.

However, there was one thing in particular that caught Rael's attention.

It was the black eyeball that looked eerily similar to the one he had eaten, the same one which caused him to appear in this world in the first place.

Soon, his suspicions were confirmed.

The timer... is already ticking? Rael thought with furrowed brows, an uneasy feeling welling in his heart.

And it appeared rightfully so when all of a sudden, the ground shook, and in the very next moment, Rael saw countless bodies fly past him.

In the distance, he saw the Beast, which looked nothing short of an Eldritch horror.

Just this time, it had its completely black eyes set on Rael, as it suddenly outstretched its white wings outward and leaped into the sky.

It immediately disappeared from Rael's sight, even as he tried peering beyond the clouds, there was nothing.

But the occasional gusts of strong wind reminded him that the beast was still there.

Heaving a shaky sigh, Rael looked around the battlefield and soon came to the natural conclusion:

I'm so fucked.
