Seeing Alice Turner had already walked away, Lily Turner couldn’t wait for Easton Holmes to respond to her anymore, and she moved to follow Alice. While responding to her dad, she shook the hand holding his shirt, signaling him to stop acting like a child.

"Okay, you two hurry up then."

Seeing Easton Holmes didn’t even turn his head, Christopher Turner thought they surely had something to discuss, so he turned back into the restaurant.

"Let’s go eat."

Just as Lily Turner was thinking about how to persuade Easton Holmes to go in for dinner, she suddenly heard him say that, and her eyes widened in surprise.

Seeing her expression, he couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing, "Ha! Why are you looking at me like that?"

He waved a hand in front of her eyes, causing a shadow to flicker across, making her blink reflexively.

"You were pretending just now?"

Seeing Easton Holmes suddenly laugh, Lily Turner belatedly realized he was pretending earlier; pretending to be angry, pretending to be jealous. He had fooled her.

"Let’s hurry inside; we shouldn’t keep mom and dad waiting." Easton Holmes didn’t respond to Lily Turner’s question but instead led her directly to the restaurant. She rolled her eyes at him for deceiving her and said nothing more, following his steps into the restaurant.
