Hearing Benjamin Shaw say there was a call coming in, Alice Turner thought it was true and worried it was a call from Thomas Fisher. She immediately walked over to Benjamin not far away.

Before she could reach him, she heard her phone ringing, and her steps instinctively quickened.

Her tone wasn’t so amiable because she was still a bit irritated.

Upon hearing this, Charlotte immediately countered, "If you don’t say, how would I know what you’re going to..."

She suddenly stopped mid-sentence, mistakenly thinking that her brother was eager to spend time with his sister-in-law.

Thinking of that, a happy smile appeared on her face, and she decided not to continue chatting with her brother, planning to hang up and give him and his sister-in-law some time.

"Alright, I’ll stop here today. I won’t bother you and Alice anymore, I’m hanging up," Charlotte finished on her own and very consciously hung up the phone.

This situation was deliberately created by Benjamin, and seeing Charlotte hang up, a faint smile appeared on his lips.

He took the phone off his ear and turned to return it to Alice, who was standing behind him.
