Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 67 Smells Good
Chapter 67 - 67 Smells Good
After a clattering session in the kitchen, Lily Turner finally brought the prepared dishes to the table. Once the tableware was set, she walked over to call Easton Holmes for dinner. "Mr. Holmes! The meal is ready; you can come over and eat now."
At that moment, she felt like a housekeeper, having prepared the meal and called the employer to eat.
"So fast!"
The meal was ready sooner than Easton Holmes had expected. As he approached the dining room door, he smelled the aroma of the food and couldn't help but exclaim, "Smells delicious!"
Catching the enticing smell, he unconsciously quickened his pace, striding into the dining room. freёweɓnovel.com
Walking into the dining room, the sight of three neatly arranged dishes on the dining table immediately caught Easton Holmes's attention. The aroma was enticing, but the vibrant colors of the dishes were even more appealing, leaving him eager to try them.
Before he had a chance to sit down, he picked up the chopsticks and tasted a piece of broccoli. The garlic fragrance mixed with the taste of the broccoli instantly filled his mouth.
"This is the best garlic broccoli I've ever had!"
After swallowing the broccoli, he gave her a thumbs up. He wasn't just flattering her; the dish was genuinely delicious.
Initially, he didn't have high expectations of her, and she had given him such a pleasant surprise, making him feel a long-lost sense of home.
At first, Lily thought Easton was just flattering her, but after giving it some thought, she realized there was nothing worth praising about her. If it wasn't flattery, then it seemed she had simply made dishes that suited his taste.
"Since it tastes good, you should eat more," Lily said as she picked up a bowl from the table and served Easton a bowl of rice. "Eat it with the rice."
She placed the bowl of rice in front of him and turned to walk out of the dining room.
Easton reached out and grabbed Lily, who was about to walk out, puzzled, "Aren't you eating with me?"
"I'm not hungry yet, don't feel like eating," Lily pulled away from his grasp and continued heading out of the dining room. As she left, she turned back to add, "You go ahead and eat. Call me when you're done, and I'll wash the dishes before I leave."
Since she already cooked, she didn't mind staying to clean up the dishes afterward. After all, it wasn't too tiring a task for her.
"If you're not hungry, you can eat just a little."
This wasn't the scenario Easton Holmes had hoped for; he intended to have a meal and chat with Lily Turner.
With her back to the man behind her, Lily waved her hand, "You eat by yourself. I'm going to watch TV."
With those words, she strode into the direction of the living room.
Watching her figure gradually disappear, Easton's eyes suddenly dimmed. Only when she was out of sight did he slowly retract his gaze, pulling out the chair in front of him and sitting down.
Even though it was just three simple homemade dishes without even a bit of meat, Easton ate with great relish, finishing two bowls of rice before setting down his chopsticks.
He didn't call Lily over to clean up the tableware; instead, he carried them to the kitchen himself. Earlier, Lily had cleaned the Glass Pavilion while cooking, so all he had to do was wash the dishes he used.
In less than five minutes, Easton had washed the dishes he used until they were spotless. After tidying up the tableware, he left the kitchen and headed to the living room.
